Joel B. Pollak says Frances Fox Piven, one of the co-authors of the Cloward-Piven strategy to overwhelm the state with millions of additional welfare claimants, has published an article in the Nation calling for the Occupy Wall Street movement to re-invigorate itself by recruiting the poor.
Isn't she a sweet granny-looking thing. In a telling admission that Occupy does not, in fact, represent the poor, Piven criticizes both liberals and unions for their repeated use of the term "middle class" in their political campaigns. Instead, she said, Occupy must appeal to issues that poor Americans care about: To fully realize an ethic of inclusion, the poorest and most benighted Americans should become part of our protest movement. We need to increase their numbers at our demonstrations, and we need to undertake the protest actions that deal with their most urgent needs -- including the attacks on the social safety net that hit them hardest.
While remnants of the ACORN organization did, apparently, pay poor people to attend Occupy Wall Street, Piven envisions a strategy that has a clearer ideological component. Instead of overwhelming the welfare system, as she once advocated, Piven now believes poor people should be mobilized to defend it -- ironically, perhaps, since the long hoped-for possibility of financial insolvency is no longer distant. Piven believes that an Occupy movement that succeeds in recruiting "a proud and angry" poor could bring about the kind of radical change that the American left had long sought (and which, perhaps, it had hoped to achieve in the Obama presidency): This could be one of those big turns in American political history, set in motion by indignant people who take to the streets or occupy the factories or the schools. And it will take an upheaval of historic dimensions to force the reigning financial and business interests and the politicians who kowtow to them to move in new directions, to cede a measure of democratic regulation of finance and business, to give in to policies that empower workers and their unions, to go along with policies that limit the corruption of electoral politics by big money and its propaganda and, not least, to restore and expand the safety net. For this to happen, the movement has to grow, and it has to include in its ranks the people who have been scorned and abused by corporate domination of our politics. Not only would OWS gain strength from the participation of the poor; participation in a great movement dedicated to reducing extreme inequality would also transform the poor. Our society would benefit from that transformation. A proud and angry poor could help to remake America.
Were it put to a vote, Piven’s proposal for dramatic economic upheaval would probably lose by a margin of… say, 99 percent to 1. Yet her views are influential within the radical American left–and familiar to its graduates in government, who are less a minority in the Obama administration than they have been in any other. And this radical is on the board of Project Vote!

Is there no way to shut up that vicious and ridiculously influential creature? She apparently has no American blood, no moral compass, nothing but a cavity full of hate where her heart and soul should be. What bent her into such a miserable and pitiable hollow imitation of a person who may well have someone who loves her. Not I, Grandma, not I. I don't know whether I pity or despise her more.

Frances Fox Piven says, "this spring, we’ll see action"
Madeleine Morgenstern is reporting Piven said: The Occupy Wall Street movement is entering the phase where it “makes trouble.”“We’ll see action against the banks, against the corporations.” Different forms of protests that will engage many people. Occupy was helped by “sympathetic” press coverage. Leftist professor and activist Frances Fox Piven last week predicted the Occupy Wall Street movement is entering the phase where it "makes trouble" and will soon be taking action against banks and other institutions. “It may well be that the Occupy movement is now in its second phase, in the phase where it makes trouble, in the phase where it threatens to shut down institutions,” Piven said. “The Occupy movement has moved into the neighborhoods of our cities, it has moved into the schools…. This spring, we’ll see action against the banks, against the corporations.” She added, “It is going to be a spring with lots of protests that take different forms and engage lots of people.” Piven made her comments during a lecture to a group of students at the University of Connecticut last Friday. She touched on the genesis of the Occupy movement, which she said was particularly a result of the financial crisis, which “exposed those in charge of the economy as illegitimate.” “The people who were sitting on top of the world, the top-tenth of the top 1 percent, were guilty. They were guilty of thievery, of chicanery,” Piven said.

This is a few days old but I haven't' seen it here so I'll post.
Breitbart called this the Story of the Decade!
Exclusive: SEIU Helps Occupy ‘Abolish Capitalism’
Breitbart.com has received exclusive tape of an Occupy Strategy Session at New York University, billed as a group talk on “The Abolition of Capitalism.” One of the headline speakers at this session was Stephen Lerner, former leader and International Board Member of the SEIU and frequent Obama White House visitor. Lerner argued in favor of people not paying their mortgages and “occupying” their homes; he spoke in favor of invading annual shareholders meetings to shut them down. But his big goal was to get workers to shut down their workplaces. That’s where the SEIU agenda and the Occupy agenda truly meet: once workers begin to occupy. Here are the relevant portions of the transcript: Let me just throw out a couple ideas here. One, I think a theme here that’s really important is Occupy Homes as a key part of the stew in multiple spheres. There’s eviction defense, there’s folks who are moving back into homes that they were evicted from that have been sitting empty, there’s community organizing, there’s a fight with Fannie and Freddie, but this notion that millions of people are losing their homes and we can physically help them save it, very important … This second question, this question of moving money, which has mainly been an individual act so far, you know, move your account out of a bank, getting institutions, schools, universities, school boards, to move money out of banks as a way to put them into either credit unions or things that do economic development, it captures both what is wrong with finance capital, but then it’s something everybody can do … In fact, it’s infused by the energy of somebody that just got thrown in jail for trying to keep their home … Annual meetings, shareholder meetings. We have this wonderful myth that goes on which is corporations get together and they so-called have shareholders vote on what’s gonna happen … Maybe our goal ought to be able to shut down as many of the shareholder meetings as possible. Inside and outside, saying this is where they gather to make the decisions about the fate of the world, and we’re sick and tired of them doing it in a little room. So why don’t we all go to those meetings? $5 a share right now, Bank of America … The eyes of the nation will see the first convention in Charlotte, which is thousands of people coming to the Bank of American meeting saying “Let’s shut it down … Who the hell are these people to be meeting and deciding our fate without us there?” But here’s the real crux of the matter: How do we give workers the confidence? … How do we create a mood in the nation where we’re occupying our workplaces, where we’re shutting down our workplaces? … Where workers are sitting in, where workers are shutting down their places of work, and when the police come, when the injunctions come, we’re all there with them, so we can really deal with part of the reason that the economy’s so screwed up … which is a few people have got all the power. Think stew, think hope, death to the Stockholm Syndrome! Lerner wasn’t the only one preaching this communist propaganda. The panel’s title told the whole story. This was an anti-capitalism panel. Lerner’s fellow panel members included David Graeber, who billed himself as “one of the original mobilizers behind Occupy Wall Street.” Graeber announced, “It strikes me that if one is going to pursue this to its logical conclusion, the only way to have a genuinely democratic society would also be to abolish capitalism and the state.” Yotam Marom, an Occupy Zuccotti Park “veteran,” said, “Capitalism doesn’t wither away just because we don’t like it. It’s something you that you have to crash into and have an alternative to.” Steve Max, a community organizer who worked closely with the revolutionary group Students for a Democratic Society, the parent group that spawned the Weathermen Underground, was also present. This is the same fellow who said after 9/11 that this was an opportunity to push the socialist program – because, after all, “How can anyone now say that they are for national security but not health funding”? He has walked in the same circles as President Obama. At this event, Max grabbed the mic and said that he understood political violence. Members of the audience also argued in favor of political violence, citing the beauty of the Weathermen Underground. This is where the unions and the Occupy movement and the academy all come together under one big anti-capitalist umbrella. Lerner, representing labor, says that the job of labor is to shut down business; Occupy says that its job is to smash the machines of capitalism; academia provides them the forum to recruit. Video

That old relic needs to be quietly put out to pasture, or in a certified home for the old and addled. I would love to get in a long line of real Americans wanting to slap her silly.

The problem with Piven is that she was addled in her youth, and she has not aged well.

Disturbing new Frances Fox Piven audio Francis Fox Piven admits all the leftist connections. According to Frances Fox Piven: - The Occupy Movement is made up of “All parts of the Left.”
- That includes proudly: “Democrats, Socialists, Communists, Anarchists.”
- Must all work together because of the “Huge task of transforming America and the world.”
- “We are all together”
A little hard to hear. The unedited version of Piven's speech is here.

Transforming America Does Piven's statement above sound familiar?
All you have to do is listen to these people. They'll tell you what they're about. Obama has never hidden his Marxist agenda. But the ObamaMedia will paint you as a lunatic if you point out that Obama's agenda is to destroy capitalism and socialize America. The evidence is everywhere except where it should be -- in the media.

99% Spring Movement on track to train 100,000 protestors Micheline Maynard says you may remember reading about The 99% Spring, a protest movement supported by political groups and organized labor that aspires to be the next Occupy movement. Its 40 co-sponsors include big names the United Auto Workers, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Moveon.org, and UNITE, the hospitality industry union. When The 99% Spring was announced in February, organizers vowed to train 100,000 people. It looks like they’ll easily make that goal when their training programs kick off next week. There are already 918 planned around the country. All the group needs is about 10 people at each session to meet its goal, and many of the programs have dozens of participants signed up. (You can look them up by zip code here.) The movement has a Twitter account, @the99spring. Over the weekend, the UAW sent emails to its members, encouraging them to take part in a training session. The goal is to make The 99% Spring “as big as possible,” the Teamsters said last week. “We’ll learn to tell the story of our economy and what went wrong, and we’ll learn how we can take action and create great change in this country.” You can read more about The 99% Spring and its roots at our public media project, Changing Gears. Any chance you’ll be taking part?

NOT A HEARTBEAT OF A CHANCE........ although I did look up to see what is happening here and there are two events one in Carson City, and one is Reno, already scheduled. WISH I KNEW OF A WAY TO STOP THOSE BA$TARDS........ we are a heavy Teamster and other Union jobs, STATE.... so my guess is that turnout may be pretty good at those Spring things, along with the fact that MOST of the people from the Unions that will turnout are UNEMPLOYED ALREADY, because of Obama's misplacement of the Stimulus and other monies that he has STOLEN from the WE THE PEOPLE.....
BTW, the list of the sponsers is quite revealing and long, take a look and see who you want to boycott in your spending endeavors, it is an eye opener. The list of all the sponsers is listed at the BOTTOM of the link listed in the missive portion of the above article and I took it and posted it in my post below......
