Campus fascism rising

Matthew Vadum (TruthRevolt) says acts of violence and physical intimidation aimed at conservatives on American campuses are growing -- and college administrators, who sympathize with the progressive fascist lynch mobs doing the misdeeds, are generally fine with the mayhem.

Although universities and colleges are supposed to be places where ideas are exchanged and challenged, they are easily the most reactionary institutions in modern American society. Confronting the established wisdom there is a career-ender. Free speech exists in theory but only within the narrowest of prescribed limits. Speakers who violate the politically correct canon are shouted down, demonized, and assaulted. Truly new ideas are anathema in the academy, at least in the humanities and social sciences.

Question identity politics, the cult of multiculturalism, or the evil inherent in white people and America, and your life in academia will be over before it begins.

"The cultural Marxism ideology that created identity politics in the first place now permeates the university far beyond the classroom," opines Bruce Thornton, "and enables an intolerance for competing ideas, not to mention shutting down the 'free play of the mind on all subjects' that [English cultural critic] Matthew Arnold identified as the core mission of liberal education."

And so the dominant illiberal ideology in higher education snuffs out its competition, marginalizing original thinking and combating intellectual diversity -- and this weaponized intolerance spills over into the culture at large along the way. Free speech is a threat to the authoritarian glue that holds these taxpayer-supported warehouses of student indoctrination and conformity together, so it must be regulated. There is almost no life of the mind nowadays; there is the dictatorship of thought commissars. And woe to those who fail to toe the line.

"The thuggishness and violence of the Sixties demonstrations at their height exceeded what we see today," Stanley Kurtz reflects. "Yet today's chronic, pervasive, and steadily growing vise-grip of campus orthodoxy, punctuated and enforced by occasional shout-downs and meeting takeovers, is in its way more dangerous."

Kurtz adds:

There are plenty of indications that campus free speech is more besieged nowadays than it's been in decades. Trigger warnings, safe spaces, and microaggressions signal a cultural sea-change. Anti-Israel shout-downs and disruptions have multiplied dramatically. These are no longer occasional embarrassing episodes but the fruit of a deliberate strategy devised by influential sectors of the campus left.

Courage is rarely found in the academy nowadays, laments Adam Goldstein, a Justice Robert H. Jackson Legal Fellow at the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE).

It is astonishing to see how few schools are willing to stand up and actually say, I'm going to follow that constitutional line and say that disruption is where I'm going to step in. Because a lot of schools want to take the position that if protest is speech then disruptive protest is also speech and that just isn't the way the Constitution works.

Even at schools that put forward at least a good-faith effort to protect free speech, there are student-staffed Thought Police battalions pressing for official censorship of ideas they don't like.

Take the case of independent scholar Heather Mac Donald and her increasingly frequent run-ins on campus with the George Soros-funded storm-troopers of Black Lives Matter.

Mac Donald's April 5 speech at UCLA was taken over by obnoxious Black Lives Matter demonstrators. College Republicans had invited her to give a "Blue Lives Matter" presentation, blue in this case being shorthand for the police. Mac Donald is Thomas W. Smith Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a contributing editor at City Journal. She is the author of books such as The War on Cops (2016) and Are Cops Racist? (2012).

She began to deliver a speech April 7 at Claremont McKenna College near Los Angeles after Black Lives Matter frightened most of her audience away. BLM had promised to "shut down" the event, baselessly assailing the speaker as an "anti-black fascist." Mac Donald began webcasting the event but campus police whisked her away to safety after raucous disrupters began banging on windows. Mac Donald blamed an "exercise of brute totalitarian force" for the shut-down of her event.

Mac Donald is a fierce critic of BLM. After the event she blamed the movement and student demonstrators for inner-city violence. "What's happening, thanks to the Black Lives Matter movement, is that cops are backing off of proactive policing, leaving those law-abiding residents without any public order," she said.

Alluding to the Ferguson effect, Mac Donald said police are afraid to do their jobs because they're verbally attacked and harassed when they pull cars over. "This is thanks to the false ideology that we're living through an epidemic of racially biased police shootings." Universities are "spewing out an ideology of racial victimhood."

This war on police comes from former President Obama and his agitation outfit Organizing for Action, former Attorneys General Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, Al Sharpton, DNC Chairman Tom Perez and his deputy, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), and the rest of the activist Left.

Nowadays police all over the country are increasingly reluctant, or in some cases outright unwilling, to perform their duties as law enforcement personnel. They know that government officials, eager to pander to loud, angry lynch mobs in the street, don't have their back. So cops are taking unnecessary chances, ignoring police safety protocols and giving dangerous suspects the benefit of the doubt.

In this unusual case, the school's administration was angered that Mac Donald was silenced. College president Hiram E. Chodosh has promised to punish the disruptive students. Peter Uvin, vice president for academic affairs, denounced the angry mob.

What we face here is not an attempt to demonstrate, or to ask tough questions of our speaker, all of which are both protected and cherished on this campus, but rather to make it impossible for her to speak, for you to listen, and for all of us to debate.

Activists even refused to allow student journalists to cover the speaking event.

"Protesters tried to prevent me from conducting interviews by pushing me, grabbing me, and blocking my camera. Several protesters followed me around for almost an hour and formed a wall around me," a student reporter was quoted saying.

Three students at Claremont McKenna's sister school, Pomona College, wrote an open letter to that college's president, David Oxtoby, demanding he withdraw his stated commitment to free speech because, they said, it "has become a tool appropriated by hegemonic institutions." They add that "truth" and "objectivity" are white-supremacist myths.

The letter writers -- Dray Denson, Avery Jonas and Shanaya Stephenson -- also demanded that student journalists at the Claremont Independent newspaper be thrown in the stockade for doing their jobs. The paper's staff should be punished for their "continual perpetuation of hate speech, anti-Blackness, and intimidation toward students of marginalized backgrounds."

Then there was the case of political scientist Charles Murray.

Violent disrupters shut down his talk March 2 at Middlebury College in Vermont. At the event, Allison Stanger, a 56-year-old Harvard-educated political scientist at Middlebury, was attacked and injured by an angry mob as she was exfiltrated with Murray from the hostile environment. "I didn't see it happen, but someone grabbed Allison's hair just as someone else shoved her from another direction, damaging muscles, tendons, and fascia in her neck," according to Murray, the W.H. Brady Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. Stanger said she "feared for her life."

Thuggish demonstrators who have never read his most famous book, The Bell Curve, and who likely lack the intellectual capacity to understand it, mindlessly denounced the opus -- and him -- as racist and said he shouldn't be allowed to speak at the campus.

Murray is protested at more or less every student venue where he speaks. Later the same month Murray's speech at Notre Dame on March 28 was protested. Left-wing graduate students signed an open letter filled with all the usual smears, denouncing Murray as a racist ignoramus. "Not only is his research shoddy and jejune, his arguments are profoundly racist and discriminatory," they wrote.

Then there is the University of California at Berkeley, which is in a speech-suppressing league of its own. Violence against conservatives is nothing new at Berkeley. It is tolerated, and in some cases, even encouraged by local authorities. The local government is very slow to order police into action while conservatives are being beaten or otherwise having their civil rights violated. City and campus police often sit on the sidelines when Republicans get roughed up.

Left-wingers violently attacked Trump supporters at a UC Berkeley rally this past weekend. On April 15 Trump backers were hit by so-called "antifa," or self-styled anti-fascists who use fascist methods. Sticks, fireworks, smoke bombs, pepper spray, and rocks were thrown around during the melee. There were 21 arrests, including for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and 11 people were injured. Police, for the most part, did nothing.

The unrest came days after Berkeley College Republicans withdrew an April 12 speaking invitation for David Horowitz, because the college administration sabotaged it by placing burdensome, Kafkaesque restrictions on it. The university changed the time of the event to make it difficult for students to attend and insisted it be held at a venue half a mile off-campus. And at the last minute it informed hosts that they would have to cough up close to $6,000 for "security," along with $2,000 to rent the room that was half a mile from campus.

While UC Berkeley and "universities like it discourage conservatives, they open their arms to racist organizations like Black Lives Matter and terrorist support groups like Students for Justice in Palestine, [along with] a range of radical organizations," Horowitz wrote.

Left-wingers attacked Trump supporters at a pro-Trump rally in Berkeley on March 4. Ten arrests were reported.

There was the bloody riot Feb. 1 that prevented Milo Yiannopoulos from delivering a David Horowitz Freedom Center-sponsored speech demanding the end of "sanctuary campuses" that harbor illegal aliens. Milo's address, which was canceled amid violent mob attacks, fire-setting, and wanton property destruction, had been scheduled to mark the launch of the Freedom Center's #nosanctuarycampusforcriminals campaign.

"One thing we do know for sure: the Left is absolutely terrified of free speech and will do literally anything to shut it down," Yiannopoulos said after being safely evacuated from the campus.

But at this late stage in the leftist transmogrification of American campus culture, can anything be done?

Bruce Thornton remains stubbornly optimistic. The "problem of leftists shutting down conservative speakers in order to reinforce their intolerance of opposing points of view," could be fixed with a federal policy change.

[A] Department of Education "dear colleague" letter [could be issued] informing college administrators that they will be held accountable if they do not use campus police to remove disruptive protestors and protect the audience and speaker's Constitutional right to free speech, the heart and soul of a genuine college education.

Thornton continues:

And if such behavior continues -- or if the university imposes astronomical fees on the organizers, as UC Berkeley did to cancel the appearance of Freedom Center founder David Horowitz -- the offending campus could be hit with an investigation by the DOE's Division of Civil Rights, and the reduction or elimination of federal funds. That's how Obama's DOE back in 2011 set off the current plague of campus star-chambers persecuting alleged sexual offenders with unconstitutional investigations and hearings.

In addition, Congress should approve legislation "revising sexual harassment law and tightening its overly vague language like 'hostile' and 'intimidating.'" Title IX, which he calls "an open-ended invitation for any subjective, neurotic, or even psychopathic perception to turn disliked behavior into legally sanctioned 'discrimination' requiring investigation and prosecution," also needs amending, he writes.

"These bad laws, and the politicized interpretations of them by politicized federal agencies, are the source of the 'microaggression' and 'safe space' nonsense now metastasizing throughout college campuses."

Fed-up Americans could also stop donating to offending colleges and universities.

It's worth a try at least.

Two weeks of great clarity

Dennis Prager (TownHall) says If you prize clarity, then these past weeks were some of the best in memory.

1. When America leads, the world is better.

For the first time in eight years, the allies of America and the world's decent people celebrated America's return to leadership. Just about all of them understand that if the United States doesn't exercise its power, the worst regimes on Earth will.

The Left claims to care about the downtrodden of the world, but this concern is a moral fraud. The downtrodden the Left most care about are American blacks, women and gays. And Palestinians. But these groups aren't downtrodden; they are merely a vehicle by which the Left attacks America and Israel to gain power. The truly downtrodden -- that is, the most oppressed people in the world, such as Christians living in the Middle East, and the victims of Syrian President Bashar Assad's tyranny -- know who really cares about them: Trump and America's conservatives.

2. The terrible reign of Barack Obama is beginning to be acknowledged.

Following President Trump's order to attack Syria about 63 hours after the Syrian regime seemingly used chemical weapons, even many in the mainstream media couldn't help but contrast his prompt response with Obama's nonresponse to Assad's use of chemical weapons in 2013. And almost every report further noted that Obama failed to do anything after having promised that he would regard the use of chemical weapons by Assad as crossing a "red line."

Likewise, Obama's do-nothing policies vis-a-vis North Korea are being contrasted with Trump's warnings to leader Kim Jung Un about further testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles and pressure on China's leaders to rein in the North Korean regime.

These contrasts are important for a number of reasons, not the least of which being there is now hope that Obama's star will dim as time goes on.

This will come as somewhat of a surprise to those on the Left , but many of us who are not on the Left believe that Obama did more damage to America than any previous president -- economically, militarily and socially.

Regarding the social damage, as the first black president in American history, he could have been an unprecedented force for racial healing but instead left America more racially divided than any modern president. In his repeated citing of Ferguson, for example, he helped spread the lie that a racist white Missouri police officer had killed an innocent black teenager without reason (other than racial bias).

He deceived the American people (the "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" assertion and more) in order to pass Obamacare, one of the largest government-expanding programs in American history. He used presidential power in an unprecedentedly authoritarian manner. He showed far more understanding of the Iranian theocracy than of the Israeli democracy. His Internal Revenue Service and Department of Justice were politicized in ways reminiscent of corrupt Third World regimes. And he Left America fighting a (thus far nonviolent) second Civil War.

3. The interminably repeated left-wing lie that Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are in cahoots has exploded. With Trump's military attack on Assad and verbal attacks on Russia, that claim has been shown to be what those with a little common sense knew it to be: a baseless, wholly made-up conspiracy theory meant to explain an election loss with which Democrats still haven't come to grips. In fact, President Trump has shown more backbone with Russia in his first 100 days in office than President Obama did in eight years.

4. Another charge made over and over by the Left -- the mainstream media, academia and the Democratic Party -- that the Trump election had unleashed an unprecedented amount of anti-Semitism was proven to be yet another left-wing hysteria based on a left-wing lie. It turned out that bomb threats phoned into Jewish community centers and Jewish agencies came not from Trump supporters and "white supremacists" but from a black radical and a disturbed young American Jew living in Israel.

Given that factual and moral clarity are conservatism's greatest allies, we may be witnessing the beginning of a conservative Renaissance, the likes of which we haven't seen since the advent of progressivism.

College Students say "truth" is a white man's construct -- demand action against conservative reporters

Trey Sanchez says there is no arguing with people who believe in their own truth.

Black students from the Claremont Colleges near Los Angeles penned a letter to the outgoing president of Pomona College to let him know that "truth" is a white man's construct and demand he "take action" against conservative journalists at the school's newspaper, the Claremont Independent.

After a protest in early April of pro-police author and Black Lives Matter critic Heather Mac Donald, which shut down her planned speech, President David Oxtoby addressed all college students, reminding them the importance of academic freedom.

"Protest has a legitimate and celebrated place on college campuses," Oxtoby stated. "What we cannot support is the act of preventing others from engaging with an invited speaker. Our mission is founded upon the discovery of truth, the collaborative development of knowledge and the betterment of society."

However, the three black students who penned the letter disagree and see "free speech" as something white people hide behind to protect their bigotry:

"Free speech, a right many freedom movements have fought for, has recently become a tool appropriated by hegemonic institutions. It has not just empowered students from marginalized backgrounds to voice their qualms and criticize aspects of the institution, but it has given those who seek to perpetuate systems of domination a platform to project their bigotry.

"Thus, if 'our mission is founded upon the discovery of truth,' how does free speech uphold that value?"

Then there is the matter of "truth" which, to them, is also rooted in racism:

"Historically, white supremacy has venerated the idea of objectivity, and wielded a dichotomy of 'subjectivity vs. objectivity' as a means of silencing oppressed peoples. The idea that there is a single truth -- 'the Truth' -- is a construct of the Euro-West that is deeply rooted in the Enlightenment, which was a movement that also described Black and Brown people as both subhuman and impervious to pain. This construction is a myth and white supremacy, imperialism, colonization, capitalism, and the United States of America are all of its progeny. The idea that the truth is an entity for which we must search, in matters that endanger our abilities to exist in open spaces, is an attempt to silence oppressed peoples."

The undergrads' letter also attacked Mac Donald as "a fascist, a white supremacist, a warhawk, a transphobe, a queerphobe, a classist, and ignorant of interlocking systems of domination that produce the lethal conditions under which oppressed peoples are forced to live." Accompanying that mouthful was further accusations against the conservative speaker that her mere presence on campus threatened "the right of Black people to exist."

These students' demands included President Oxtoby issuing an apology for his campus-wide e-mail and declare that the college "does not tolerate hate speech and speech that projects violence onto the bodies of its marginalized students and oppressed peoples."

There was another demand, as the Claremont Independent notes:

The students also demand that the Claremont Colleges "take action" against the staff of the Claremont Independent for their "continual perpetuation of hate speech, anti-Blackness, and intimidation toward students of marginalized backgrounds." Taking a step further, they call for "disciplinary action" against conservative journalists from the Claremont Colleges.

"We also demand that Pomona College and the Claremont University Consortium entities take action against the Claremont Independent editorial staff for its continual perpetuation of hate speech, anti-Blackness, and intimidation toward students of marginalized backgrounds," they write. "Provided that the Claremont Independent releases the identity of students involved with this letter and such students begin to receive threats and hate mail, we demand that this institution and its constituents take legal action against members of the Claremont Independent involved with the editing and publication process as well as disciplinary action, such as expulsion on the grounds of endangering the wellbeing of others."

In the end, there is no debating people who don't believe in truth or objectivity. Their reality is whatever serves their aims. There is no interest in searching for "the truth" because they believe everybody has "their own truth." Plus, in their minds, they've already won the argument.

The "Resistance" Democrats are a terrorist party

Daniel Greenfield (FrontPage) asks, "what does #Resistance really mean?

It means the overthrow of our government.

In this century, Democrats rejected the outcomes of two presidential elections won by Republicans. After Bush won, they settled for accusing him of being a thief, an idiot, a liar, a draft dodger and a mass murderer. They fantasized about his assassination and there was talk of impeachment. But elected officials gritted their teeth and tried to get things done.

This time around it's "radically" different.

The official position, from the Senate to the streets, is "Resistance." Leftist media outlets are feeding the faithful a fantasy that President Trump will be brought down. There is fevered speculation about the 25th Amendment, a coup or impeachment due to whatever scandal has been manufactured last.

This fantasy is part clickbait. Leftist media outlets are feeding the worst impulses of their readers. But there is a bigger and more disturbing radical endgame.

The Left can be roughly divided into moderates and radicals. The distinction doesn't refer to outcome; both want very similar totalitarian societies with very little personal freedom and a great deal of government control. Instead it's about the tactics that they use to get to that totalitarian system.

The "moderates" believe in working from within the system to transform the country into a leftist tyranny. The "radicals" believe that the system is so bad that it cannot even be employed for progressive ends. Instead it needs to be discredited and overthrown by radicalizing a revolutionary base.

Radicals radicalize moderates by discrediting the system they want to be a part of. Where moderates seek to impose a false consensus from within the system, radicals attack the system through violent protests and terrorism. Their goal is to set off a chain of confrontations that make it impossible to maintain civil society and polarize the backlash and chaos into consolidating the Left for total war.

That is what "Resistance" actually means.

A similar program implemented in Europe, with a covert alliance between Communists and Nazis, led to the deaths of millions, the destruction of much of Europe and the temporary triumph of the Left.

The radical left's efforts in America caused death and destruction but, despite the sympathy of many liberals for terrorist groups such as the Weathermen and the Black Panthers, failed to escalate because the majority of Democrats and even liberals did not accept the premise that our system was illegitimate.

That began to change this century.

64% of Democrats insisted thatPresident Bush had not been legitimately elected. 49% declared that he was not a legitimate president. 22% vowed never to accept him no matter what he might do.

After 9/11, over half of Democrats believed that Bush had known about or been involved in the attacks.

Anywhere from two-thirds to a quarter of the Democrats rejected the results of a presidential election, rejected the president and suspected him of conspiring to murder thousands of Americans.

The Left was winning. Much of its natural "moderate" base viewed our government as illegitimate.

The Left has declared that President Trump's victory is illegitimate. The response is "Resistance." That covers violent anti-government protesters, states declaring that they are no longer bound to follow Federal immigration law and Senators obstructing for the sake of obstruction.

It's easy to get lost in the partisan turmoil of the moment, but it's important to understand the implications. If two presidential elections were illegitimate, then our entire system of elections might be illegitimate. And indeed the Left made exactly that case with its attack on the Electoral College.

The Left pressed Dems to oppose President Trump for the sake of opposition. The goal wasn't just spite. It was to break the government. When the Left forced Senate Dems to filibuster President Trump's Supreme Court nominee, the filibuster became the first casualty of the fight. The goal of the radicals was to make bipartisan legislative activity impossible. Senate Democrats adopted the position of the radical left that their mission was wrecking institutions to deny them to Republicans rather than governing.

Once that was done, the radical left could unveil arguments such as, "The United States Senate is a Failed Institution". Much like our system of elections and every other part of our government.

The radical left's goal is to convince its natural base that our system of government is illegitimate. It knows that this can't be limited to the theoretical level of ideology. Instead it must radicalize by demonstrating it. It does not seriously believe that President Trump will be removed from office by the 25th Amendment or any other aspect of the system. Instead it is feeding these fantasies so that when they fall through those on the Left who believed in them will be further radicalized by their failure.

And Democrats have become complicit in the radical left's program to bring down the government.

They have normalized the radical leftist position that our system is illegitimate. They have moved into the second phase of the Left's program of demonstrating that illegitimacy through confrontation. The final phase is to overthrow the system through actions ranging from protests to terrorism.

This is Cloward-Piven institutional sabotage on a whole other scale. The goal is to collapse our entire system of government. And the Democrats have climbed on board with it using President Trump as a pretext. But regardless of which Republican had won, the end result would have been the same.

The Left makes its opposition to the Constitution, the election process and the rule of law into a crisis. And then it uses that crisis to demand a new system. It has pursued this approach successfully in local areas and in narrower causes. This is not the first time that it has embarked on such a project on the national level. But this is the first time that it has the full support of a major national political party.

And that is the true crisis that we face.

The Left's endgame is a totalitarian state. Its "moderates" pursue one by peaceful means only so long as they are allowed to hijack the system. When an election fails to go their way, the radicals brandish it as proof that the system has failed and that violent revolution is the only answer.

But what was once the obscure behavior of a deranged political fringe has become the mainstream politics of the Democrats. The Resistance theme shows that the radicals have won. The Democrats haven't just fallen to the Left. They have fallen to the radical left which believes in overthrowing our system of government through conflict and confrontation rather than covertly engineering change.

The Democrats have become a terrorist party. And their commitment to a radical revolution has plunged our political system into chaos. The Left is now exactly where it wanted to be.

And a civil war has begun.

The civil war is here -- and there's nothing civil about it

Daniel Greenfield (FrontPage) says a civil war has begun.

This civil war is very different than the last one. There are no cannons or cavalry charges. The Left doesn't want to secede. It wants to rule. Political conflicts become civil wars when one side refuses to accept the existing authority. The Left has rejected all forms of authority that it doesn't control.

The Left has rejected the outcome of the last two presidential elections won by Republicans. It has rejected the judicial authority of the Supreme Court when it decisions don't accord with its agenda. It rejects the legislative authority of Congress when it is not dominated by the left.

It rejected the Constitution so long ago that it hardly bears mentioning.

It was for total unilateral executive authority under Obama. And now it's for states unilaterally deciding what laws they will follow. (As long as that involves defying immigration laws under Trump, not following them under Obama.) It was for the sacrosanct authority of the Senate when it held the majority. Then it decried the Senate as an outmoded institution when the Republicans took it over.

It was for Obama defying the orders of Federal judges, no matter how well grounded in existing law, and it is for Federal judges overriding any order by Trump on any grounds whatsoever. It was for Obama penalizing whistleblowers, but now undermining the government from within has become "patriotic."

There is no form of legal authority that the Left accepts as a permanent institution. It only utilizes forms of authority selectively when it controls them. But when government officials refuse the orders of the duly elected government because their allegiance is to an ideology whose agenda is in conflict with the President and Congress, that's not activism, protest, politics or civil disobedience; it's treason.

After losing Congress, the Left consolidated its authority in the White House. After losing the White House, the Left shifted its center of authority to Federal judges and unelected government officials. Each defeat led the radicalized Democrats to relocate from more democratic to less democratic institutions.

This isn't just hypocrisy. That's a common political sin. Hypocrites maneuver within the system. The Left has no allegiance to the system. It accepts no laws other than those dictated by its ideology.

Democrats have become radicalized by the left. This doesn't just mean that they pursue all sorts of bad policies. It means that their first and foremost allegiance is to an ideology, not the Constitution, not our country or our system of government. All of those are only to be used as vehicles for their ideology.

That's why compromise has become impossible.

Our system of government was designed to allow different groups to negotiate their differences. But those differences were supposed to be based around finding shared interests. The most profound of these shared interests was that of a common country based around certain civilizational values. The Left has replaced these Founding ideas with radically different notions and principles. It has rejected the primary importance of the country. As a result it shares little in the way of interests or values.

Instead it has retreated to cultural urban and suburban enclaves where it has centralized tremendous amounts of power while disregarding the interests and values of most of the country. If it considers them at all, it is convinced that they will shortly disappear to be replaced by compliant immigrants and college indoctrinated leftists who will form a permanent demographic majority for its agenda.

But it couldn't wait that long because it is animated by the conviction that enforcing its ideas is urgent and inevitable. And so it turned what had been a hidden transition into an open break.

In the hidden transition, its authority figures had hijacked the law and every political office they held to pursue their ideological agenda. The Left had used its vast cultural power to manufacture a consensus that was slowly transitioning the country from American values to its values and agendas. The right had proven largely impotent in the face of a program which corrupted and subverted from within.

The Left was enormously successful in this regard. It was so successful that it lost all sense of proportion and decided to be open about its views and to launch a political power struggle after losing an election.

The Democrats were no longer being slowly injected with leftist ideology. Instead the Left openly took over and demanded allegiance to open borders, identity politics and environmental fanaticism. The exodus of voters wiped out the Democrats across much of what the Left deemed flyover country.

The Left responded to democratic defeats by retreating deeper into undemocratic institutions, whether it was the bureaucracy or the corporate media, while doubling down on its political radicalism. It is now openly defying the outcome of a national election using a coalition of bureaucrats, corporations, unelected officials, celebrities and reporters that are based out of its cultural and political enclaves.

It has responded to a lost election by constructing sanctuary cities and states thereby turning a cultural and ideological secession into a legal secession. But while secessionists want to be left alone authoritarians want everyone to follow their laws. The Left is an authoritarian movement that wants total compliance with its dictates with severe punishments for those who disobey.

The Left describes its actions as principled. But more accurately they are ideological. Officials at various levels of government have rejected the authority of the President of the United States, of Congress and of the Constitution because those are at odds with their radical ideology. Judges have cloaked this rejection in law. Mayors and governors are not even pretending that their actions are lawful.

The choices of this civil war are painfully clear.

We can have a system of government based around the Constitution with democratically elected representatives. Or we can have one based on the ideological principles of the Left in which all laws and processes, including elections and the Constitution, are fig leaves for enforcing social justice.

But we cannot have both.

Some civil wars happen when a political conflict can't be resolved at the political level. The really bad ones happen when an irresolvable political conflict combines with an irresolvable cultural conflict.

That is what we have now.

The Left has made it clear that it will not accept the lawful authority of our system of government. It will not accept the outcome of elections. It will not accept these things because they are at odds with its ideology and because they represent the will of large portions of the country whom they despise.

The question is what comes next.

The last time around growing tensions began to explode in violent confrontations between extremists on both sides. These extremists were lauded by moderates who mainstreamed their views. The first Republican president was elected and rejected. The political tensions led to conflict and then civil war.

The Left doesn't believe in secession. It's an authoritarian political movement that has lost democratic authority. There is now a political power struggle underway between the democratically elected officials and the undemocratic machinery of government aided by a handful of judges and local elected officials.

What this really means is that there are two competing governments; the legal government and a treasonous anti-government of the left. If this political conflict progresses, agencies and individuals at every level of government will be asked to demonstrate their allegiance to these two competing governments. And that can swiftly and explosively transform into an actual civil war.

There is no sign that the Left understands or is troubled by the implications of the conflict it has initiated. And there are few signs that Democrats properly understand the dangerous road that the radical left is drawing them toward. The Left assumes that the winners of a democratic election will back down rather than stand on their authority. It is unprepared for the possibility that democracy won't die in darkness.

Civil wars end when one side is forced to accept the authority of the other. The Left expects everyone to accept its ideological authority. Conservatives expect the Left to accept Constitutional authority. The conflict is still political and cultural. It's being fought in the media and within the government. But if neither side backs down, then it will go beyond words as both sides give contradictory orders.

The Left is a treasonous movement. The Democrats became a treasonous organization when they fell under the sway of a movement that rejects our system of government, its laws and its elections. Now their treason is coming to a head. They are engaged in a struggle for power against the government. That's not protest. It's not activism. The old treason of the sixties has come of age. A civil war has begun.

This is a primal conflict between a totalitarian system and a democratic system. Its outcome will determine whether we will be a free nation or a nation of slaves.

Obama, Organizing for Action, and the death throes of the Democratic Party

Scott Powell (TruthRevolt) says if you think you're going crazy from non-stop news coverage of unruly, hateful and disruptive behavior and protests across the country since Donald Trump was elected President, rest assured there are veiled reasons for the current madness. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Michael Goodwin asserts the 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' is no temporarily insane reaction, but rather "a calculated plan to wreck the presidency, whatever the cost to the country."

Just one week before Trump was inaugurated, then President Obama issued an extraordinary executive order, a reckless departure to longstanding policy, to allow the NSA to share with the FBI, CIA and 14 other intelligence agencies which continue to employ numerous Obama holdovers, the raw data and communications intercepts of private American citizens -- collected without warrants, court orders or congressional authorizations.  A plausible reason for Obama to issue this executive order at the end of his office was to set the stage for sabotaging the new government. Obama's executive order effectively created and formalized a "conveyer belt" leak mechanism, setting the stage for a "rolling coup" against the Trump administration.  The first head to roll was Lieutenant General Michael Flynn who was taken down within two weeks of taking office as Director of National Security.

Political correctness remains so dominant in language and culture in the U.S., that no one dares utter the word sedition.  Unbeknownst to most Americans, Barack Obama is the first ex-president in 228 years of U.S. history to structure and lead a political organization, a shadow government, for the explicit purpose of sabotaging his successor -- duly elected President Donald Trump. The primary vehicle of this campaign is Organizing for Action (OFA), legally founded in January 2013 by First Lady Michelle Obama and her husband's 2012 campaign manager Jim Messina, with input from David Axelrod.

Being respectful and accepting loss when your team doesn't win -- essential for the functioning of any electoral representative democracy and a fundamental lesson every child used to learn through competitive sports -- has been destroyed by the left and appears no longer relevant for many in today's millennial generation. It was telling that so many millennials embraced Bernie Sanders, not because his socialist platform was workable, but rather because their attitudes had been so conditioned by traditional and social media and educational institutions in the U.S. that embrace all things progressive while giving short shrift to the virtues of the American story and its animating ideas. Those ideas have always been workable because they revolve around freedom that ties rights to responsibilities, the creative power of free markets and the benefits of a Constitution that mitigates government abuse through separation of powers while also ensuring stability through the rule of law.

The modus operandi of OFA comes right out of Obama's support and sympathy for Marxism and his background as a left-wing community organizer.  It's a combination of agitation and propaganda -- much like old-style Soviet agitprop, and Chicago-based Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals.

For Alinsky, the rules start with an ends justifies the means quest for power, which can entail  lawbreaking, deception and concealing the true revolutionary agenda;  militant obstructionism; and deflecting debate on substance while relentlessly attacking the character and legitimacy of the opponent.

Agitprop is synonymous with community organizing in that both focus on stirring up public grievance over an issue for the purpose of mobilizing that constituency to join like-minded people to protest and demonstrate, which provides made-for-TV drama scenes portraying "extemporaneous" mass protests that in turn get transmitted to millions through the media. This feedback loop is a key driver of fake news.

For instance, immediately following President Trump's late January executive order temporarily banning refugees and visitors from seven lawless states that harbor terrorists, OFA kicked into action, mobilizing people to "spontaneously" demonstrate, causing utter chaos at nearly a dozen of the busiest airports across the country.  Hardly spontaneous, it was in fact staged, courtesy of ex-president Barack Obama.  Ditto for what happened in late February with members of congress town hall meetings across the country. A week before the town halls started,  OFA released its "Congressional Recess Toolkit," a training manual for activists and demonstrators, invoking them to go in groups and get to meeting halls early and "spread out…throughout the front half of the room, [which] will make the perception of broad consensus a reality for your member of congress."  So perception drives fake news which is intended to drive reality.

Many have wondered why Obama didn't follow the tradition of almost every other ex-president and depart Washington after his term was up.  Instead he moved into large home in Washington D.C.'s Embassy Row, allegedly to provide continuity for his daughter's education and to stay close to the shapers of his presidential legacy.  Those reasons are likely secondary to his vision and commitment to the "transformation" of America.  Ramping up a hydra-headed organizational effort through OFA out of his 8,200 square foot walled mansion in Washington to protect the Left's gains and to sabotage the electoral victory of Donald Trump is simply a natural progression for Obama.

Obama is no fool and he understands -- having encouraged Black Lives Matter and the war on police and law enforcement, having facilitated ballooning welfare rolls and doubling student debt to $1.35 trillion, having presided over  a flood of immigrants illegally crossing the southern border, and having pushed unprecedented deficit spending that added nearly a trillion dollars annually to the federal debt and doubling that debt in eight years to $20 trillion -- that the U.S. is nearer collapse than at any previous time. And every Marxist knows that socialist transformation first requires collapse of the old order.

Obama has not only been trained in Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, but he's familiar with   the "crisis strategy theory" of Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, two neo-Marxists who taught at Columbia University, where Obama later studied. For Cloward and Piven, the left's easiest route to socialist transformation is to overload the welfare state, which will trigger an insolvency crisis and financial collapse.   U.S. Congressmen Steven King (R-Iowa) and Steve Stockman (R-Texas) both concur having stated that Obama was "playing out of the Cloward-Piven theory" by "attempting to flood the border with illegals."

As Paul Sperry writes in the New York Post, "Obama has an army of agitators -- numbering more than 30,000 -- who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency.  And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House."  Obama's OFA Washington HQ is now the nerve center that coordinates 250 offices nationwide, which together with its Chicago-based sister organization, the Community Organizing Institute (COI), are planning to facilitate the "training [of] more than 2 million youths in Alinsky street tactics" and carry out plans "to stage 400 rallies across 42 states to attack Trump and Republicans over ObamaCare's repeal." This week, London's Daily Mail, reported that "Barack Obama's close confidante Valerie Jarrett has moved into his new DC home, which is now the nerve center for their plan to mastermind the insurgency against President Trump."

Recent funding records are not available, but in just its first two years, OFA took in over $40 million, according to IRS filings. Not surprisingly, OFA's major donors are also members of George Soros's Democracy Alliance, which is a donors' consortium of the left-wing super rich devoted to radical political change. Daniel Greenfield, the award-winning Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, believes "OFA will be far more dangerous in the wild than the Clinton Foundation ever was." Since OFA has all the contact information assets of Obama's predecessor 2008 and 2012 campaign organization, Organizing for America, which include 30 million email addresses, 3 million donors and 2 million active participants there should be no underestimating OFA's potential influence, especially with an uncritical media covering it up.

But in the end, the majority of Americans are not easily fooled.  Their common sense was the key factor in electing Donald Trump, an unconventionally bold leader with the courage to take on corruption in the media and in the Washington establishment.  Trump's victory was in part the result of peeling off many traditional Democrats affiliated with labor in the rust belt states.  But now with Obama's highly irregular operations in the form of shadow government, its reckless executive orders that compromise national security and institutionalize leaks of private citizen and classified information, the Democratic Party is likely in for more attrition. Should it be found that the Obama administration was aware of wiretaps directed against Republican presidential candidate Trump, the Democratic Party will face a crisis that makes Nixon's Watergate pale in comparison.

Although Jimmy Carter is widely viewed as the worst Democratic president,  Obama has singlehandedly done more to damage the Democratic Party in eight years than the GOP could have ever hoped or planned -- an unprecedented staggering net loss of  1,042 state and federal Democratic seats, among  congressional and state legislatures, governorships and the presidency.  Many state level Democratic Party leaders are now in open revolt against Obama's OFA, which they see operating clandestinely without coordination or accountability, and funded from controversial "end of America" extremist sources like George Soros.

Draining the swamp in Washington, D.C. will probably be Trump's greatest challenge. But contrary to the early vocal critics among the establishment elites, aka the "Never Trumpers," it now looks like Donald Trump is providing some long overdue backbone to the Republican Party. In contrast, the Democratic Party appears to be in the midst of death throes.

In Dante's Inferno, the fifth of nine circles of Hell was characterized by an endless battle of angry, wailing souls taking place in a murky swamp. It is the Democratic Party -- which is divided, ideologically rigid and corrupt, lacking in common sense,  and filled with rage and moral superiority toward all that voted against their corrupt candidate -- that is looking more like the endangered species,  thanks in large part to Barack Obama, his Chicago ways, and his Organizing for Action.

Sabotage is all they have left on the Left

The DiploMad blog says like a retreating occupation army, the Democrats and their enablers seek to destroy all before the advancing liberating forces can use it.

Sabotage is all they have left on the Left.

In the wake of Trump's "shock" victory last November, their failure to prevent him from taking office through a variety of loopy legal/political moves, the Democrats, reeling, once again, from the hammer blows of Trump's uplifting and magnificent agenda-setting address to Congress, now openly seek no less than the destruction of the country's ability to govern itself. They offer no alternative vision to compete with Trump's optimistic message of national renewal, so they seek to prevent him from being able to use government in that quest, by denying him, the elected president, the institutions of government.

Sabotage is all they have left on the left.

As I noted some time back (here, here) we are seeing the attempted execution of an American coup d'etat against our own institutions,

This has gotten completely out of control. I never thought I would see our country's politics reduced to the degrading levels of a Banana Republic. Are we destined to become Honduras with rockets?

This is no longer "just politics." This is political jihadism that attempts to make America ungovernable. There is no concern for the potentially dire consequences here or abroad of their actions. All that matters to today's progressives is that they, and they alone, hold all the power in the massive progressive state they have built. Elections, the law, the future of the nation, and even logic be damned.

The latest manifestation of progressive sabotage comes in the assault on AG Sessions. The issue, as far as there is one, is whether Sessions when he met the Russian ambassador before the election discussed the campaign with him. That's it. He has denied discussing the campaign and there is no contradictory evidence to suggest otherwise except the usual "leaks" of alleged "intel" from the progressive controlled bureaucracy, leaks, by the way, which are really more malicious gossip and rumors than anything else. As noted in the always excellent Legal Insurrection, the Progs have hit the rock bottom of chicanery with their suggestion, the slanderous implication that Sessions was recruited by the Russians. As LI notes, the prog media, CNN, in particular, keeps referring to the Russian Ambassador as a "spymaster" and the lead spy recruiter for the Russian Embassy in the USA.

I happen to know something about this sort of thing; I can just about give you a 100% money-back guarantee that of the people in the Russian Embassy charged with recruiting and managing spies, the Ambassador ain't one. The Russians are MUCH, MUCH smarter than that. The Ambassador is a very public figure and would stay away from involvement in that side of the info collection business. The ones to watch, as FBI, MI-5, ASIO, CSIS know, are the bevy of Secretaries and Attaches, and, of course, the famous NOC (no official cover) operatives that the Soviets and Russians have perfected. In addition, of course, as LI points out, Sessions met the Russian while accompanied by at least one senior member of his Senate staff. Is that staffer, too, a recruit of the Russians? This is nonsense.

If the progs' logic were followed, we would have fulfillment of the State Department bureaucracy's long-time dream: Nobody but State Department officials may have contact with foreign diplomats and other officials. No more overseas CODELS or STAFDELS. No more talks to the foreign diplomatic corps. Having had to deal with countless numbers of CODELS and STAFDELS and radical rogue rouge Hill personnel out working against USG interests, I would be fine with that. I have accompanied foreign diplomats to meetings with Senators and Representatives on the Hill; in some meetings I was allowed to sit in, in others the Congressman wanted a private meeting without a State Department rep monitoring and reporting. I guess all that ends? Hmmm . . .

There, of course, is no logic, no thought for precedent or prologue. It is about disrupting the Trump administration, side tracking it, giving it the aura of a scandal-ridden operation. It is of a piece with the violent demonstrations, and the interruptions of Congressional town halls: it is about making America ungovernable.

Sabotage is all they have left on the Left.

The Russian conspiracy theory boils over

Matthew Vadum (FrontPage) is reporting that the so-called scandal involving former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn is 9/11, Pearl Harbor, Iran-Contra, Watergate, proof of presidential fascism, a cynical money-making scheme, and a pro-Russian spy thriller all rolled into one, according to the increasingly deranged rants of howling left-wingers and their truth-adverse confederates in the mainstream media.

Despite this relentless barrage of fake news and smears, President Donald Trump pushed back against the orchestrated campaign against him yesterday at what is sure to go down in history as The Best Presidential Press Conference of All Time as he gave the mainstream media the beat-down it deserves. (See transcript.)

"To give you an idea how Trump's press conference went, afterwards, the press corps demanded a safe space," Ann Coulter tweeted of the 77-minute long White House event, Trump's first solo presser as president. "I wish this press conference could go on all day."

"The public doesn't believe you people anymore," a ferocious, animated Trump told the assembled press corps. "Maybe I had something to do with that. I don't know. But they don't believe you."

"This whole Russia scam that you guys" are pushing on people is "so you don't talk about the real subject which is illegal leaks."

"The public sees it," he said. "They see it. They see it's not fair. You take a look at some of your shows and you see the bias and the hatred. And the public is smart. They understand it."

"I didn't do anything for Russia," he said. "I have done nothing for Russia. Hillary Clinton gave them 20 percent of our uranium. Hillary Clinton did a reset, remember with the stupid plastic button that made us look like a bunch of jerks."

A mewling Chuck Todd of NBC was offended by the president's conduct at the press conference and tweeted, "This [is] not a laughing matter. I'm sorry, delegitimizing the press is un-American[.]"

Perhaps he shouldn't have signed on to the effort to delegitimize President Trump.

Todd, of course, is one the members of the media out to get Trump.

He recently said the invented Flynn-Russia crisis is "arguably the biggest presidential scandal involving a foreign government since Iran-Contra."

Disgraced former anchorman Dan Rather, the poster child for journalistic malfeasance who humiliated himself a decade ago with his proven lies about George W. Bush's military service record, couldn't resist hopping on the bandwagon in order to create the illusion he is relevant.

He gravely pontificated that "Watergate is the biggest political scandal of my lifetime, until maybe now. It was the closest we came to a debilitating Constitutional crisis, until maybe now."

This manufactured mass hysteria directed against Trump, a democratically elected president, in order to drive him from office continues. It feeds on itself. It infects. It multiplies. It smothers.

This un-American mobocracy threatens to snuff out American democracy itself if not contained.

Calls for President Trump's impeachment, removal from office by the Senate or by military coup, and assassination are growing on the Left as it comes to grips with the fact that the Chief Executive is deadly serious about protecting America and rolling back President Obama's poisonous legacy.

No claim or statement is too crazy, lawless, undemocratic, or barbaric for the Left as it desperately tries to keep the borders open to Muslim terrorists, Americans groaning under the chains of Obamacare, businesses buried in red tape, and the welfare state ballooning.

Exhibit "A" from the magical land of fairy dust and unicorns is communist mockumentary director Michael Moore.

In the complete absence of evidence, Moore called Trump a "Russian traitor" and said he should vacate the White House. "We can do this the easy way (you resign), or the hard way (impeachment)." He also called for Trump to be arrested.

Todd, Rather, and Moore are far from alone.

On Fox News Channel, Sean Hannity held up an interview CNN's Wolf Blitzer did with Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) as an example of the media's "abusively biased coverage, this false narrative."

"If members of the administration are essentially conspiring with Russia either through the campaign earlier or now in the administration itself, I mean, look, Wolf, that's the definition of treason," Moulton said. "This is a very, very serious affair."

From his perch at a glossy, content-free fashion magazine, MSNBC reject Keith Olbermann huffed and puffed. "I call for the immediate indictment of Michael Thomas Flynn on charges of and his immediate arrest on suspicion of violation of the Logan Act," he said invoking a long-forgotten statute from 1799 under which no one has ever been convicted. Trump should be named as Flynn's "unindicted co-conspirator," he added.

Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) conspiracy-theorized that Trump is using the Flynn saga to privatize intelligence-gathering and help his friends on Wall Street make money off it. Trump plans to ask Stephen A. Feinberg, a co-founder of Cerberus Capital Management, to conduct "a broad review of American intelligence agencies," the New York Times has reported.

"Now what he's doing is naming another Wall Streeter to go in like a corporate takeover of the intelligence community, clearly with the intent of creating a chilling effect upon these intelligence professionals, who are trying to help America to understand how our security may have been compromised in our relationship with Russia," Markey said.

Riot-cheerleading Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), who claims the Reagan administration flooded the nation's inner cities with crack cocaine, was overjoyed at Flynn's ouster, describing him as "a liar and someone who cannot be trusted."

"I've always believed that there has been collusion between the Trump outfit here, and Russia and the Kremlin. So I believe this is the tip of the iceberg … the strategy and the plot, to defend Russia and to work with Russia, is part of who Trump and his organization is," Waters said.

New York Times columnist and hyperbole junkie Thomas Friedman accused Flynn and Trump of participating in some weird, ill-defined international conspiracy. "After the Russians did not respond harshly to the eviction of their spies and diplomats, Trump actually tweeted out some positive encouragement of this. Did the two of them cook this up all along?"

"And it gets … to two other issues," Friedman continued. "The first is, we have never taken seriously from the very beginning Russia hacked our election. That was a 9/11-scale event. They attacked the core of our very democracy. That was a Pearl Harbor-scale event."

Radical kook Chauncey DeVega, who calls Trump a "fascist authoritarian," hyperventilated at Salon that the president is "a traitor to the United States" and so are all who back him.

Trump's "voters and other supporters who do not denounce him are also traitors, and any Republican officials who continue to back Trump are traitors as well," he wrote, as visions of sending patriotic Americans to die in forced labor camps danced in his head.

PJMedia's Michael Walsh calls what's happening in the country "a rolling coup attempt" and he's right.

Make no mistake about what's happening here: this is a rolling coup attempt, organized by elements of the intelligence community, particularly CIA and NSA, abetted by Obama-era holdovers in the understaffed Justice Department (Sally Yates, take a bow) and the lickspittles of the leftist media, all of whom have signed on with the "Resistance" in order to overturn the results of the November election.

This escalating offensive against Trump kicked up a few notches after Flynn, an arch foe of Islamofascism, was forced out of his critically important advisory role Monday night by what is shaping up to be an East German-style Ben Rhodes-centered deep state cabal.

Flynn, a retired lieutenant general in the U.S. Army, fell on his sword reportedly for allegedly making contact with a Russian envoy. The White House claims Flynn resigned after admitting he lied to Vice President Mike Pence about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak.

It's not as if we know what actually happened with Flynn and the Russian or Russians at this point, or if there was any contact at all. News reports don't quote any on-the-record sources.

And despite the lunatic ravings of NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Bill Kristol, David Frum, Sally Kohn, Joan Walsh, Hollywood celebrities, and many others, there is no credible evidence whatsoever that Trump had anything to do with the hacking of the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee or that Trump colluded with Russia in whatever may or may not have transpired.

Without proof all of this screaming about Flynn and Trump and their supposedly nefarious connections to Vladimir Putin is just noise.

It could be (and likely is) completely made up.

Fiction is, after all, what Ben Rhodes, now identified as a major player in the plot against the president, specialized in when he worked in the Obama White House. Rhodes bragged to the New York Times about duping Americans by creating a media "echo chamber" to promote the botched, unenforceable nuclear nonproliferation agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran that will actually end up helping the mad mullahs who want to kill us all get the bomb. Rhodes became a misinformation-manufacturing servant of a hostile power while betraying his fellow Americans to help an Islam-loving president cozy up to the world's worst state sponsor of terrorism.

But as we keep learning more and more about Rhodes and Obama's post-presidential sabotage apparatus, there was a small victory for common sense as the FBI announced it sees no reason to do anything about the Flynn case because there's nothing there.

The FBI is still investigating the Russian saga but won't pursue charges against Flynn "barring new information that changes what they know," CNN reported last night. Although Flynn stumbled at times during FBI interviews, investigators believe Flynn was "cooperative and provided truthful answers."

And that can't be bad.

"Disrupt J20" scaling back inauguration attacks after O'Keefe's second video

Trey Sanchez (TruthRevolt) is reporting that after damning evidence of radical fringe anti-Trump groups planning to disrupt the inauguration with acid stink bombs was exposed in James O'Keefe's first video, a second video sealed their fate and caused the protesters to scale back their attacks.

Disrupt J20 organizers were once again caught on tape encouraging protesters to shut down the D.C. Metro lines by attaching chains to the trains so that officials need bolt cutters to free them. This was all part of the group launching a series of "clusterf*** blockades" all over town. One leader of Smash Racism D.C. even told supporters that resorting to throat punches against Trump supporters would be "a good thing."

Here's part two:

The FBI has launched an investigation into these undercover videos, and that has put pressure on these radical groups. O'Keefe said there had been reports from his inside sources that they are having to scale back their disruption attempts because of the attention they're getting.

Of course, this is no thanks to the mainstream media. The videos have so far been ignored, even by Fox News. Sean Hannity has been covering it on his radio program, but only sites like TruthRevolt, National Review, and Real Clear Politics are bothering with the story. One Huffington Post writer is said to have congratulated Project Veritas on doing good work, but still, the major networks are mum.

It's also being reported that D.C. officials are stocking workers with bolt cutters in case some go ahead with the plans to stop the trains.

Those organizers exposed in the first video hoping to set off a stink bomb at the Deploraball event had their tickets refunded and received restraining orders and civil charges, all thanks to these videos.

Obama's exhausted ideology

P. H. Guthrie (DailyCaller) says Barack Obama could have been any one of a number of liberal politicians -- nothing about his policies or person differentiates him from standard leftist orthodoxy. For all the talk of change that accompanied the man into office, there was precious little of it, merely a continuation or expansion of big government, with usual attendant incompetence, corruption and unsustainability. Perhaps the only genius of Obama was the shiny new packaging of very old ideas, marketed as cool and hip, but still just as wrong as they ever were.

25 October 2017 will mark the one hundredth anniversary of the beginning of the Communist Revolution in Russia, and one hundred million deaths later, their ideology still plagues mankind. Communism, socialism, liberalism, progressivism -- whatever one wants to call it -- is but a different label given to the same basic denial of human nature and the constraints of reality. Obama is just the latest iteration of man's flawed utopian impulse, a kind of "get rich quick" scheme that degenerates into poverty and totalitarianism.

We are told that the reason Obama was not more successful -- a begrudging admission that he wasn't -- is due to Republican obstructionism, but what really did Republicans stop? ObamaCare was allowed to proceed despite its dishonest marketing, deep unpopularity and stunningly incompetent implementation. The Stimulus Package funded every priority the Left could imagine, and failed to register an uptick in economic growth, despite a $800 billion price tag and the Vice President assuring us that "we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt." With the financial sector meltdown, Obama had every opportunity to "fundamentally transform" it, yet the best he could come up with was to codify "too big to fail" in Dodd-Frank, a guarantee of tax payer money for future bailouts, and a license for further reckless behavior.

The only "victory" the GOP managed to pry out of Obama's hands was the budget sequester that Obama proposed (and later objected to), which cut the growth of domestic and defense spending by a modest amount. Doubtlessly, they are many unfulfilled dreams on the Left's wish list -- gun confiscation, massive cuts in energy use, a $15 minimum wage, forced integration of poor and middle class neighborhoods, etc. -- but even a true believer couldn't make a case that any of these would have reversed the basic economic malaise of the Obama years.

The truth is that Obama, like the rest of the Left at home or around the world, has long ceased to be interested in bettering the condition of mankind, and has become obsessed with power for its own sake, regardless of the damage done, even to those he purports to champion. By rewarding failure and punishing success, the Left has created a poverty-producing engine that delivers misery in the exact proportion to the resources thrown into it. Yet the take-from-the-rich-give-to-the-poor model is the only one their artificially constructed morality will allow them to recognize, because it is the only one that elevates them to a position of supreme authority.

Can there be any serious doubt that had the tens of trillions of dollars spent on welfare since 1965, been allowed to flow through private charities, directed by concerned citizens, that the poor -- to the extent they still existed -- would be incomparably better off? Instead, the most vulnerable in our society have been fed into the grinding maw of the reward-failure/punish-success human shredder, resulting in multi-generational joblessness, the disappearance of fathers, and a whole host of social and criminal pathologies. We're told that the people who designed the system that has produced so much misery are the people who really care -- just one more lie that the Church of Liberalism demands we parrot.

If Obama had really wanted to deliver on his promises, it would've meant confronting the Blue State model of high taxes and high dependency -- the mutual backscratching society paid for with other people's money. It would've meant turning his back on Liberalism, and as a messianic believer in his own indispensability, he was never going to do it. In the end, Obama was just what his resume would've suggested: another machine politician, an interchangeable spare part that served the party, lacking in experience and talent, especially the ability to think for himself if it meant defying the orthodoxies of his statist religion.

Obama's tenure represents nothing, save to prove that a majority of the American people can be persuaded -- from time to time -- to accept the narcotic fantasy promoted by the Left in its will to power, provided their deadly drug comes dressed in pretty new ribbons and bows. The free lunch America was sold turned out to cost us a lost decade of economic growth, a doubling of the national debt, and the deliberate trashing of our healthcare system; perhaps worst of all, we lost time to get our affairs in order before the tsunami of entitlement spending drowns what's left of our vitality, and denies our children their birthright of freedom and opportunity.

The election of Donald Trump provides a narrow window to repair the damage caused by the Obama years, and by the "compassionate  conservatism" of the big-spending Bush years before that. To succeed, he will have to jumpstart the economy, endure whatever the aging business cycle has in store, and address the massive shortfall in projected revenue and expenditures. He will need to reform Social Security and Medicare by placing hard limits on their growth via means-testing millions out of eligibility, a near impossible task made even more difficult by the doctrinaire socialist he replaces.

Clinton scandals disappear as Senate Intel Committee investigates Trump

S. Noble (IndependentSentinel) says it's brilliant manipulation

The Left has managed to get all the attention off Hillary and the Democrats after all the corruption, lying and endless unethical activities. They must have geniuses doing their PR.

The Left has turned DNC-Hillary scandals into an investigation of ties between Trump and Putin though there is evidence for the former, none for the latter.

Anyone remember how Democrats stole the election from Bernie before it began? And held Bernie back illicitly all along the way?

Hillary's corruption, her pay-to-play antics, the lies, the paid rioters, the numerous plots to steal the election, remember? Anyone?

Hillary gave foreign powers access to top secret information, but no one cares about that. She and Huma left their phones on a bed in China, as if the Chinese weren't all over that. No one is talking about that. Huma's pervert husband had top secret information on his computer. It's forgotten.

All we talk about are imaginary ties, unproven connections between Trump, his team and Russia.

Senate Intelligence Begins What the Left Hopes Will Become a Watergate-Style Committee

The Senate Intelligence Committee is going to "force" Trump officials to testify about alleged ties to Russia. It is launching an inquiry into the alleged Russian hacks to influence the US election, during which they plan to interview senior members of the incoming Trump administration, The Independent UK reported.

In a joint statement, committee chairman Republican Sen Richard Burr and vice chairman Democratic Sen Mark Warner said they would examine "counterintelligence concerns related to Russia and the 2016 US election, including intelligence regarding links between Russia and individuals associated with political campaigns.

In the statement released Friday evening, Mr Burr said the committee would subpoena members of the Trump team and the Obama administration "if necessary".

"As part of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence's oversight responsibilities," the statement said, "we believe that it is crucial to have a full understanding of the scope of Russian intelligence activities impacting the United States."

Mr Warner said in a separate statement that the "issue impacts the foundations of our democratic system, it's that important."

The entire purpose of this is to denigrate Trump and trash his administration.

Social media is going wild with this and it's not in favor of Trump.

Trump has to make a lot of dramatic changes in the beginning or his goose is cooked.

Far-left protesters announce plans to shut down the Trump inauguration

Jim Hoft (GatewayPundit) is reporting that far-left protesters announced on Thursday at a press conference that their goal next week is to prevent the peaceful transfer of power.

Protesters from Disrupt J20  have several events organized to disrupt the Trump Inauguration next week.

The group announced several activities next week including protesting the DeploraBall on Thursday night and numerous protests on Inauguration Day.

Via NTK Network:

NTK reported:

#DisruptJ20 organizer Legba Carrefour said Thursday that #DisruptJ20 members were "not in favor of the peaceful transition of power."

The left-wing protest organization, #DisruptJ20, met Thursday to announce its intentions and plans to obstruct the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20. The group's website reads: "We call on all people of good conscience to join in disrupting the ceremonies. If Trump is to be inaugurated at all, let it happen behind closed doors, showing the true face of the security state Trump will preside over."

"We need to stop the peaceful transition of power," Carrefour said at a press conference at St. Stephen's Church in Washington, DC. "We need to stop this kind of fascist government from coming to power."

Black writer lists 25 most racist countries and none are from the West

Black writer and contributor to The Rebel Media Jay Fayza released a video today listing the 25 most racist countries in the world.

None of the top violators are from the West. The only white majority country that made the list was Russia at number 20.

As Jay points out in the video and from the study he is quoting, white people are the most tolerant and accepting.

Hitting Trump before he's sworn in

Matthew Vadum (FrontPage) is reporting that Democrats and left-wing activists are planning to vigorously attack President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees before Trump even takes office at Noon on Jan. 20.

The purpose of this early resistance to the incoming Trump administration is not only to deprive Trump of political legitimacy but also to undermine his authority and make it impossible for him to govern.

All this talk of a vast Russian conspiracy to hack U.S. computer networks to put Trump in the White House is also part of the leftists' scheme. So was Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein's goofy fundraising campaign disguised as recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Commie agitprop director Michael Moore is encouraging angry left-wing mobs to come to Washington, D.C., and riot in the streets of the nation's capital on Inauguration Day in an effort to prevent or at least cast a shadow over Trump's assumption of the powers of the presidency. Moore's idea is to do as much damage as possible to Trump before he even gets sworn in. It worked against George W. Bush.

Feminists are planning a Women's March on Washington for Trump's first full day as president. Organizers hope 200,000 people will show up but that number seems very optimistic.

"We plan to make a bold and clear statement to this country on the national and local level that we will not be silent and we will not let anyone roll back the rights we have fought and struggled to get," said Tamika Mallory of Al Sharpton's National Action Network.

President Obama is part of this too. He is planning to stay behind in Washington after Inauguration Day in order to obstruct Trump's efforts to undo his destructive legacy.

So with just one decisive election that reduced Democrats nationwide to their lowest ebb since at least 1920, the left-wingers who spent the Obama years denouncing Republicans as the "party of no" have suddenly decided being the "party of no" is fine by them.

Sounding much like PLO terrorist leader Yasser Arafat "negotiating" with the State of Israel, the Senate's new minority leader, Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), said Democrats will only work with Trump if he "moves completely in our direction and abandons his Republican colleagues."

"The only way we're going to work with him is if he moves completely in our direction and abandons his Republican colleagues," Schumer told CNN. "Ninety to nine-five percent of the time we'll be holding his feet to the fire and holding him accountable."

He is specifically promising to prevent Trump from appointing a ninth member of the Supreme Court to replace the late conservative justice Antonin Scalia.

"It's hard for me to imagine a nominee that Donald Trump would choose that would get Republican support that we could support," Schumer said on MSNBC. When asked if he'd do his "best to hold the seat open" on the Supreme Court, Schumer answered, "Absolutely."

Democrats have also signed onto a quixotic quest to aggressively oppose eight of Trump's cabinet nominees and stretch their confirmation votes into March, a move he Chicago Tribune called "an unprecedented break with Senate tradition."

According to the newspaper:

Such delays would upend Republican hopes of quickly holding hearings and confirming most of Trump's top picks on Inauguration Day. But Democrats, hamstrung by their minority status, are determined to slow-walk Trump's picks unless they start disclosing reams of personal financial data they've withheld so far, according to senior aides.

Democrats will take aim at: Rex Tillerson (Secretary of State); Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) (Attorney General); Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) (Office of Management and Budget); Betsy DeVos (Secretary of Education); Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) (Secretary of Health and Human Services); Andrew Puzder (Secretary of Labor); Steve Mnuchin (Secretary of the Treasury); and Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt (R) (EPA Administrator).

"President-elect Trump is attempting to fill his rigged cabinet with nominees that would break key campaign promises and have made billions off the industries they'd be tasked with regulating," Schumer said in a statement Sunday. "Any attempt by Republicans to have a series of rushed, truncated hearings before Inauguration Day and before the Congress and public have adequate information on all of them is something Democrats will vehemently resist. If Republicans think they can quickly jam through a whole slate of nominees without a fair hearing process, they're sorely mistaken."

"It's curious that they'd [Democrats] object to treating the incoming president's nominees with the same courtesy and seriousness with which the Senate acted on President Obama's nominees," said Antonia Ferrier, a spokeswoman for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). "Our committees and chairmen are fully capable of reviewing the incoming Cabinet nominations with the same rules and procedures as the same committees did with President Obama's nominations."

Senate confirmation hearings are scheduled to get underway next week. The Judiciary Committee will consider the Sessions nomination and the Foreign Relations Committee will consider the Tillerson nomination.

Politicians in the nation's most populous state are gearing up to wage their own war against Trump.

Democratic lawmakers in California's legislature hired the nearly impeached former Obama lackey Eric Holder as a lawyer to fight the Trump administration on immigration, the environment, and criminal justice issues. Holder's expertise, of course, is in obstructing, as opposed to enforcing laws, which is one of the key causes of his disputes with Congress.

"Having the former attorney general of the United States brings us a lot of firepower in order to prepare to safeguard the values of the people of California," said Kevin de Leon, Democratic leader in the state senate. "This means we are very, very serious."

California Democrats decided to retain Holder because Trump is assembling a cabinet of conservatives. "It was very clear that it wasn't just campaign rhetoric," de Leon said. "He was surrounding himself with people who are a very clear and present danger to the economic prosperity of California."

Gov. Jerry Brown (D) appointed left-winger and former U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra (D) as the state's attorney general to help protect California's lawless so-called sanctuary cities from an expected assault by Trump.

Meanwhile, something called Humanity for Progress has created a star-studded video with Hollywood actors Steve Buscemi, Sally Field, Rosie Perez, and Jeffrey Wright. The group is reportedly an offshoot of another group called Humanity for Hillary.

Variety reports the video urges federal lawmakers to obstruct Trump if he pursues "racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, anti-union, anti-environmental" policies.

"The majority of Americans, regardless of who they voted for, did not vote for racism, for sexism, or for xenophobia. And yet Donald Trump won," the script reads.

"We know the majority of the American people, regardless of who they voted for, do not want a regime that permits hate and monied interests to run rampant," said a spokesman for the group.

The public service announcement especially grates on the nerves. It's filled with brooding, unsympathetic left-wing elitist scolds like MSNBC airhead Toure and real estate gazillionaire Bruce Ratner whose vile late brother Michael, a communist-lover who wrote a pro-Che Guevara book and headed the subversive Greenwich Village-based public interest law firm Center for Constitutional Rights. It also features leftist organizers such as Ai-jen Poo of the National Domestic Workers Alliance.

The PSA comes in the wake of the push last month by a group called Unite for America to get presidential electors to go rogue to deprive Trump of an Electoral College majority. Useful idiot actors Martin Sheen, Debra Messing, and a slew of other B-list and C-list celebrities urged GOP electors to be "American heroes" and vote someone other than Trump in order to throw the election to the House of Representatives. It didn't work. More Hillary Clinton electors defected than Trump electors.

On Wednesday night, MoveOn sent out a mass email to members from Benard Simelton, the Alabama State Conference president of the NAACP. In it Simelton brags about being "arrested last night while taking part in a nonviolent sit-in at Senator Jeff Sessions' Mobile office in Alabama to oppose his nomination for attorney general."

Radicals love getting arrested. Saul Alinsky viewed a stay in the hoosegow as a gateway to personal growth and as a means of building street cred as a political activist. "[A] periodic removal from circulation by being jailed is an essential element in the development of the revolutionary," he wrote.

Urging members to sign a petition, Simelton opines that Trump "is wholly unqualified to be the nation's top law enforcement official, as demonstrated by his long and troubling record in opposition to civil and human rights."

It's a bogus racism charge but Sessions is an easy target. He's white and a Southerner and that fits the Left's narrative so Simelton and his kind are trying to lynch him.

We're going to be hearing this kind of leftist lying a lot in the coming four years.

Trump's victory represents total collapse of the Left for years to come

Aleister (GatewayPundit) is reporting that Zombie" of the Zomblog has written a great essay which analyzes Trump's win and the long term effect it will have on the left. He suggests that the left's indoctrination strategy totally failed and that Trump has set them beck for a generation.

Here are some excerpts:

Trump's Victory Is a Pivotal Turning Point in Human History

Donald Trump's victory in November was not only the most important election result of our lifetimes, but ranks as one of the most significant events in recorded history, on par with the French Revolution or the fall of the Berlin Wall. And I'll tell you why.

Western society is super-saturated with leftist propaganda. Politically astute non-leftists see it everywhere and complain about it incessantly -- because it is ubiquitous. In fact, most of our waking hours are spent noticing, commenting upon, getting outraged by and then futilely combatting the endless, relentless leftist slant to everything in modern culture.

Every news broadcast. Every movie. Every lesson in every classroom. Every social signifier in public. Every poll. Every TV show. Every tribal shibboleth. In ways large and small, overt and covert, subtle and blatant, the society around us is infused with progressive ideals and agendas, whether you realize it or not…

The entire purpose of 60 years of slanted media and slanted news and slanted education and social pressure and brainwashing and deception and indoctrination -- all of it, everything we complain about every day, all day, for years and years and years -- the purpose of all this is to get people to vote for the most left-wing candidate in each presidential election. The goal is to bring about a self-imposed silent revolution in America, a democratically elected socialist government voted in by low-information rubes unaware of what they're doing.

And it has looked ever since Obama's ascendancy in 2008 that this long-term strategy had reached a tipping point of success from which there was no return -- no conservative could ever win another presidential election…

And then November 8, 2016 happened, and BOOM: It was all revealed to be a lie. Not only did the indoctrination fail, but the general impression that the relentless indoctrination had always been successful was itself a gigantic meta-deception.

Read the whole thing.

Hat tip to Professor William Jacobson of Legal Insurrection who adds this:

Certainly, Trump's victory was a huge blow to the hardcore, anti-Western, anti-American (and usually anti-Israel) leftist agenda.

What Trump does with the win will be the difference. The institutionalized Left is not going to go away so quickly, particularly in academia, which serves to mainstream the most insane theories of social justice. I've seen how fringe ideas on gender, white privilege, the patriarchy, and so on, within less than a generation become the norm. The craziest ideas that were laughed at as the ranting of lunatics get taught to college students who then become social justice warriors screaming in the faces of anyone who disagrees.

The 10 keys to restoring civility

Laura Hollis (WND) says we have just come off of the most acrimonious presidential election in modern memory. There are many distinctive aspects to the 2016 election: the first woman candidate for a major party; a shocking (to many) upset; a victory by a complete outsider to politics.

Even the level of divisiveness demonstrated by the political Left is unique. Americans have always had strong opinions about politics, but the level of hostility by the Left toward those with different viewpoints has reached the point of absurdity. The news since the election has been filled with hysterical reactions to Hillary's loss, articles about handling political discussions with family during the holidays -- even a new survey about how Democratic women are the most likely to unfriend someone over political differences.

The Left's drama and vitriol may be entertaining to some, but plenty of us are distressed by it and have mused about how to return to civility. As Christmas approaches, here's a bit of middle-age wisdom in the form of a few modest suggestions.

If we truly want to restore civility, the key lies not in what the Left needs to do, but in what the Left needs to stop doing.

  1. For starters, we need to stop playing the Zoltan-the-Magnificent mind-reading game. In other words, it's time we stop discussing public policy in terms of intentions, and not results. Yes, we get it -- you want to end poverty, homelessness, illiteracy and any number of other social ills. The issue isn't whether you want it; the issue is whether the policies you're advocating will achieve it. As inconvenient a fact as this may be, your political opponents also want to make life better for people. Stop deflecting discussions about policy failures by claiming that every objection to your preferred policy is based upon hatred; it isn't. Pretending that you read minds also feeds the beast that is overweening moral superiority and self-righteous indignation. See No. 2, below.
  2. Stop assuming that you always hold the moral high ground. This is the most insidious aspect of the Left's political discourse: "Anyone who disagrees with me is not merely wrong, (s)he's evil." Once that becomes the prevailing narrative (and it has), your neighbors and fellow citizens become the enemy, and their viewpoints merit not consideration, but contempt. The proof is everywhere in social and other media, which have been filled for weeks with left-leaners' pronouncements about the nearly 63 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump: racists, sexists, bigots, haters, evil, stupid, bad people. That is not only false, it is dangerous. When fellow citizens feel this way, it poisons the culture. When those in power hold these views, it results in corruption and active discrimination. (See, e.g., the IRS, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Wisconsin's heinous "John Doe" raids.)
  3. Stop calling people names.
  4. Stop the "collective blame" shtick, and return to individual responsibility. Few things upset people as much as being blamed for the wrongdoings of others.
  5. Stop rioting when things don't go your way. It's infantile, uncivilized, and it hurts innocent people whose businesses and property you've damaged or destroyed.
  6. Civility isn't limited to politics. To our entertainers: Stop trying to shock people. Put your clothes back on. No, the nipple doesn't need to be "freed," and neither do the rest of your private parts. Furthermore, if your "talent" consists of simulating sex on stage, it would appear you don't have much to begin with. If you do have other talents, let's see them. And to the industry generally: For heaven's sake, stop celebrating garbage by putting it on national television, and advertising it as an "awards show." We're not fooled.
  7. Stop trying to "out" people whose views you don't like. Whether it's Memories Pizza or Sweet Cakes by Melissa, it's antithetical to civility. We've seen how this degenerates. What BuzzFeed tried to do to Chip and Joanna Gaines two weeks ago was despicable. A significant part of civility is the understanding that people are different. There are over 300 million people in this country; they're not all going to think like you do, and it's not your job to "purify" their views. Get over it.
  8. Social media notwithstanding, reconsider your impulse to share your opinions about others with the world, especially when you choose to express it with expletives. In fact, one could say more generally …
  9. Don't be vulgar; vulgarity is a type of pollution. Worried about your carbon footprint? Try thinking about your verbal footprint. Clean up your language. And finally, we could change the culture overnight if we would simply …
  10. Assume the best about people. In most cases, we won't be disappointed.

So there you are. You might disagree with some of them. Or all of them. And that's fine -- have at it. Just be civil about it. Merry Christmas.

Guess who says that Donald Trump "has no right to enter" the White House?

Onan Coca ( is reporting that liberal icon and all-around bad guy Michael Moore recently appeared on MSNBC with Chris Hayes to talk about what Moore believes the American people should be doing over the next few days, weeks, and months. In a word -- he wants them protesting the just held, legally conducted, and cleanly won (by Donald Trump) election. Moore's coup de grâce? This gem of a line, where he argues that the American people should act lawlessly to protest Trump's lawful election.

When asked what Americans should be doing, Moore says…

Protesting, obstructing, disrupting, civil disobedience. I mean, the man has no right to enter that house.

Moore's always been out in left field, but with this latest diatribe he has walked out of the stadium, gotten on the train and is well on his way to the suburbs. I mean, this is crazy. Even if the Russians played a role in the leaks of the DNC and Clinton campaign emails, it's not like they invented the information those emails contained! Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, and all of the Democrat operatives who were embarrassed by the emails that they wrote actually wrote the emails! The Americans who voted against them for these things were right to do so, even if the Russians played a part in getting the information out there.

It's unconscionable to think that Democrats are actually arguing that the election is illegitimate because the American people learned truths that they weren't supposed to know. Yes, the Democrat Party has reached a new, disgusting low, and Michael Moore is the embodiment (and perfect image) of that nadir.

Listen, we are hours away now from the Electoral College coming together on Monday. This needs protest, this needs people's voices. You can go to Vigils For America, I think it's dot org, and they have a list of all the state protests at the state capitols this weekend and on Monday.

People need to have their voice heard. Don't say to yourself, oh, what's the use? How do we -- nothings going to happen. You don't know that. You don't know that. That's why we have to keep fighting. We have to fight all the way to inauguration day and then be ready for them to start the day after the inauguration passing law after law after law…
Protesting, obstructing, disrupting, civil disobedience. I mean, the man has no right to enter that house. There are too many questions about whatever collusion was going on. I mean, they admitted that they were in touch with the Russians during the campaign. They have said that… So we would need to know as Americans what the hell was going on there and he does not have a mandate. He does not have a mandate. And that just needs to be said over and over and over again. And the media, for God's sake, please do your job

This video is a little long, but it's fun to watch these leftists in absolute agony. It's amazing that this discussion occurred on an alleged "news" channel.

Making the USA ungovernable

S. Noble (IndependentSentinel) says there is a pattern coming out of the Left's hysterical reaction to Mrs. Clinton's loss. They want us to believe America is ungovernable. They've said it before but there is a more troublesome goal fostered by the far-left which has taken over the Democrat Party.

Towards the end of the failed Carter presidency, the public was told that the office of the presidency had become unmanageable and it was too big for one man. We heard that again with Barack Obama.

When his first term agenda of ObamaCare and Cap & Trade were in tatters by 2010, Newsweek titled an article, "Is America Ungovernable." Of course it must be and they concluded it was.

"Don't blame Mr. Obama," Paul Krugman wrote of Obama's failures in 2010. "Blame our political culture instead. . . . And blame the filibuster, under which 41 senators can make the country ungovernable."

Obama himself said the job might be too big for one man.

Hillary has now failed. The Left wants us to believe one thing, if nothing else, and that is that she didn't fail, the Russians hacked her emails because the country is at the mercy of foreign enemies. It wasn't the content of the emails that was to blame, it was Putin who was to blame. It wasn't that she was a terrible candidate.

The truth is that the country is not ungovernable, Other presidents have governed successfully.

The problem is that there was a failure in leadership. We now see the Left building on the theme by actually making the country ungovernable.

The leftists hope to discredit the results of last month's presidential election by "proving" -- with the media's help-  that not only did Russia hack Clinton's emails, Putin was personally involved. They even have the politicized intelligence agencies weighing in.

There will be no conclusive results from any investigation. It's been investigated. The FBI has already said they saw no evidence that Russia hacking was aimed specifically at assisting Donald Trump's candidacy, something the Director of National Intelligence agrees with.

Even so, Barack Obama decided to make this a top priority and he wants a report on his desk before he leaves office. Eric Schultz, his deputy press secretary, said he will publicize the results.

Friday afternoon, Schultz said, "We're going to make public as much as we can. As you can imagine, something like this might include sensitive and even classified information. When that report is submitted, we're going to take a look. We want to brief Congress and the relevant stakeholders, possibly state directors."

The only good reason for releasing the results of an inconclusive investigation is to delegitimize the election results and damage the Trump administration. It will certainly keep Democrats from ever accepting Trump as president.

This began as Jill Stein started her absurd recount which could only benefit the meme that Trump's victory is illegitimate. The shadow of doubt was cast.

At the same time, the Democrats are ginning up Democrat electors and one Republican Never Trumper elector to demand the intel results. The Never Trumper uses the Van Jones PR firm, the same one that Obama and Black Lives Matter has used.

This has become the leftist agenda. As the leftist policies fail, they must make alternatives offered by opponents fail. It's what they do. There is no longer any debate, only resistance, conspiracy theories, and hysteria.

They engage in the politics of personal and social destruction to make the country ungovernable. If they can't govern, no one will.

The Democrats' rallying cry -- if first you don't succeed, lie and plot

Ray Starmann (USDefenseWatch) says they just can't let it go, can they?

Since Trump's brilliant victory over the Duchess of Chappaqua, the Left in America has been having one serious meltdown that would be hilarious, if the people running the Democratic Party and the globalists backing them weren't a threat to freedom and the pursuit of happiness.

The Democrats are a dangerous hybrid in 2016. They are filled with the hippie hubris they've possessed since 1968, the actual turning point for the party, when they took off their blue collar overalls and put on Ho Chi Minh sandals.

Combined with the dangerous Marxist tenets they worship, they are now backed by globalist billionaires like Soros who want nothing less than to turn America into Merkel's Germany with a smidgen of the USSR for flavor.

The gluten free libs that make up the Democratic Party simply can't grasp the fact that Trump won and their candidate lost. After all, these are the people who created the Frankenstein monster called Generation Snowflake where everyone gets a trophy, even if they do suck.

And, your candidate, Hillary Clinton definitely sucked.

The Left's immediate reaction was to hit the streets of America's liberal run cities, with an assortment of college cupcakes in distress, #BlackLivesMatter communists and Jerry Rubin wannabes.

Some of the protesters were peaceful, many weren't. Police cars were turned into Molotov Cocktails on wheels. Trump supporters on the way to Applebee's who took a wrong turn were often violently assaulted.

But, that was all okay to the liberal media because Hillary had lost and they were upset.

The protests burned out like a piece of smoldering incense. Soros stopped writing checks to #BlackLivesMatter and began making million dollar deposits into Jill Stein's bank account.

Stein then commenced her Recount to Nowhere, claiming she was seeking honesty in the voting system or any other number of platitudes she spit out for a couple weeks, while racking up a seven figure tally of donations. It didn't matter that normally recounts are conducted when there is a vote margin less than a 1000. In Stein's, actually Soros' mind, it didn't matter if the vote margins were in the tens of thousands favoring Mr. Trump. The recount had to proceed! The Recount to Nowhere has predictably led nowhere, as Trump gained votes in Wisconsin, while she has been shut down in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Hillary was in on it from the beginning. Holed up in her secret medical clinic in Chelsea's Manhattan apartment like Mr. Dragon in the Eiger Sanction, she directed Jill Stein's every move, while dispatching her lawyers to the scenes of the imaginary crimes in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

As the recount began to fizzle out, the Democrats' next gambit was calling all news from the alternative media, and in actuality, all news they disagree with, so-called "fake news."

The globalists rolled out their starting lineup of talking heads to condemn fake news: Jake Tapper, Van Jones and their team of liars at CNN, Rachel Maddow, aka Chris Hayes, Hillary, Bill Clinton, Obama, Angela Merkel and even Pope Francis jumped on the "it's all fake news" bandwagon.

Besides trying to smear Trump, there is a much more sinister ploy at work here. The globalists want to shut down the alternative media, which is primarily conservative. The Democrats in 2016 don't want to debate, they want to end debate.

As the fake news hysteria continues, the Left has been threatening electors across the country, who have received tens of thousands of emails, Twitter and Facebook messages instructing them to cast their electoral votes for the wicked witch or else they will find themselves bankrupt, beaten or dead.

This week, it's apparently all the Russians fault. Through hacking and even more hacking they gave information to Wikileaks that influenced the election. Of course the Democrats are forgetting one thing; if they hadn't committed vote fraud and embezzlement, if the Clinton Foundation wasn't a pay to play scheme, if Hillary wasn't a national security nightmare, Wikileaks would have had nothing to release.

But it's all Trump's fault. He's a Russian agent! He and Putin schemed to sabotage the election. They did it all!

It wasn't frustrated blue collar voters who are earning the same wage they did in 1988 that did it. It wasn't Hillary's litany of felonies for the last 40 years that did it. It wasn't the fact that Haight Ashbury values were being shoved down our throats that did it.

Apparently, the CIA came up with the Russian hacking story. If this is accurate intelligence, let the Director of the CIA hold a press conference and explain to the world as much as he can about this so called hacking.

But, he won't do that will he? It's almost like they made the whole thing up.

Meanwhile, John #Pizzagate Podesta, a man who enjoys spirit cooking and collecting pictures of naked children, a man who bears more than a striking resemblance to one of the suspects wanted in the kidnapping of Madeleine McCann, said the electors should be briefed on the Russian hacking.

Perhaps the electors should be briefed on what the FBI and the NYPD know about Mr. Podesta's ties to child trafficking.

The majority of the people in the CIA are good patriotic folks just doing their jobs. Some of them are risking their lives overseas right now, but, there has always has been a small clique of establishment, globalist maniacs in that organization who think they own the country. You know these people. They're the ones that murdered John F. Kennedy.

Hopefully, "the Russians are Coming" nonsense will burn itself out like the other schemes.

When all else fails, the Democrats will no doubt launch some kind of Animal House type sabotage of Trump's inauguration day parade. In fact, that 350 pound piece of rancid Tri Tip, Michael Moore, stated that very thing only last week.

Frankly, the nation is sick and tired of not only the Democrats, but the globalists and their refusal to accept Mr. Trump's victory.

What part of "you lost" isn't registering in your warped, pot smoke filled craniums?

You seem to want to pick a fight with the Right. We've done everything possible to avoid a confrontation with you. We're focused on making America great again and bettering our lives. You're focused on regaining power by hook or crook so you can turn this nation into Sweden on Steroids. You seem to be willing to do anything to achieve your goals, even if it means provoking the Right into violence.

Is that really what you lefties, trendies and yogis want?

You might want to step away from the steam table at Whole Foods and ponder that thought for a moment. If you haven't noticed yet, we are composed of nearly all the hunters, veterans, law enforcement and military personnel in the nation. We are armed and you aren't. We understand a myriad of weapons and tactics and know how to employ them with lethal efficiency.

Keep on pushing and you will find yourselves losers in the shortest civil war in world history.

We beat the living daylights out of you in the election. We will be happy to do it again, any time, any place.

But, let's hope it never comes to that. Like I said, we have better things to do, like go to work every day.

You might want to ponder those thoughts over your Winter Solstice Break, or as we will be saying in America for a long, long time, Christmas.
