In Trump era, the mean streak of celebrities is out of control

Julienne Davis (HeatStreeet) says if you want to understand what is wrong with the American Left these days, watch Chelsea Handler rant on her Netflix show.

The progessive comic's latest painfully unfunny monologue was a full four minute rant ripping into Ivanka Trump, the President and even her own father, while neglecting to make a single coherent political point.

Like so many others -- left-leaning mainstream media pundits, newscasters, celebrities and comedians -- Handler uses vile language, puerile toilet humor, crass incest innuendo and utter disrespect not only toward the President and his daughter, but toward her own family.  Yet her "edginess" is more desperate than most celebrity 'Resistance' liberals.

This type of insulting language by progressives is so strikingly common nowadays that it no longer has any shock value. Once you strip away the facile attempt to be cool, edgy or hip by using insults and four-letter words all you're actually left with is an angry woman being crass, crude and downright disgusting.

Let's not pretend that sneering diatribes by Handler and her ilk are anything new. Progressivism has dominated the media and driven popular culture ever since the 1960s. But the abuse has increased in its shrillness and shocking tone since Donald Trump became President

What may have begun as questioning the status quo and the establishment has now descended into an all-out assault on civility, decency and morality. Anyone with a conservative viewpoint is considered a deserving target of the Left's attack dogs.

Liberal celebrities now vent fury with smug, self-righteous glee on national TV, on newer venues like Netflix and Amazon, and in the old print media. In place of sophisticated political satire or any attempt at arguing ideas in an informed manner, the cultural apparatchiks of the media/entertainment complex have instead adopted the put-down tactics of 14 year old bullies.

They use lame insults and f-bombs to both amuse their fan base and to shut down any attempt at rational debate.

Some examples:

  • Actress Patti LuPone recently said on live TV  on the Tony Awards red carpet that Trump shouldn't see her show: "Well I hope he doesn't, because I won't perform if he does…Because I hate the motherf -- er. How's that?"
  • CBS talk show host Stephen Colbert: "The only thing [Trump's] mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c*ck holster."
  • HBO's Bill Maher speaking to Gabriel Sherman of New York magazine, used suggestive hand gestures to insinuate that Ivanka performs sex acts on her father.
  • CNN's Anderson Cooper to Jeff Lord: "If [Trump] took a dump on your desk, you would defend him."
  • Director Joss Whedon: "I want a rhino to f*ck [Paul] Ryan to death with its horn because it's funny."

When in 2008 Sandra Bernhard expressed hope that Sarah Palin was "gang raped in NYC by my black brothers." The Washington Post called it -- the left's favorite word -- "edgy"! Now such sentiments are increasing in number and frequency.

It's not as if these celebrity interventions are effective.  Doomed Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff enjoyed support from Samuel L. Jackson, Jane Fonda, George Takei and, of course, Handler. He still lost the Georgia House race. Ossoff even pathetically confessed to MSNBC' s Nicole Wallace: "Celebrities across the country? That's not what animates people in Georgia. "

Furthermore, these guilt-ridden pop-cultural progressive influencers of Western culture obscure the fact that they are part of an obscenely wealthy elite by directing envy and class rage away from themselves and onto anyone seen as promoting conservative values or beliefs.

Those who are untouched by the average person's reality preach to their audience that walls are wrong, before driving home to their gated communities or guarded mansions. Yet they believe that crass comments and personal insults make them "down with the people".

Perhaps they're hoping that if there is a real revolution, the starving masses will burn down their Beverly Hills and Hamptons homes last!

I keep hoping their followers will grow up and see the light; that Handler and Colbert and the others will check their own moral compass, mislaid by all that vile abuse, before prioritizing helping the poor, fighting injustice and making the world a better place.

But it seems that sneering cruel sarcastic variants of President Obama's 2008 comment that midwest voters "cling to guns or religion" are now the default setting in the battle of ideas.

I'm not sure how we as a society deal with this kind of visceral hatred. But with every Handler rant and every Colbert crudity another brick drops from the wall that holds the center together. When that wall collapses no amount of sneering opinion pieces, foul-mouthed rants or abusive put-downs will be able to fix things.

The final irony is that the mega-rich wanna-be revolutionaries of the cultural-media class love to preach the virtues of positive discrimination but they might soon find out societal chaos is an equal opportunity destroyer of peoples lives.

Anger privilege

Daniel Greenfield (FrontPage) says if you want to know who has privilege in a society and who doesn't, follow the anger.

There are people in this country who can safely express their anger. And those who can't. If you're angry that Trump won, your anger is socially acceptable. If you were angry that Obama won, it wasn't.

James Hodgkinson's rage was socially acceptable. It continued to be socially acceptable until he crossed the line into murder, and he's not alone. There's Micah Xavier Johnson, the Black Lives Matter cop-killer in Dallas, and Gavin Long, the Black Lives Matter cop-killer in Baton Rouge. If you're a leftist and angry about the police, your anger is celebrated. If you're conservative and angry about the Terror travel ban, the Paris Climate treaty, ObamaCare repeal or any leftist cause, you're on the side of the angry angels.

But if you're a conservative that's angry that your job is going to China or that you just missed being killed in a Muslim suicide bombing, your anger is unacceptable.

If you're an angry leftist, your party leader, Tom Perez will scream and curse into a microphone, and your aspiring presidential candidate, Kirsten Gillibrand, will curse along, to channel the anger of the base. But if you're an angry conservative, then Trump channeling your anger is "dangerous" because you aren't allowed to be angry.

Not all anger is created equal. Some anger is privileged rage.

Good anger gets you a gig as a CNN commentator. Bad anger gets you hounded out of your job. Good anger isn't described as anger at all. Instead it's linguistically whitewashed as "passionate" or "courageous". Bad anger however is "worrying" or "dangerous". Angry left-wing protesters "call out", angry right-wing protesters "threaten". Good anger is left-wing. Bad anger is right-wing.

Socially acceptable displays of anger, from Occupy Wall Street to Black Lives Matter riots to the anti-Trump marches to the furious campus protests, are invariably left-wing.

Left-wing anger over the elections of Bush and Trump was sanctified. Right-wing outrage over Obama's victory was demonized. Now that left-wing anger led a Bernie Sanders volunteer to open fire at a Republican charity baseball practice outing. And the media reluctantly concedes that maybe both sides should moderate their rhetoric. Before listing examples that lean to the right like "Lock her up".

Why were chants of "Lock her up" immoderate, but not Bush era cries of "Jail to the chief"? Why were TEA Party rallies "ominous" but the latest "We Hate Trump" march is "courageous"? Why is killing Trump on stage the hottest thing to hit Shakespeare while a rodeo clown who wore an Obama mask was hounded by everyone from the Lieutenant Governor of Missouri to the NAACP?

Not all anger is created equal. Anger, like everything else, is ideologically coded. Left-wing anger is good because its ideological foundations are good. Right-wing anger is bad because its ideology is bad.

It's not the level of anger, its intensity or its threatening nature that makes it good or bad.

And that is why the Left so easily slips into violence. All its ideological ends are good. Therefore its means, from mass starvation to gulags to riots and tyranny, must be good. If I slash your tires because of your Obama bumper sticker", I'm a monster. But if you key my car because of my Trump bumper sticker, you're fighting racism and fascism. Your tactics might be in error, but your viewpoint isn't.

There are no universal standards of behavior. Civility, like everything else, is ideologically limited.

Intersectionality frowns on expecting civil behavior from "oppressed" protesters. Asking that shrieking campus crybully not to scream threats in your face is "tone policing". A millionaire's child at Yale is fighting for her "existence," unlike the Pennsylvania coal miner, the Baltimore police officer and the Christian florist whose existences really are threatened.

Tone policing is how the anger of privileged leftists is protected while the frustration of their victims is suppressed. The existence of tone policing as a specific term to protect displays of left-wing anger shows the collapse of civility into anger privilege. Civility has been replaced by a political entitlement to anger.

The Left prides itself on an unearned moral superiority ("When they go low, we go high") reinforced by its own echo chamber even as it has become incapable of controlling its angry outbursts. The national tantrum after Trump's victory has all but shut down the government, turned every media outlet into a non-stop feed of conspiracy theories and set off protests that quickly escalated into street violence.

But Trump Derangement Syndrome is a symptom of a problem with the Left that existed before he was born. The Left is an angry movement. It is animated by an outraged self-righteousness whose moral superiority doubles as dehumanization. And its machinery of culture glamorizes its anger. The media dresses up the seething rage so that the Left never has to look at its inner Hodgkinson in the mirror.

The Left is as angry as ever. Campus riots and assassinations of Republican politicians are nothing new. What is changing is that its opponents are beginning to match its anger.  The Left still clings to the same anger it had when it was a theoretical movement with plans, but little impact on the country. The outrage at the Left is no longer ideological. There are millions of people whose health care was destroyed by ObamaCare, whose First Amendment rights were taken away, whose land was seized, whose children were turned against them and whose livelihoods were destroyed.

The angry left has gained a great deal of power. It has used that power to wreck lives. It is feverishly plotting to deprive nearly 63 million Americans of their vote by using its entrenched power in the government, the media and the non-profit sector. And it is too blinded by its own anger over the results of the election to realize the anger over its wholesale abuses of power and privileged tantrums.

But monopolies on anger only work in totalitarian states. In a free society, both sides are expected to control their anger and find terms on which to debate and settle issues. The Left rejects civility and refuses to control its anger. The only settlement it will accept is absolute power. If an election doesn't go its way, it will overturn the results. If someone offends it, he must be punished. Or there will be anger.

The angry left demands that everyone recognize the absolute righteousness of its anger as the basis for its power. This anger privilege, like tone policing, is often cast in terms of oppressed groups. But its anger isn't in defiance of oppression, but in pursuit of oppression.

Anger privilege is used to silence opposition, to enforce illegal policies and to seize power. But the left's monopolies on anger are cultural, not political. The entertainment industry and the media can enforce anger privilege norms through public shaming, but their smears can't stop the consequences of the collapse of civility in public life. There are no monopolies on emotion.

When anger becomes the basis for political power, then it won't stop with Howard Dean or Bernie Sanders. That's what the Left found out in the last election. Its phony pearl clutching was a reaction to the consequences of its destruction of civility. Its reaction to that show of anger by conservatives and independents was to escalate the conflict. Instead of being the opposition, the Left became the "resistance". Trump was simultaneously Hitler and a traitor. Republicans were evil beasts.

James Hodgkinson absorbed all this. The Left fed his anger. And eventually he snapped.

Anger has to go somewhere.

The Left likes to think that its anger is good anger because it's angry over the plight of illegal aliens, Muslim terrorists, transgender bathrooms, the lack of abortion in South Carolina, the minimum wage at Taco Bell, budget cuts, tax cuts, police arrests, drone strikes and all the other ways in which reality differs from its utopia. But all that anger isn't the road to a better world, but to hate and violence.

Millions of leftists, just like Hodgkinson, are told every day that Republicans are responsible for everything wrong with their lives, the country and the planet. Despite everything they do, all the petitions they sign, the marches they attend, the donations, the angry letters, the social media rants, Republicans continue to exist and even be elected to public office. Where does that anger go?

Either we have a political system based on existing laws and norms of civility. Or we have one based on coups and populist leftist anger. And there are already a whole bunch of those south of the border.

Leftist anger is a privileged bubble of entitlement that bursts every other election. Its choice is to try to understand the rest of the country or to intimidate, censor, oppress and eventually kill them.

James Hodgkinson took the latter course. His personal leftist revolution ended, as all leftist revolutions do, in blood and violence. The Left can check its anger privilege and examine its entitlement.

Or his violence will be our future.

The Left won't acknowledge "climate of violence" they helped create

Stuart Varney reamed out Democrats and the Left for offering "not a word of remorse for the climate of violence they did so much to create."

"There is a link between the climate of violence and the violent attack on Republicans," Varney charged, referring to a Bernie Sanders supporter's shooting spree Wednesday that wounded five including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise.

"It is a link the Left should acknowledge, but they will not," Varney continued.

The host cited violent demonstrations by left-wing students at UC Berkeley, which completely broke down civil discourse. He also mentioned comedian Kathy Griffin's shock photo shoot of her holding a severed Trump head, which earned her the disgust of all sides of the political debate. Varney also reminded viewers of the vulgarity popping out of the mouths of prominent Democrats since the election, including Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez.

Instead, Varney said, Democrats push impeachment and the media has returned to "pejorative leaks" implying President Trump obstructed justice.

Stuart, it's what they do.

Protesters interrupt last night's Trump assassination play

The "Shakespeare in the Park" rendition of "Julius Caesar," depicting the assassination of President Donald Trump, is still scheduled to play this weekend in New York's Central Park.

Last night's performance did not go as planned.

Laura Loomer from Rebel Media attended the performance and ruined the liberal fun.

Laura rushed the stage shouting, "stop leftist violence!!"

This went on for over half a minute.

Loomer was arrested for trespassing and subsequently released shortly thereafter.

Let's hope this display encourages others to shut this play down.

A cautionary tale -- the rise of the Democratic Party's violent Left

S. Noble (IndependentSentinel) says the rise of the hard-left in the United States is eerily similar to the rise of communism in Venezuela. It should serve as a cautionary tale.

The Democratic Party "protesters" are often violent and they are often riots. However, the media covers for them and has in only rare cases admitted they are violent. They are quick to blame any counter protester for the violence.

It's not surprising that we had a near-massacre yesterday, it's only surprising it hasn't happened sooner.

Like a craven coward, ducking, dodging, heavily armed, James T. Hodgkinson hoped to commit mass murder on Wednesday, attacking Republicans playing baseball on an open field.

The Bernie Sanders supporter and unionist was a member of several Facebook groups: "The Road to Hell is Paved with Republicans," "Donald Trump is not my President" and "Terminate the Republican Party."

His Facebook page read like the talking points of a CNN panel discussion.

He had an arrest record in St. Clair County that included such offenses as damaging a motor vehicle, resisting a peace officer, eluding police, criminal damage to property and driving under the influence, according to the News-Democrat.

He pulled out some of his daughter's hair. He was possibly mad though his friends said he wasn't. One thing is undeniable, he is not much different from an Antifa or a Black Lives Matter protester who call for the death of police. He's different only in degree.

The violent Left, once spread out in extremist groups, have joined forces. They are the same people who show up at Republican's townhalls, who are sometimes violent, and always disrespectful.

Never forget the support Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton gave to the violent rioters in Ferguson, Baltimore and elsewhere.

The vitriol and silent consent to violence by Democrats will lead to the blood and death on the streets that Loretta Lynch called for. There are innumerable examples of the rise of Fascism and violence in the U.S. We included one from the San Jose attacks on Trump supporters. The mayor told the police they could not intervene as the Leftist mobs attacked the peaceful Trump protesters.

The violence in the colleges and their refusal to allow free speech is alarming. It is Fascism.

The hard-Left has hijacked the Democratic Party.

The party's hate being spewed in the media day and night has morphed into open violence. The Democrats pay lip service to rejection of violence but have given full support to the Black Lives Matter, Antifa and other radical left groups.

When the Revolutionary Communist Party or domestic terrorist Bill Ayers show up at violent protests, the media is deaf, dumb and blind.

The Sacramento Bee has a story up by an apologist for the violent Democrats. Even he is concerned about the "emergence" of the hard-left. He acts as if it's only and always been radical Islamists and the right we have had to be concerned about. That's absurd. The hard-left has always been the violent arm of the Democratic Party and they haven't suddenly emerged.

They've been around since the 1960s, they are prominent in domestic terrorism, on docks with violent union workers, and on May Day marches. They re-emerged under Barack Obama.

Listen to a typical Hollywood leftist but it is vulgar. Patti LuPone says she wouldn't perform if the President showed up at her show because "I hate the m…..f…er".

The Republicans aren't much better in eating their own.

The hate and violence is coming from the Left and it's mostly because the Democratic Party embraces it. It's growing worse. We are on a path to becoming Venezuela.

President Nicolas Maduro has a plan to take place on July 30 elections for a special assembly to rewrite the constitution, which critics say are stacked in his favour. It undoubtedly will be. He's a Democratic Socialist like Bernie Sanders who doesn't really believe in elections.

Anti-government demonstrations in the deteriorating nation once drew turnouts of over a million, but weeks of tear gas and water-cannon blasts have dissuaded casual protesters.

Protests continue over triple-digit inflation, hours long waits to find basic staples like chicken or toothpaste, rampant crime and corruption.

People who oppose President Maduro are being kidnapped off the streets. At least 3,000 have disappeared.

Vice President Pence gets it and has raised his voice on behalf of the Venezuelan people. We could lose our Republic. The violent Left is working on it.

Incitement to violence

Seth Barron (FrontPage) says Democrats may be horrified by Wednesday's attempted massacre of the GOP House baseball team by an avowed progressive, but their incendiary demands for "massive resistance" since November have been an open plea for the escalation of words into violent action. The daily repetition that President Trump is an illegitimate usurper who stole the election through collusion with foreign powers has been a hypnotic incantation in search of an Oswald: a siren call for an assassin.

We don't have to look too hard to find extremist rhetoric from influential people whose appeals for violence are only partially veiled. In March, former attorney general Loretta Lynch made a brief video in which she called for people "who see our rights being assailed, being trampled on and even being rolled back" to follow the example of freedom fighters of the past. "They've marched, they've bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again." The Senate Democrats shared Lynch's call for street action leading to bloody sacrifice on their Facebook page.

At the Women's March on Washington the day after Trump's inauguration, Angela Davis's appeal for militancy was met with cheers. "Over the next months and years we will be called upon to intensify our demands for social justice to become more militant in our defense of vulnerable populations," announced Davis, who in 1970 bought the shotgun used two days later to murder a judge. "Those who still defend the supremacy of white male hetero-patriarchy had better watch out," she concluded. At the same event, pop legend Madonna spoke about her fantasies of "blowing up the White House."

Liberals frequently complain that conservatives disseminate propaganda to their secretly racist supporters via "dog whistle" tactics, which send the desired message in coded language or gestures. The same liberals have dispensed with high-frequency whistles in favor of a simpler message: "Treason!" Following the now-debunked February 14 New York Times report that Trump's campaign had been in direct contact with Russian agents before the election, a late-night host commented, "It's funny because it's treason." Comedian Rosie O'Donnell led an anti-Trump rally outside the White House, declaring, "He is going down and so will all of his administration. The charge is treason."

Joy Behar, host of The View, has claimed that the president's allegiance to the Kremlin is treasonous, but she is also concerned about his work on behalf of Islamic State caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. "Do you think," mused Behar, "that because he is the recruiter-in-chief, and by his words he's getting more people to go on the side of ISIS, that he could be considered treasonous? I mean, that is against the Constitution, that is against America. That's a treasonous act in my opinion." Treason, of course, is a capital crime; the constant reiteration of the charge that Trump is a traitor has supplied the groundwork of justification for political violence.

Reputable figures in the media have normalized radical, violent discourse. Popular television writer/producer David Simon tweeted this week, "If Donald Trump fires Robert Mueller and is allowed to do so, pick up a goddamn brick. That's all that's left to you." Writing in The Nation, Natasha Lennard praised street violence as "kinetic beauty," and Angelo Carusone, president of Media Matters, exhorted, "Don't play footsie with proto-fascism. Fucking smash it." A protestor at a rally in New York City's Tompkins Square Park held a sign reading, "Hug a refugee (with permission); Punch a Nazi (with precision.)"

Every policy difference, no matter how trivial, has been cast as a matter of life and death. Proposed changes in federal Medicaid reimbursement practices will consign "tens of thousands of people" to early death, according to Senator Bernie Sanders, while rolling back federal guidelines on transgender bathroom signage will cause more teenagers to kill themselves, according to ThinkProgress. Abandonment of the non-enforceable and voluntary Paris Accord on Climate Change will doom the world to "catastrophe" and imminent mass extinction, according to Jill Stein.

In the last few weeks, the violent rhetoric crossed a fever line. CNN personality Kathy Griffin posed deadpan holding a severed and bloody head resembling Donald Trump; on television the next day, she tearfully denounced the many "old white men" who have supposedly bullied her. New York's venerable Shakespeare in the Park is currently performing a modern-dress version of Julius Caesar, in which a Trump-qua-Caesar character is murdered every night in a particularly bloody and graphic staging.

Following the shooting, liberal Twitter erupted in cynical snark. Op-ed writer Malcolm Harris wondered if the shooter could plead self-defense, in the event he had a pre-existing condition. Sonia Gupta, a Louisiana former prosecutor, counseled her followers not to be too sad about the wounding of Representative Steve Scalise, because "he's a racist piece of shit and hateful bigot." David Frum, though not a liberal, reminded us that "the president is the country's noisiest inciter of political violence," though the violence he has supposedly incited appears to be mostly from the other side.

Trump's opponents in the media, academia, and politics can pretend that their calls for radical action were meant metaphorically or in a nonviolent sense. But they are the ones who opened this box of fear, panic, and rage. Let them take responsibility for the climate that now exists.

Killing Republicans to save health care and the planet

Daniel Greenfield (FrontPage) says the Democratic National Committee announced that Resistance Summer would begin in June. James Hodgkinson, a Bernie Sanders volunteer, delivered by opening fire on Republicans playing baseball.

Hodgkinson had spent the weeks before the shooting staring at the site of his future attack and working on his laptop. What was he doing on his laptop? Ranting about Trump and Republicans.

The left-wing terrorist who opened fire on Republicans practicing for a charity baseball game, an event to which they had brought their children, didn't come up with his own ideas. His Facebook pages were dumpsters rotting with reposted left-wing hate. There was Bill Moyers' Resistance plan along with Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Rachel Maddow, Robert Reich and Noam Chomsky.

They helped shape Hodgkinson's conviction that Republicans had to be destroyed. Or as the title of a Facebook group that he belonged to put it, "Terminate the Republican Party."

James Hodgkinson did his best in a Virginia park. And he wasn't a lone lunatic. Not by a long shot.

After the attack, the office of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) received an email reading "One down, 216 to go". Congressman Tom Garrett (R-Va.) needed security after receiving threats reading, "This is how we're going to kill your wife". Other threats described graphic atrocities against his daughters and even his dog.

Congresswoman Martha McSally (R-AZ.) went to the FBI after phone messages warning, "Martha our sights are set on you, right between your **** eyes" and "Can't wait to **** pull the trigger."

And, of course, the leftists had a field day on Twitter:

And it didn't stop at words.

David Kustoff (R-Tenn.) had his car nearly run off the road and was then threatened. Indivisible Team protests at Dana Rohrabacher's office (R-CA.) ended with a 71-year-old female staffer being injured by the actions of the leftist protesters.

This campaign of harassment was eventually bound to escalate to assassination. James Hodgkinson just happened to be the first to pull the trigger. But it could have been any of a growing number of leftist activists who had become convinced that Trump was a fascist dictator and that violence was the answer.

The "Resistance" began by invoking an unprecedented crisis that required setting aside democracy and the niceties of political discourse. It escalated quickly to street violence and then to murder.

The media and the political personalities of the Left who have been profitably feeding the crisis claim to disavow Hodgkinson's tactic of actually shooting Republicans, but they led him to his bloody conclusion.

What made James Hodgkinson believe that stopping the repeal of ObamaCare was a matter of life and death? Or, as he put it, "Republicans Want to Deny Most All Americans Health Care"?

It was Bernie Sanders who claimed that "thousands of Americans would die" if Republicans repealed ObamaCare. "Families will go bankrupt. People will die," Elizabeth Warren had tweeted.

James Hodgkinson was a big Bernie supporter. And he was a fan of Elizabeth Warren.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, in whose state the shootings happened, had claimed, "People are going to lose lives." Instead of trying to push gun control, he might have revisited his own rhetoric.

Congressman John Lewis claimed that the repeal would kill. Congressman Ruben Gallego insisted that he didn't have to be civil to Republicans because their "policies that are going to kill people".

It's a short step from accusing Republicans of killing people to suspending civility to wishing them dead.

And Democrat politicians were downright restrained compared to some of their media allies. Newsweek's Kurt Eichenwald wanted to see every Congressional Republican who voted for ObamaCare have a family member perish. "It should be their loved ones who die," he ranted.

"The goprs in congress didn't just send out a tweet wishing for me to face my own death. They actually voted to do it. If people don't give a damn about the consequences of what they do, they should face those consequences," Eichenwald wrote in a statement.

James Hodgkinson was a fan of the Rachel Maddow show. Eichenwald was an MSNBC contributor and his work had been touted by Rachel Maddow.

Calls for violence against Republicans had become normalized.

A few days before the attack, the Huffington Post ran a piece calling for executing Trump "and everyone assisting in his agenda". It has since come down, but a similarly themed piece defending a "violent response" to President Trump is still up. Julius Caesar reimagined as Trump and leftist activists as his heroic assassins made headlines. "Killing Republicans" in neighboring Brooklyn did not.

"They should be lined up and shot," Professor John Griffin posted of Republicans over the ObamaCare repeal. Professor Lars Maischak at Frenso State proposed "the execution of two Republicans for each deported immigrant."

And it didn't end after the shooting.

"If the shooter has a serious health condition then is taking potshots at the GOP house leadership considered self defense?" Malcolm Harris, a regular at the New Republic, whose work has appeared at the Washington Post and Salon, inquired.

If Congressional Republicans are indeed killing people, why shouldn't they be killed? Hodgkinson accepted the left's premise and took it to its logically murderous conclusion.

"Noam Chomsky calls the Republican Party the Most Dangerous Organization in Human History!" was one of the messages on his Facebook page.

According to Chomsky, appearing on Democracy Now with Amy Goodman, Republicans are committed "to the destruction of organized human life on Earth." Forget health care. Republicans are actually trying to wipe out the species by denying Global Warming.

James Hodgkinson participated in the People's Climate March. Its theme, like Chomsky's, was that Trump and Republicans were a threat to the entire planet.

If that's true, shouldn't someone save the planet by doing something about those Republicans?

Hodgkinson was taught by the Left that all problems were reducible to Republican evil. He quoted Robert Reich, a Sanders Institute fellow, claiming that the poor economy was due to tax cuts for the rich.

The Republicans had destroyed the economy, health care and the planet. Someone had to stop them.

"Congressional Republicans Hate Americans & Should All be Voted Out of Office," James Hodgkinson ranted on Facebook. But even he could see that was not going to happen.

Congressman Scalise had won 74.6% of the vote in his last election. If he couldn't be voted out, he could be killed. And on his Facebook page, Hodgkinson had displayed a marked hostility to him.

And the rest you can see on cable news.

The Left has a long ugly history of priming killers and then playing innocent. James Hodgkinson, like Lee Harvey Oswald, imbibed enough of that sense of urgent crisis that instead of just continuing to attend Occupy Wall Street rallies and anti-Trump marches, instead of just donating a few dollars here and there to leftist causes and politicians, he decided to take their rhetoric seriously. There was nothing wrong with his logic. There was something deeply wrong with those whose ideas he was relying on.

James Hodgkinson took the left's claims at face value. If Trump is Hitler, if Republicans are fascists, if their policies will kill thousands of people, wipe out the economy and destroy the planet, then Jimmy was just a good member of the "Resistance" fighting to save all human life on earth.

The Left can't quite decide whether its incitement should be taken at face value. Some on the Left do. They're the ones who can be seen calling for the murder of Republicans. Others profit from it, but then disavow the tactics. But for many leftists like James Hodgkinson, these fine distinctions are lost.

They don't understand that Bernie Sanders doesn't really believe that Republicans will kill thousands of people. He's just saving up for a fourth home. Elizabeth Warren is a millionaire and former Republican who figured out that being a fake class warrior pays even better than being a fake Cherokee. Robert Reich was getting paid $235,791 to teach a class on income inequality at Berkeley.

Hodgkinson was a side effect of Bernie's three homes, Liz's presidential ambitions and Bob's ambitions. The shooting of Congressman Scalise and others on that field was a side effect of the left's quest for power. And worse still, there are those on the Left who are true believers and who really do want a war.

"Republicans are getting what they want," Markos Moulitsas‏ of DailyKos posted.

But it's the Left that is actually getting what it wanted. All that hate and rage couldn't be satiated by marches and rallies. It spilled over into street violence, terroristic threats and now terrorism.

Leftist leaders believe that they can contain the violence and channel it into protests, rallies and donations. At worst, there might be the occasional campus riot or street fight. But the Alexandria attack is a warning that the violence that the Left is inciting and unleashing cannot be contained for long.

"Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It's Time to Destroy Trump & Co," Hodgkinson ranted. Trump isn't destroying our democracy. The leftists trying to bring him down are.

The Left has whipped up an angry mob and promised them that if they scream and shout enough, President Trump will be forced out of office. They manufactured a crisis and now it's exploding on them. If they can't deliver a coup, there will be more shootings like this one.

The Democrats are sleepwalking into a civil war. They want power, but like leftists from Russia to Cuba, they haven't seriously contemplated the price that will have to paid for their bloody utopia.

In her "Resistance" video, former Attorney General Lynch spoke of blood, marching and dying. At Eugene Simpson Stadium Park, the 10-year-old son of Congressman Barton huddled under a bench. Congressman Wenstrup, an Iraq War veteran, struggled to provide aid to the wounded Scalise.

That's what Lynch's bleeding and dying looks like. This is what the left's Resistance really looks like. Democrats, liberals and even leftists ought to take a good look to see if that's what they really want.

There has been a shooting in Alexandria, Virginia

First reports say Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) has been shot in the hip at at GOP Congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia. Two Capitol Police officers have also been shot.

As can be expected, reports from the scene conflict. One report says two federal police have also been shot and the "shooter" is dead. Another report says the suspect is in custody, and victims are being taken to hospitals.

The shooting lasted as long as 10 minutes, and the "shooter" was eventually taken down by a member of the Capitol Police, who himself had been shot.

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) said "at least five" people were shot (smells more and more like jihad). Later reports said the congressman, an aide to Rep. Roger Williams, two Capital Police officers and "the shooter" were shot and wounded.

Update: President Trump made a statement about 11:45 and said that Rep. Scalise was stable and "the shooter" was dead.

Residents say congressman ran to nearby apartments for shelter.

Rep. Mike Bishop, R-Mich., said Scalise was at second base when he was shot:

"I was looking right at him. He was a sitting duck."

Jeff Flake (R-AZ) said the shooter, who he described as "40 to 50 years old, white," was originally out in the open and then retreated to behind the 3rd base dugout.

"I felt like I was back in Iraq as a surgeon," Rep. Wenstrup, who administered to Scalise, says on shooting.

DC is a gun free zone. Law abiding citizens cannot be armed. Apparently the "shooter" did not get the memo.

Check this Twitter feed for the very latest.

Update:  The Washington Post and Associated Press reported that officials were identifying the suspect as James T. Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Ill.

Heavy is reporting that a motive for the shooting is not yet known, but Hodgkinson’s Facebook page shows someone who had a high interest in politics, who supported Bernie Sanders during the presidential election and expressed anger with President Donald Trump and Republican Congressmen.

Sanders made a hasty "cover-my-ass" speech, saying he "condemned violence of any kind," although he has never had a bad thing to say about the #BlackLivesMatter and Antifa hooligans, but Hodgkinson was a Sander's campaign worker, so he had to say something!

He has posted about his anger with congressional Republicans several times on Facebook and shared an anti-Scalise cartoon.

Hodgkinson was a diehard Rachel Maddow fan who hated "the rich."

He's not a big fan of the president either.

Hodgkinson wrote on his Facebook page, "Trump is a traitor. Trump has destroyed our democracy. It's time to destroy Trump & Co."

Apparently Hodgkinson was convinced that Trump was guilty of treason even though we still haven't seen any evidence of any high crimes or misdemeanors after almost a year of intensive investigations.

This is just the logical extension of the Kathy Griffin and the Shakespeare in the Park graphic executions of President Trump.

More to follow . . .

Why leftist zombies will never stop attacking Trump

Gina Loudon (WND) saysthe Republicans, and most normal, working people in the world have concerns. They want tax cuts, a thriving economy, national security, and they want the failed Obamacare repealed.

The Left is wholly unconcerned about any of that. It will name its issues as equality (a.k.a. socialism), environmentalism (a.k.a another excuse to implement socialism) and Russia (hello? Just one piece of evidence, please?).

Leftists want to torment Trump until he resigns, is impeached or -- let's just be honest about it -- they wouldn't shed a tear and might even celebrate if he died. They are the bullies on the playground shouting, "Russia! Comey! Russia! Comey!"

So why aren't they having any success? Why can't they fill a stadium with activists, like the president can? Why can't they win a special Senate or House election? Why isn't their torment taken seriously?

  • This president is an executive. He is used to juggling many items at once, with fires to put out on every front, and he knows how to stay focused through it.
  • They have yelled, "Chicken Little! The sky is falling!" so many times that the American public is having scandal fatigue. Every time they scream "collusion!" or "obstruction!" the American people roll their collective eyes and go back to their jobs, their families, and planning their summer vacation with the extra dollars starting to land in their wallets as this president continues to execute his plan to Make America Great Again.
  • They aren't real. There's the ghost under your bed, the boogeyman in your closet and the zombie walking the dark alleys at night. And then there is the leftist activist. If George Soros stopped paying them to show up, to tweet, to vote and to spout narrative into microphones on fake news shows, it would be like that moment when you walk out of the theater and realize the zombies were never actually real.

Fantasies on the Right that they will stop attacking are just as imaginary. They won't. They can't. They have no other skills.

The attacks will continue every day until the end of Trump's presidency.

This president has turned the beltway and the media over like you roll over an attacking honey badger to expose its fluffy underbelly. All they know to do while they lay there on their backs is growl and complain.

I recently talked about the continued media attacks on Hannity:

The Left's entire existence has always been predicated upon its deal making and power brokering. Leftists don't know how to do honest work and be accountable to the American voters. They don't trust their own ideas, they can't name their own values, and they have no confidence in their own ability to succeed if the establishment power grid is cut. And Trump has some big scissors!

I believe the Trump base is emboldened as he battles back at the leftist attackers. Some on the right have said they wish he wouldn't respond at all, especially via Twitter. I disagree, and I explained why on Fox Business:

I am reminded of my old cheerleading days when I watch the juvenile tactics of the Left, and their unrelenting screeching that the sky is really falling.

"When they say ___, we say ___ …"

Remember that cheer from your high-school days? It's still so applicable when dealing with snowflakes and Peter Pan progressives who refuse to grow up.

When they say Russia, we say it was Hillary who cut her deal to sell uranium to Russia and pad the pockets of the Clinton Foundation. It was Obama who promised in a hot-mic-moment to lay down for the Russians after his re-election. It was the Obama administration that was supposed to protect our election systems from attacks in the last election. Russia is a Democrat problem.

When they say sexist, racist, homophobe, xenophobe, etc., we say our Constitution handles all of that. The Democrats and their identity politics have only fomented hate and violence, and we are in the business of fixing that.

When they say environment, we say weather. Their own fatalistic theories have been destroyed, one by one, and their silly Paris climate agreement was nothing more than socialist redistribution of wealth (we call that stealing), and they were caught red-handed when it was ultimately discovered that all the money in the world won't make a dent in their fantasy of climate change -- because it's weather.

This week's dog-and-Comey show (I stole that from Eric Bolling) backfired to expose their queasy, weak, fame-whoring beta male, Comey, for the incompetent fraudulent leaker he is. Rather than exposing President Trump as the obstructionist, it exposed Obama's Loretta Lynch.

Turns out the only real zombies are the ones looking back at the Left in their own dark mirrors. They are no match for this focused, 4D chess-playing (I stole that from Bill Mitchell) president.

But don't expect the zombies to ever stop coming for the president. The attacks will never stop, but we are going to be really good at slaying zombies by the end of the Trump's eight-year presidency.

There's the "evil party" and the "stupid party" -- call me "a proud member of the stupid party"

S. Noble (IndependentSentinel) is reporting that M. Stanton Evans once said that "we have two parties here…. One is the evil party and the other is the stupid party." Evans, who passed away in 2015, added "I'm very proud to be a member of the stupid party."

The Democrat Party is the party of evil and of hate while pretending they are the only ones who speak of love.

The Democrat Party  today is a far-left party that has bought favor and votes with Soros money and organizations. He is one of their de facto leaders.

They are the people who do the bidding of unions, Planned Parenthood, corporatists, and openly anti-American groups to secure votes and power.

They have an unholy alliance with the media. Together, they are propagandists. Other opinions are silenced under the label of "fake news".

In Congress, it's Democrats who have no desire to negotiate. It's their way and only their way.

Currently the party is actively working to overthrow the President of the United States and ironically they call themselves the Resistance. If it destroys our Republic, it's a small price to pay. They will engage in salacious speculation and leaking of classified information and lies for their higher goal of absolute power.

The institutions of higher learning which once used the Socratic method of teaching are now indoctrination centers.

The Democrat Party has become the party of coastal elites, radicalized and idealistic college kids, angry minorities including those here illegally, vulgar politicians, felons, fascists, communists, socialists, misfits, and anyone who buys into identity politics.

They are the party of big money.

A recent ABC poll showed that two-thirds of the Democrat Party is out of touch with voters, but that hasn't affected their leftist platform.

They are unquestionably the party of abortion -- only. The organizers of the recent Women's March in D.C. wouldn't allow Pro-Life Democrats to march with them. Democrats want abortion to be allowed to the moment of birth in an age of sonograms that prove fetuses don't suddenly become babies when they are born.

They are the pro-Sharia for America party. The MSM described Saturday's March Against Sharia as a march against Muslims. That tells us we must accept Sharia or we will be called Islamophobes.

They only support some women but call themselves the party of women.

Gay Trump supporters were banned from the LGBT march today because the Democrat Party is not about liberals, it's about control freaks who don't support gays unless they are Democrats.

Democrats have sold their souls to the evil George Soros and the Clintons, excusing their evil actions, and only finding fault with the Republicans. Nothing Soros does wrong counts, nothing Hillary does wrong counts, nothing Jim Comey does wrong or Tom Perez or Keith Ellison do wrong counts.

Economically, they are poisonous for the nation.

Under Trump, the S&P 500 is up more than 12 percent since Election Day, unemployment has reached a 16-year low and economic growth in the coming year is expected to reach 2.3 percent, more robust growth than the 1.6 percent it grew in 2016.

The reason the economy is booming is because Trump has restored some economic freedom and opportunities by eliminating regulations and promising lower taxes consistently since he became President.

Democrats, on the other hand, convinced people to buy into the "new normal" of poor economic growth and limited opportunities with heavy regulations and high taxation. These people plan to regulate and tax every area of our lives. If you object, they will scream "inequality" and "social justice" for all requires our universal submission to an ideology of manipulation and all-encompassing centralized control. It allows them to pilfer your income.

Democrat Party freebies for all policies must, of necessity, come from those who have the great misfortune to be productive members of society. The theft of their labors is hidden under the guise of generosity and obligation to help the less fortunate which they've expanded to everyone in their base.

When a president can exercise full power over the people with a pen and a phone while congressional Democrats stand and cheer, you are witnessing a sick system on the precipice of decline.

Democrats cheer the nuclear option as they appoint radical judge after radical judge, setting up judicial tyranny. Then they decry the use of it in one instance of appointing a Supreme Court justice who plans to follow the Constitution.

What kind of party puts Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer in leadership positions or calls fools like Maxine Waters political "rock stars"?

It is the Democrat Party that is cheering Islamic terrorist/killer Rasmea Odeh and Marxist-Leninist terrorist Oscar Lopez-Rivera.

A president who aligned us with communists and terrorists in Cuba and Iran is a Democrat, a beloved and admired Democrat. Thanks to a complicit media, his popularity continues to soar.

Open borders communists like Luis Gutierrez and public hatchet women like Gloria Allred always lurk beneath the surface waiting to undermine any opposition.

The white, man, and Christian hatred which only they promote is to further their agenda of absolute power. Some openly march in May Day parades and no one of their ilk will condemn the violent Antifa. The violence of the party is covered up by the media, an arm of their party, while they try to disarm those who want to be able to defend themselves.

A former president corrupted -- politicized -- every agency and in four years has brought America to the brink of socialism. The U.S. flag is abhorred, the current President is portrayed as unworthy of any respect, U.S. history is being rewritten and our actors, schools and books are  swelling with leftist ideology.

This is what they do in Banana Republics and the party most responsible is the party of evil, the party of hate, the Democrat Party.

The politics of the political Left

Warning! -- extremely foul language -- but a great "punch line."

Watch as a foul-mouther transgender Antifa punk assaults videographer -- and regrets it!

Yesterday at the "March Against White Nationalism," organized by the Oregon Students Empowered, an Antifa member got in Demetrius Cooper's face and tried to get him to stop videoing the Antifa creeps.

When Cooper didn’t, she/he/it didn’t like that and she/he/it punched Cooper -- and Cooper retaliated.

The police officers who responded took a report and I chose for the time being to not press charges. Cooper has until Monday to figure out his decisions in regards to this.

Feel free to leave him message in the "Discussion" section on his YouTube channel. He's open to what you guys think he should do.

There's nothing about Comey

Actually, Comey will do no such thing

Daniel Greenfield (FrontPage) says never has one man broken more leftist hearts than James Brien Comey Jr.

The 6'8 former FBI director is once again the object of the left's adoration. "A Beltway dreamboat, handsome as a movie star," Salon gushes. "Our handsome young FBI director," Gizmodo flutters its eyelashes. "How tall is James Comey? Tall. Like, really tall," the Boston Globe coos.

Now the Beltway dreamboat will be appearing live and in person in the Senate. It's the biggest show in a big government town. Teenage girls hunting for Justin Bieber tickets have nothing on the media frenzy.

"The Comey Testimony: When, Where and How to Follow," the New York Times breathlessly posts. As if it's the World Series instead of awkward exchanges between a resentful lifer government man, Senate Democrats trying to prove that President Trump didn't win the election and the moon landing was faked, and Senate Republicans trying to get on with the business of running the country.

And the Left shouldn't get too caught up in its new romance with James Comey. Not when his on and off again relationship with the media is Washington's biggest soap opera.  Comey saved Hillary. Then he got the blame for costing her the election. He was a hero for supposedly investigating Trump. Then his Hillary testimony led to media outrage.  Trump fired him and he became a hero again.

The Washington Post went from "James Comey just stepped in it, big time" to "James Comey, is this man bothering you?", "20 questions senators should ask James Comey" and "James Comey's written testimony inspired this playlist" in one month.  Tomorrow it might be, "James Comey, we baked this cake for you." Or it might be, "James Comey, we hate you and never want to see you again."

Because James Comey has nothing except resentment at losing a cushy job he wasn't very good at.

Comey's career was doomed when he became a player in Democrat conspiracy theories. First, the Left blamed him for Hillary's defeat. Then it enlisted him as its champion to prove the election was hacked.

And the Beltway dreamboat can't deliver. The curtain rises. The spotlight comes down. And Comey coughs out his carefully worded memos that describe in detail the furniture of the Oval Office.

No really.

"When the door by the grandfather clock closed... Reince Priebus leaned in through the door by the grandfather clock... I then got up and left out the door by the grandfather clock."

Slate gushes, "James Comey's Senate Testimony Is a Pulpy, Literary Treat." If you really like grandfather clocks. Why write about grandfather clocks? Because Comey doesn't have anything else to write about.

There's no "there", there.

The FBI, as Comey lays out in a tedious opening that he knows his Democrat admirers will skip over to get to the juicy Trump stuff, was conducting a "counterintelligence investigation" not a criminal investigation. So there was no crime. Nor was the FBI investigating Trump. Nor is Trump being accused of obstructing an FBI investigation.

All those carefully documented memos, the painstaking labor, amount to absolutely nothing.

But that's because there was no crime to begin with. The rest is innuendo. The drip drop of a scandal without one ever materializing. Comey's testimony will be another drop from that leaky faucet. Its only substance is theatrical. Detailed documentation creates the appearance of wrongdoing. Constant hearings maintain the illusion that something is being uncovered. Even when nothing is.

The better question is why do the memos even exist?

The Left would like to believe that Comey was gathering evidence on President Trump. But they don't contain anything incriminating about him. Instead Comey was trying to preemptively protect himself. To understand that is to understand who Comey is and why he got into this mess.

Democrats fixated on the idea that Comey would take out Trump. But Comey is the wrong man for that job. Just as he was the wrong man to hold Hillary accountable.

Comey isn't anybody's hero. He never was.

James Comey wanted to finish his ten-year term. He wanted to get through it without anybody from either side dragging him down. He dictated and shared everything out of fear, not duty. After getting fired, Comey used his associates spread details of his memos across the media. Lefty appetites were whetted. They were sure that there would be something explosive in them.

But there isn't. And now they're hoping that his testimony will deliver something more. When it's done, James Comey will break their hearts one last time.

The memos reveal far more about Comey than they do about Trump.

The former FBI boss went through life as the star of his own drama. He injects conflict and drama into his interactions with President Trump to seem more important. He takes ambiguous remarks by Trump and builds them up into something grander, not because they prove wrongdoing, which they don't, but because they make him seem more heroic.

There's Comey resisting Trump's blandishments and then tying it up on his laptop in an FBI vehicle. There he is alone with Trump being served dinner in the Green Room by Navy stewards and alone in the Oval Office with Trump after everyone leaves through the door by the grandfather clock.

The memos injure President Trump lightly, but inflate James Comey greatly. Beneath the façade of the public servant is a man who longs for the spotlight even as he remains unworthy of it.

Comey wasn't good at his job. The FBI has little to show for his time at the helm. Instead Comey's awkward misstatements, his gift for putting his oversized foot in his mouth, made him the center of attention for all the wrong reasons. And that is how he went out.

President Trump fired Comey after he made one mistake too many. Now Comey's last revenge is another mistake. Having exhausted the magic of the memos, he'll lay them out one last time. Every detailed description of who was sitting where and where the door next to the grandfather clock was.

And then leave the stage.

After all the hubbub and hype, Comey has nothing. And there still isn't an actual crime behind all those hearings and investigations. The only crime here is the left's insistence on reversing the results of an election. Comey's participation in that anti-democratic theater is shameful. And it belies his studied image as a public servant whose only loyalties are to the truth and the law.

If that were the real Comey, we wouldn't have been seeing bits and pieces of the memos being seeded to the media. If that were the real Comey, he would have done the right thing last year.

If Comey were the man he pretends to be, he wouldn't let innuendo do his dirty work for him.

But James Comey likes the attention as much as he is unready to receive it.

Last year, the New York Times' Maureen Dowd was pitching Comey for president because "he kind of looks like Henry Fonda."

So much for that.

James Comey won't be the President of the United States. And he won't bring one down either. Instead he will have his moment on the stage and then shuffle off into the darkness. The lefties who hoped he would destroy Trump will sigh wistfully and then go back to blaming him for losing the election.

Nasty Kathy pledged to "go direct after Barron" Trump

This is evidence that Nasty Kathy knew she was going to hurt Barron Trump when she produced the hateful effigy.

Today, Nasty and her attorney, Lisa Bloom, will be holding a press conference today to push back at the negative reaction to her disgusting attempt at humor.

Here is Bloom's opening shot:

Nice! This is Bloom's idea of a "joke."

Clearly, these two women were both spawned in the same septic tank.

The Left's unilateral suicide pact

Heather Mac Donald (FrontPage) says Liberal ideology conceives of "safe spaces" in the context of alleged white patriarchy, but there was a real need for a "safe space" in Britain's Manchester Arena on May 22, when 22-year-old terrorist Salman Abedi detonated his nail- and screw-filled suicide bomb after a concert by teen idol Ariana Grande. What was the "progressive" answer to yet another instance of Islamic terrorism in the West? Feckless calls for resisting hate, pledges of renewed diversity, and little else.

A rethinking of immigration policies is off the table. Nothing that an Islamic terrorist can do will ever shake the left-wing commitment to open borders -- not mass sexual assaults, not the deliberate slaughter of gays, and not, as in Manchester last week, the killing of young girls. The real threat that radical Islam poses to feminism and gay rights must be disregarded in order to transform the West by Third World immigration. Defenders of the open-borders status quo inevitably claim that if a terrorist is a second-generation immigrant, like Abedi, immigration policy has nothing to do with his attack. (Abedi's parents emigrated to Britain from Libya; his immediate family in Manchester lived in the world's largest Libyan enclave outside Africa itself.) Media Matters ridiculed a comment about the Manchester bombing by Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt with the following headline: fox news host suggests 'open borders' are to blame for manchester attack carried out by british native.

Earhardt had asked how to prevent "what's happening in Europe, with all these open borders, they're not vetting, they're opening their borders to families like this, and this is how they're paid back in return." Pace Media Matters, a second-generation Muslim immigrant with a zeal for suicide bombing is as much of an immigration issue as a first-generation immigrant with a terrorist bent. The fact that second-generation immigrants are not assimilating into Western culture makes immigration policy more, not less, of a pressing matter. It is absurd to suggest that Abedi picked up his terrorist leanings from reading William Shakespeare and William Wordsworth, rather than from the ideology of radical Islam that has been imported into Britain by mass immigration.

The Washington Post, too, editorialized that "defenders of vulnerable immigrants and asylum seekers, who in Britain as elsewhere in the West remain the targets of populist demagogues, could take some comfort from the fact that the assault apparently did not originate with those communities." Well, where did the assault originate from -- Buckingham Palace?

Since liberals and progressives will not allow a rethinking of open borders policy, perhaps they would support improved intelligence capacity so as to detect terror attacks in the planning stages? Nope. The Left still decries the modest expansions of surveillance power under the 2001 Patriot Act as the work of totalitarianism. Former New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly sought to gather publicly available information about dense Muslim neighborhoods in New York in order to monitor potential radicalization; his discontinued initiative is still denounced as anti-Muslim oppression. Internet companies protect encrypted communications from government access, to the applause of civil libertarians and the mainstream media. The National Security Agency's mass data analysis, done by unconscious computer algorithms, is still being challenged in court.

What about using ordinary police powers to try to hinder terrorism? Islamic terrorists in Europe have moonlighted as crooks, engaging in drug dealing, robberies, vandalism, and theft. The U.S. should have zero tolerance for any criminal activity committed by aliens: break the criminal law and you're out of here. Deporting alien criminals is both an anti-crime and an anti-terrorism strategy. Yet mayors and police chiefs in sanctuary jurisdictions across the country continue to release alien criminals back into the community from jail in defiance of requests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to hold the criminals briefly for removal proceedings.  The New York Police Department defied every ICE detainer request it received in the first four months of 2017, instead releasing 179 alien criminals back into the streets, according to the New York Post.

So what does the progressive and liberal bloc offer? Treacly bromides, combined with fatalism about the necessity of adjusting to future attacks. A day after Manchester, the Washington Post admonished:

As nations across the West have learned, it is not possible to prevent all such terrorist attacks, especially when they are staged by homegrown militants. What is possible is a response that focuses on uniting rather than dividing a diverse society. That's what was happening in Manchester on Tuesday, as thousands of people of all races and faiths gathered for a vigil in the city's Albert Square. "I'm not here as a person with brown skin or someone born Muslim," a man named Amir Shah told a Guardian reporter. "I'm here as a Mancunian." If that spirit prevails, the terrorists will have failed.

No, the terrorists will have failed if they can no longer slaughter children. They don't care if a terror attack is met with candlelight vigils; they care if border restrictions and law enforcement make it impossible to destroy lives.

The flip side of the Post's "terrorists will have failed if we light candles" conceit is the ubiquitous meme that the "terrorists will have won" if we modify our intelligence strategies or immigration policies in any way. The New York Times editorialized after the Manchester bombing: "It is important to recognize this attack for what it is: an attempt to shake Britain -- and, by extension, the rest of Europe and the West -- to its core, and to provoke a thirst for vengeance and a desire for absolute safety so intense, it will sweep away the most cherished democratic values and the inclusiveness of diverse societies." This response is narcissistic. The attack was an effort to kill British girls and their parents, period. The terrorists win every time they pull off such massacres. They are not monitoring the legislative process and plotting how to move the needle on Western security protections in a way contrary to their own self-interest. If a society were exclusively Christian, Jewish, or even Muslim, it would be just as much the target of attack by ISIS or al-Qaida as a more "diverse" society.

Moreover, how would the New York Times distinguish a terror attack that seeks to "sweep away . . . the inclusiveness of diverse societies" from one that was merely intended to kill? Any terror attack carries some chance (albeit an increasingly de minimis one) that it will result in a tightening of immigration or security policies, but that does not mean that such tightening is the goal of the attack.

Perhaps aware that the "candlelight vigil" strategy for fighting terrorism may seem a little wan, progressives make passing reference to actual security measures, but couched in such broad terms as to be almost meaningless. And they are only faking it, because those security measures would violate core tenets of progressive ideology.

Washington Post columnist Anne Applebaum, for example, invokes the usual weak remedies: she calls for "community solidarity, things like the mass vigil that took place in Manchester on Tuesday night, or the offers of tea, blankets and bedrooms extended to people stranded by the attack." But then, so as not to sound too soft, she also suggests "better policing . . . as well as the forthright teaching of British values in British schools." If "better policing" means more surveillance of, or interaction with, suspicious individuals, good luck with that. One can already hear the cries of "racial profiling." As for the "forthright teaching of British values in British schools," where does Applebaum think we are -- the 1920s? Forthright teaching of Western values went out decades ago as an anti-minority, anti-immigrant violation of multicultural relativism.

Even more hypocritically, the New York Times intones that "maximum vigilance is needed, and . . . public spaces must be made as safe as possible." Never mind that the Times led the fight against NYPD Commissioner Kelly's neighborhood-mapping program that tried to maintain "vigilance" against nascent radicalization. Never mind that the Times rages against any police effort to increase the safety of "public spaces," whether via pedestrian stops or Broken Windows policing.

The contrast between the Times's attitude toward domestic policing and its attitude toward Islamic terrorism is striking. When it comes to terrorism, the public should "recognize that more attacks will very likely occur, despite our best defenses," the Times says. It is also "critical that immigrants, especially Muslims, are not stigmatized." If the Times were talking about police shootings of black males, it would never counsel acceptance of the alleged inevitability of more shootings. As for not stigmatizing an entire group for the actions of a few, when it comes to the police, there has been no shriller a stigmatizer than the Times. It has crusaded against cops in the most inflammatory terms, accusing the police of systemic bias against blacks. Unlike a terrorist, an officer almost never initiates an interaction with a civilian with the intention to kill, unless he is confronting a suspect who poses a deadly threat. True, a few individual officers have made horribly wrong judgments about a suspect's threat level. But those misjudgments do not occur out of homicidal animus. Regarding Islamic terrorism, the Times intones that "Understanding is critical" and inveighs against "whipping up divisive ethnic, racist and religious hatreds." The Times has never tried to "understand" why officers are more likely to use force in high-crime, gang-ridden areas or why officers try to restore order there (answer: because the law-abiding residents of those anarchic neighborhoods beg them to do so).

Applebaum warns against "politicizing" the "natural" emotions triggered by the attack -- "horror, anger, sadness, fear, revulsion." Why shouldn't those emotions be politicized? Every left-wing cause, especially the anti-cop crusade, is the result of politicizing an emotion. When it comes to terrorism, however, a country is apparently not allowed to say: "Enough is enough, the status quo is not working, we need to rethink the policies that have allowed this mayhem to flourish." Mob justice, of course, is abhorrent, and any changes of law must follow the normal deliberative process. But the public should not have to resign itself abjectly to future attacks.

Islamic terrorism in the West is an immigration problem. Until we have the law enforcement and intelligence capacity to detect terror plots, immigration policy has to change, both in Europe and in the U.S.  European security forces are unable to track the militants in their populations, so large are their numbers. The United States must not end up in the same situation. We need lower immigration levels and much tighter screening. The Manchester bombing vindicated President Donald Trump's March 2017 executive order briefly limiting travel to the U.S. from half a dozen ISIS- and al-Qaida-riven countries, including Libya, while the administration reviews security screening in those countries. Yet three days after Manchester, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down that order, claiming that it "drips with religious intolerance, animus and discrimination." This judicial crusade against Trump's travel pause cripples the executive's ability to protect the country from attack, by exporting phantom constitutional rights to the world.  Progressives' passivity in the face of Islamic terrorism is not a consistent philosophy. It is rather the outcome of their commitment to open borders at any cost. That ideology has taken too many lives and must be overcome.

Kathy Griffin beheads Trump for photo session with Tyler Shields

In a video posted on YouTube, Kathy Griffin discussed a planned fake "apology" before her incredibly tasteless act. She knew this is an act too far. Does it anyway. Then went on TV to make a "sincere apology."

Remember, the Griffin video required planning, funding, scripting, making the effigy, rehearsal, multiple takes, and editing before producing the final product.

Griffin knew what she was doing and did it anyway. The apology is part of the act -- described as "political pornography" by Charles Krauthammer.

More hate from the people who tar conservatives as "haters."

The blowback has begun:

Liberals respond as expected:

Conservatives and other rational people see it differently.

I hope she enjoys her time with the Secret Service.

Portland killer Jeremy Christian is a Bernie Sanders voter and Antifa thug

The FireAndreaMitchell blog is reporting that a nut job Jeremy Christian goes on a rampage, allegedly yelling anti Muslim slurs while stabbing two people to death in leftist Portland, Oregon. Once news of this nut job's killing spread, he was automatically branded a Trump supporter and a byproduct of Trump's election.

Problem is Jeremy Christian is a left-wing nut job, Bernie Sanders voter and an Antifa thug. What a surprise.

Once learning this, the media dropped the story like a hot potato. Those still disguising the story are branding Christian a libertarian now, not a conservative or Trump supporter. Problem is, I don't know too many libertarians who are anti-Trump, pro-global warming, pro AntiFa thuggery, pro socialist Bernie Sanders. I know a lot of left-wing extremists who are like this though. So sorry media, your narrative is dead, again.

Dude even kinda looks like Tim Kaine's hippie son.

Regardless of this scum's political leanings, can we all just agree he's a vile piece of excrement, and shouldn't even be classified as a human? I hope they rip him to shreds in prison.

Here how the #FakeNews media originally reported the killings:

And speaking of Tim Kaine's hippie son. Check this out!

Linwood Kaine, youngest son of vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, was arrested for "second-degree rioting" at the Minnesota State Capitol in March after disrupting a pro-Trump rally.

The Antifa mob was hurling punches and spraying Trump supporters with pepper spray.

Don't expect the judge to do anything to Krazy Kid Kaine (KKK). He's in that protected class -- like Bill Ayers -- he's the son of a wealthy and powerful man.

Ignore the scandals -- resist the coup

Daniel Greenfield (FrontPage) says the only one real Trump scandal is the refusal of the Left to recognize his victory.

It is okay to be bitter, angry and frustrated about losing an election. It's not illegal to begin planning how to win the next election. But it is illegal for public officials to refuse to accept the results of that election.

It's illegal for them to take part in a conspiracy to reverse the election by forcing the President of the United States to leave office. That's not opposition. It's not protest. It's a coup.

The Democrats have lost the White House and Congress. They've lost statewide offices across the country. Democracy has rejected the Democrats and they in turn have rejected democracy.

Every Democrat attack on President Trump comes down to their rejection of a democratic election. Their attempts to tie Trump to Russia are about invalidating the election. Their accusations are not motivated by concern for national security, but invalidating an election. All the noise about Comey, Flynn, memos and special prosecutors is an organized effort to overturn the results of a legal election.

It's that simple.

The attempted overthrow of our government takes precedence over every other scandal. It is a grave threat that must be confronted and defeated. No scandal, certainly none put forward by those plotting to overthrow our government, can take precedence over the struggle against the leftist coup.

Any such scandal can be addressed only when the coup by the leftist "Resistance" is defeated. Any Democrat who wants to discuss any scandals must first disavow the "Resistance" against an elected government. If he refuses, the scandal of his participation in a plot against democracy takes precedence.

All Americans must rally together to resist the coup. And the first step is exposing the agendas and ignoring the scandals manufactured by the coup plotters as a pretext for seizing power.

Like their fellow Socialists in Venezuela, the radical leftists are fighting the outcome of a democratic election by leveraging their power in the unelected institutions of the bureaucracy and the judiciary. It began when a conspiracy of leftist judges refused to let President Trump govern. Then the corporate media and its political allies created an echo chamber of manufactured scandals to force him out.

America faces an unprecedented national crisis. One of the parties in the two-party system has rejected the Constitution, the separation of powers, our system of elections and our right to exist as a nation.

Those are the stakes in this conflict.

None of the scandals, real or imagined, matter because they were manufactured out of bad faith. When the Left refuses to accept the rule of law in a national election, there is no reason to pay attention to its procedural legalisms and cynical nitpicking. And until the Left accepts those results, its efforts to exploit legalisms to undo the higher law of our electoral system should be dismissed with contempt.

We don't take the legal pretexts of coup plotters seriously because their offense against the law is far greater. And we recognize that the coup comes before the pretext. The pretext is just an excuse.

If Republicans are serious about preserving our democracy, they must step off the hamster wheel. Stop the investigations. Cease paying attention to the media echo chamber. Ignore the Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt being spread by the propaganda machine of the coup on CNN and in the Washington Post.

The Socialist coup plotters are using Alinsky's Rule 4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."

These are our rules. We are the enemy. the Left does not subscribe to any of the rules. It has spent the last eight years gratuitously violating them. It now seeks to force the legally elected representatives of people out of office so that it can go right back to violating them.

The new patriots suddenly concerned about national security smuggled billions to terrorists, passed classified information to Russia and let China shuffle through our biggest military secrets. The defenders of the law unexpectedly concerned about the rule of law violated every law they could find. The born again supporters of law enforcement gleefully lynched cops in every city.

Give them a chance and they'll do even worse.

Rules are reciprocal. They are mutually agreed on. the Left does not agree to follow any rules. Not ours or its own. The right agrees to follow all the rules. And then it wonders why it never collects its winnings in the crooked casino whose pit bosses are Saul Alinsky and your friendly neighborhood media conglomerate.

Republicans face a very simple question. Are they willing to let the Left nullify the results of the 2016 election?

If they are, they can keep going. They can let judges set aside the power of the legislative and executive branches. They can jump through the hoops of every investigation. They can act as if the constant stream of manufactured scandals can be settled by following all the existing procedures.

They can let the Left set the rules. And then, win or lose, they will lose.

The American people did not elect them to battle scandals, but to get results. If they fail to get results, the Left wins. If all they do is survive scandals, then those who came out to support them will lose faith.

And the coup plotters, the public officials, media tycoons, judges, organizers and bosses, will win.

For millions of Americans, President Trump represented an opportunity to take back control of a system of government which was representative in name only. This coup is a plot by those who run that system to deprive them of their last hope of regaining some measure of control over their oppressed lives.

This is not about Trump. It is about whether we are ruled by the people or by powerful unelected elites.

We have entered into an open struggle between freedom and tyranny. The forces of tyranny have been thwarted at the ballot box. Their voter fraud and media propaganda machine failed them. The fake polls, rigged primaries, paid protesters and the billions in dirty money bought them nothing but defeat.

They are taking off their masks. They are making one final procedural effort to undo the election. If they succeed, then the "government of the people, by the people, for the people" that the first Republican president invoked at Gettysburg will "perish from the earth" with the last Republican president.

This is no longer the Flight 93 Election. It's the Ford's Theater Election.

We stand in Ford's Theater on April 14, 1865. The assassins of democracy are climbing the stairs. Their target isn't only the 19th Republican to serve as the President of the United States.

It's you.

Assassinating democracy doesn't just mean bringing down one president. It is an attack on your right to vote. The coup is a plot to take away your only real defense against the power of government.

Their target is America. Ignore their scandals and lies. Resist the leftist assassins of democracy.

The Left might be literally crazy

Sarah Lee (RedState) says correct me if I'm wrong -- and generally speaking I don't do these kind of comparisons because I think they're cheap -- but does anyone remember the Tea Party physically attacking a member of Congress -- or students loudly booing the Secretary of Education during a commencement speech?

And then there's the story of a Tennessee woman who menaced a GOP Congressman to the degree he and the others traveling in his car with him were fearful she may run them off the road.

Wright confronted Kustoff after he finished a meeting with the dean of agriculture at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Wright began to follow Kustoff's car after she tried to confront him on campus and placed them "in fear of being forced off" the road. As Kustoff pulled into a driveway, Wright began to scream and strike the windows on Kustoff's car and even reached inside the vehicle. Inside the car with Kustoff was an aide and a driver. Wright began to yell and could hardly be understood, but witnesses saw her and called police, according to BuzzFeed.

According to investigators, Wright was upset over Kustoff's vote to repeal and replace Obamacare. And, just to be clear, people were defending her behavior online.

Given the tendencies of these people, it starts to become obvious why the country is in the shape it's in (increasing national security threats, unemployment rate at 4.7% as of May 2016, underemployment rate at 13.7%, internal civil discord resembling the 1960s) after 8 years of their intellectual leader, Barack Obama. These people exhibit not only bad leadership skills but their behavior is tinged with what appears to be clinical mania. They are having a seriously hard time holding it together. So much so, that the election of a one-time reality TV star begins to look sane and reasonable by comparison.

Democrats, you want to know why you lost to Donald Trump? Because people who are looking to survive tend not to rely on people that act insane. But, by all means, keep it up if it means the country doesn't have to suffer under your policies that seek to grow a sector of the economy that doesn't actually produce anything but keeps you in fat paychecks and mansions.

Just, for the love of God, don't hurt anyone.

Beckwith, I agree with you.

It is best to have your children work and do ONLINE COURSES to get a bachelors, masters degree, etc... so they can't be indoctrinated by these Marxist, Communist Clowns at these educational institutions.

An online degree is as valuable as the traditional degree.

Plus it is cheaper and you don't have to be in great student debt.

Thousands of climate morons march with Communist flags waving

S. Noble (IndependentSentinel) is reporting that while thousands marched past the White House with hundreds waving communist flags, the media ignored it. The Hill and other media outlets praised the march but didn't bother to mention the red flags. They had an entire story around "nine clever signs from the climate march" but never noticed the communists.

The NY Times said these leftist clowns were "alarmed by Trump's environmental agenda." Fox said "tens of thousands protest Trump's climate policies."

The Climate March today was a communist march which isn't a surprise to many of us. The extremists in the movement want control of the populace, in part, to destroy Capitalism and to promote cultural Marxism.

I'm so old that I remember when communists hid in the shadows. Now they proudly display their support for an ideology that was responsible for 100 million deaths in the 20th Century.

Parents, don't send you children to college!

The Left's culture of contempt -- saving America by hating everyone

Daniel Greenfield (FrontPage) says The Atlantic's May cover features Alec Baldwin covered in orange makeup holding up a Trump wig. The cover asks, "Can Satire Save the Republic?"

What is satire saving the Republic from? Republicans. While making America safe for Socialism.

After Bush won, Democrats fought back by doubling down on the ridicule. Before long they were getting their news from Jon Stewart's smirk. Stewart spawned a whole range of imitators. Today you can find numberless clones of the Daily Show across cable and even on CBS and, soon, on NBC.

The Left is devoutly convinced that this snickering can save America. That it's better than the news.

The Peabody awards celebrated the Daily Show as "a trusted source of news for citizens united in their disappointment and disgust with politics and cable news." But the media was the first in line to anoint the politics of contempt, ridicule and disgust as the future of journalism. Now the future is here.

The Washington Post, once a paper of record, swarms with snarky Stewartesque headlines like, "Jeff Sessions doesn't think a judge in Hawaii — a.k.a. 'an island in the Pacific' — should overrule Trump." Journalism is dead. And replacing it with snarky lefty spin hasn't saved the Republic. Or anything else.

But the Left's faith in the power of its contempt has nothing to do with its tactical effectiveness.

The Left remains convinced that Jon Stewart brought down Bush and Tina Fey brought down Palin because ridiculing the right isn't just an ugly tactic. Instead it carries an almost religious meaning. Mocking Republicans can save us. Every ideology expresses its superiority through its own triumphalism. Sneering is the Left's own invocation of its own superiority. These are the grown up politics of kids who were convinced that they were better than everyone else because they looked down on them.

Much as Allahu Akbar denotes the superiority of the Muslim and the inferiority of the non-Muslim, the knowing smirk, the lifted eyebrow and the braying laugh of the audience when the unironic applause sign flashes is the prayer of the progressive to the cruel little god of his own ego.

The ritual is tribal. A lefty dons the mock wig of the hated enemy and is ritually humiliated for the entertainment of the tribes of Manhattan, Berkeley and Marin County. The foe is destroyed in effigy. The video of his destruction is virally spread with titles such as, "Saturday Night Live Destroys Trump."

And yet Trump, like all the other viral subjects of destruction, is never destroyed. The tribal ritual lets lefties vent their anger on a totem that, unlike Trump, can actually be destroyed by liberal laughter.

Satire isn't trying to save the Republic. It isn't stopping Trump. It's saving the Left.

Trump has proven even more indestructible than Bush. It's hard to think of any insult that the Left hasn't hurled his way. A dictionary of them could run all the way from Abuser to Xenophobe. To no avail. Instead he has proven exceptionally adept at treating the Left with as much contempt as it treats him. When lefties bemoans his cruelty and vulgarity, what they really mean is that he is beating them at their own game without wasting time on their pretenses to saving the Republic on Saturday Night Live.

Saturday Night Live is still the only place that progressives have been able to beat Trump.

Mocking Bush didn't save the Republic from him. If anything, liberal disdain helped make him a two-term president the way that it helped put Trump in office. Obama won by taking the opposite road. He kept his contempt and arrogance just enough in check to appear aspirational during his original race.

Elitist contempt isn't an effective tactic. American politics is anti-establishment. Stewart, Colbert, Oliver and Bee are only revolutionary to likeminded lefties in lavish condos. To the Tennessee coal miner, the New Mexico checkout girl and the Pennsylvania steelworker they convey the smugness of an establishment in all its insufferable disdain for flyover country, for the working class and for everyone outside that golden circle of the tall towers and hot clubs in the big cities that really, truly matter.

Liberals need to believe that even their pettiest acts are ennobling. Their Whole Foods organic avocadoes are saving the planet. Their fair trade yoga pants are saving indigenous tribes. Even their ridicule of the "Other" on TV is the redemptive and salvific process by which they save America.

This isn't idealism. It's elitism. They're not spitefully lashing out because they lost an election. Instead they're saving the country by watching a lefty hack who had become more famous for his credit card commercials, and racist and homophobic slurs do a tepid slurred imitation of Trump.

What a piece of work is a progressive. How noble in reason, how infinite in faculty. In action how like an angel, in apprehension how like a god.

Beneath the Midtown Manhattan sound stages and green rooms, the million dollar contracts of the performers, the Ivy League degrees of the writers and the suave sophisticated five-star restaurants where they rendezvous is the dark and primitive world of the firelit circle in which enemies are bound and destroyed by a magic fed on the anger and hatred of the watchers.

The tribal signifiers of power have changed. The totems are class, cool and hip. And much of the country does not recognize their claim to lead the tribe. Each time America dissents, the Left wears out its lip sneering at them. Contempt is the final refuge of failed tyrants. If you can't rule, you can always sneer.

The Left's faith in contempt tells us far more about them than it does about the objects of their contempt. Art is a reflection of the artist. Some artists strive to create while others only destroy. The Left remains convinced that it can create through destruction, that it can build a fair society through theft, an ethical society by destroying its values and a high-minded society through contempt.

It must believe in the redemptive power of its thievery, amorality and hatred. Or face a moral reckoning.

When they go low, we go higher, they chant, before laughing as Alec Baldwin snorts through his nose. It's not funny or meaningful. It's wish fulfillment. The Left gets a Trump they can destroy in a world where they are bound to win because they are naturally superior.

For a movement obsessed with the redemptive power of its own power and convinced of the utter truth of its own imaginary visions, what could be more sacred than acting out the destruction of its enemies?

Is it any wonder that getting high on snarky delusions of potency and superiority appears so uplifting? Can satire save the Republic? Its fumes are almost as good as actually winning an election. But a better question would be can the Republic save satire?

Saturday Night Live's war on Trump is also a war on comedy as mediocre casts turn to outside performers to portray recognizable political figures, based not on talent, but sheer recognizability.

Tina Fey had a passing resemblance to Sarah Palin while Larry David shared an accent with Bernie Sanders and was forty years older than the average SNL cast member. Alec Baldwin is a real life version of what progs think Trump is; angry, dumb and bigoted. A bad man with no self-control. And that is appropriate. The Left's effigy of Trump is a self-portrait. Their hatred of Trump is pure projection.

Baldwin's bad acting won't save the Republic. He isn't funny, but he doesn't need to be. Funny is surplus to requirements. The point isn't laughter, it's barely sublimated hatred. Baldwin understands hatred far better than comedy. He knows that what his progressive audience wants is not a good imitation but a contemptible one. One they can despise and feel superior to. And that is what he gives them.

Saturday Night Live could not satirize Obama to save its life. It can't satirize Trump either for the same reason. The façade of humor is falling away from the Left's worship of its ideological idols and fanatical hatred of its enemies. And hatred isn't funny. It's clumsy. It's stupid. And it's ugly.

Comedy is creative. Contempt isn't comedy. Ultimately it's just contemptible.

There will be blood -- the Left prepares for war

Mac Slavo (SHTFPlan) is reporting that last week Trump supporters and leftist social justice warriors met on the political field of battle in Berkeley, California. Words were exchanged, as were punches. And while an alt-right leader was punched in the face, by all accounts even the social justice warriors admit that they got a major beat-down.

This prompted a reddit discussion among the left's tolerant resistance movement, with many asking how they can more effectively go to war against anyone who disagrees with their social, political, and economic views.

The anti-Trump protesters at the rally were ill-prepared for what they came to Berkeley to confront and now they are trying to figure out ways to ensure it doesn't happen again.

In short, as predicted, they are turning to militancy and mob action by mobilizing individuals and groups to attend combat training seminars, acquiring better equipment like baseball bats and helmets, and of course, if things really go bad… guns.

Yes, we seemed to have lost today. The alt-right held their ground. If we wanna take action against them, we need to be better organized and better trained. It doesn't help that it's only the far left opposing them, any trump supporter can be radicalized far easier than any liberal.

I hope we learn from today

A shocking number of our comrades went in there with absolute no combat training. We need to set up seminars or something of the sort.

We also need better equipment, I know the bandanna and hoodie look is our trade mark, but I saw the right wearing motorcycle helmets, and baseball helmets. A dude wearing a helmet is going to keep going if he get punched, our guys are going down.

And though they are, always have been and always will be "tolerant" and "peaceful protesters," many are now discussing arming themselves so they can go head to head with the "fascist" and "racist" alt-right.

I honestly think we need a campaign to get more antifa armed. It seems that seems to be the biggest problem with our resistance. They're mostly armed, why aren't we?

Not getting disarmed is a big part of the problem, yes, but we need more than flags and bats. We need to take notes from the John Brown Gun Club and get firearms and training. I know getting firearms in states and cities we have a presence in is usually a hassle, but even handguns would help. It would certainly put a psychological element in while holding fash back. Who do you think a fascist is more afraid of? People with only flags and bats, or people with flags, bats, and guns?

The "comrades" organizing against "fascists," which basically means anyone and everyone who voted for President Trump, are quickly coming to the conclusion that to win this conflict they will need to be armed with more than just flags, banners, chants and pepper spray.

And all this time we thought hugging it out would be the solution…

Apparently, there is a realization among the left that whatever it is they are trying to accomplish will not come with peaceful assembly, but rather, with blood in the streets.

As we and others like Brandon Smith of Alt-Market previously warned, the Left WILL Resort To Large Scale Violence… To Stop Fascism:

I believed at that time that the social-justice cult would lose mainstream influence but that the existing minority would resort to even more insidious tactics and greater violence to get what they want; and, the so-called "moderate left" would cheer them on.  As it turns out, I have been proven right so far.

Not that extreme Leftists have been averse to violence over the past year, but I think it is safe to say that the volume on the cultural Marxist machine has been turned up a notch.

The social justice mantra is changing. At first, it was predominately about forming mobs to "shame" target political opponents into silence. Now, it is about forming mobs to do what they call "punching Nazis." Leftists are now often seen regurgitating the claim — "This is only the beginning…"

Indeed, this is only the beginning.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you have a Trump bumper sticker, an American flag or a Gadsden decal on your vehicle, prepare to defend yourselves.

There will be war.

Obama operatives direct town hall disruptions nationwide

Penny Star (Breitbart) is reporting that as members of Congress wind up their Easter break back in their districts, a website honoring former President Barack Obama is providing "progressives" with the information and tools they need to disrupt town hall meetings that lawmakers are holding over the remainder of this week.

Visitors to the website can find everything from detailed information on each scheduled town hall meeting to how to make signs and even specific questions to ask to push the agenda on a range of talking points including: investigating President Donald Trump, Trump's "starvation budget" on foreign policy, climate change, supporting illegal aliens, and LGBT rights.

By clicking on the "about" icon, the first thing that pops up is a quote from Obama's farewell speech in Chicago on Jan. 10, 2017.

"It falls to each of us to be those anxious, jealous guardians of our democracy; to embrace the joyous task we've been given to continually try to improve this great nation of ours. Because for all our outward differences, we all share the same proud title:  Citizen," Obama said.

The website states:

Town Hall Project empowers constituents across the country to have face-to-face conversations with their elected representatives. We are campaign veterans and first time volunteers. We come from a diversity of backgrounds and live across the country. We share progressive values and believe strongly in civic engagement. We research every district and state for public events with members of Congress. Then we share our findings to promote participation in the democratic process.

The page also reveals the kind of progressives who are manning the town hall effort by naming its "sponsors," including and the Center for American Progress -- the latter under direction from John Podesta, longtime Obama operative and Hillary Clinton campaign manager.

The town hall website links to the websites of both organizations as well as the sponsoring "Indivisible" website, which features a video of Rachel Maddow on MSNBC reporting about the power of the town hall "movement."

"If the Tea Party was able to take on a historically popular President Obama with a Democratic supermajority to slow and sometimes defeat his federal agenda, we can surely take on Donald Trump and the members of Congress who would do his bidding," the Indivisible website states.

All three of the sponsors of the Town Hall Project website offer instructions.

On the Indivisible website, protesters are told: "Your job isn't to convince your MoC (member of Congress) of anything. It is to create the political conditions necessary to force them into a new position -- or to replace them. This is a marathon, not a sprint and every mark against them will matter -- especially footage of them flailing in a town hall with you and your group."

The instructs protesters on "bird-dogging" lawmakers -- "Bird-dogging is fun and easy!" -- the website states.

How to bird dog successfully, states, in part:

● Arrive in advance.

● You want to get a seat close to or in front of the stage or platform to make sure that you have the ability to ask a question and that your MoC can hear you.

● If your group is protesting and is not invited in, make sure you find all the entrances and know where the parking lot is, if applicable, to try to map out the route your MoC will take in and out of the facility, to increase the chances that they see you.

● Don't give yourself away.

● Do not wear clothing or wave signs that will let people know that you are coming to bird-dog your MoC. You want to make sure that you have an opportunity to ask your questions.

● Study your MoC's positions on your topic of issues. You want to make sure that they know that you know what you are talking about. Many times, in an attempt to dismiss and discredit, elected officials look for ways to make you seem less informed and thus not qualified to ask your question. However, it is your right as a constituent to ask your question, and being informed will make it harder for you to be dismissed.

CAP's "Recess toolbox" is entitled "Resist" and provides questions protesters should ask at town hall meetings:

● Will you call on President Trump to release his tax returns? We must know whether he'll profit from the GOP's tax reform plan.

● Will you take all necessary steps to avoid a government shutdown, including keeping policies like defunding Planned Parenthood out of the spending measur

● Do you support Trump's cuts to the EPA, which will pollute our air and water?

● Do you support protecting LGBTQ people from discrimination in employment, housing, credit, and public places and services?

The long list of town halls promoted on the website totals 87 meetings this week for both Republican and Democrat lawmakers across the country.

The website also encourages visitors who can't go to a town hall in person to call their representative, and contact information for members of Congress is provided.

"You have more power than you think," the website states. "Town halls are one of the most effective ways to use it."
