The preamble to tomorrow's meeting should be 30 minutes of viewing "Daylight".  Central to the meeting should be a history lesson from Netanyahu of both Israel and the results of the Islamic "world view" throughout the world.  The encounter should end by Netanyahu advising the president that he already has dinner reservations, so not to bother inviting him to dine with the family!

I thought that I saw on the news the other day where Obama had given Egypt 5 Billion Dollars for the release of the US citizens that were staying at the Embassy not being allowed to leave, this money was sort of bail?????????

Tomorrows "meeting" with Netanyahu should prove interesting.  Wonder if Obama will treat him any better this time.

Egypt: Camp David Accord days numbered?

As the Islamists -- the Muslim Brotherhood or Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun and Salafi al-Nour party -- begin to form a majority in the Egyptian parliament, there is increasing talk that members want the 1978 Camp David Accords revised, according to a report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The accord formed the basis for a peace treaty the following year between Egypt and Israel which has provided for Israel’s security for more than 30 years. Now, as the Islamists move into the majority based on recent elections the accord is coming under attack as being one-sided in favor of Israel.

Those accusations have come from the Brotherhood and Salafists.

"Al-Nour party can in no way ignore the Arab nations and Arab world’s rights and the restoration of these rights is an unchangeable principle of the party," according to al-Nour spokesman Nader Bakar. "Al-Nour is against the establishment of any relations with the Zionist (Israel) regime."

A spokesman for the Ikhwan al-Muslimun called for revision of the accord, describing it as "cruel." According to a Brotherhood spokesman, Kamal al-Halbawi, there are changes to be expected following the recent revolution and subsequent elections and "issues should be studied and dealt with. Hence, the issue of revising the Camp David Accord will also be in the list of the top priorities of Egypt’s new officials to be studied in its appropriate time."

There also is talk of revising the accord to allow more Egyptian troops to be stationed in the Sinai Peninsula, which now is a very limited number.

"Since the Zionist regime has several times breached the Camp David Accord," said Gamal Mazloum, a former Egyptian ambassador to the Palestinian territories, "Egypt should use its power and increase its military presence in the Sinai Desert if the Israeli regime rejects a willing modification of Camp David."

Still other Egyptian political activists are more direct about the life of the Camp David Accord. "Camp David has been annulled and has no more credit and value," declared George Ishaq, a member of Egypt’s National Association for Change.

Will Egypt's Islamists want to surrender the $2 billion a year they receive from the U. S. as baksheesh (a bribe)?  No.  They'll still want that.

Will Obama give them what they want?

Probably.

I saw a tweet from truthteam2012 either yesterday or this morning that said that Obama never said he wanted to go back to pre 1967 borders.  I couldn't believe it but I didn't click on the link to see how it was spun.  It made me sick.

Josh Rogin says that one day before the AIPAC conference kicks off in Washington, an anti-Obama pro-Israel group is widening its criticism of Barack Obama's record on Israel -- while the White House defends its treatment of the relationship.

The trailer for a new 30-minute video, entitled "Daylight: The Story of Obama and Israel," cuts together clips of Obama quotes and outside commentary to put forth the narrative that Obama has made statements and taken actions as president that have put him out of step with the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters.

"We believe that that the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines," Obama is shown saying, a reference to his May, 2011 speech, where he for the first time explicitly defined U.S. policy as supporting the 1967 borders with agreed swaps as the basis for Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

"He didn't quite have a full grasp of what the full region looks like," conservative journalist Lee Smith is shown saying in the video. "This is not how you treat an ally."

The ad goes beyond the Israeli issue to suggest that Obama is too solicitous of Muslim concerns. Near the end of the trailer, at the 57-second mark, it shows him saying, "I want to make sure we end before the call to prayer," a clip from his town hall meeting with Turkish students in Istanbul in April 2009.

The video was produced by the group the Emergency Committee for Israel, which has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on its pre-AIPAC publicity campaign, including posters and billboards all over Washington that question Obama's commitment to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

"He says a nuclear Iran is unacceptable. Do you believe him?" the posters read. Then, next to a picture of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini and President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, it says, "Do they?"
