Michelle declares victory in her war against unhealthy food

Zip says: "We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful FLOTUS."

And to spike the ball on her self-declared victory she will teach the commoners how to "cut chicken into its parts."

Via Yahoo News:

As she marks the fifth anniversary of her anti-childhood-obesity initiative, the first lady says it feels like there's "a new norm" in how families think about food and what's healthy.

Because food is personal and people are obsessed with it, Mrs. Obama said she's trying to deliver "a message of change" that doesn't assign blame but provides information needed to make better choices. "And starting with kids has been an important first step because, as I've always said, parents will do for their kids what they won't do for themselves."

She plans to spend time this year encouraging people to prepare and eat more of their meals at home.

"What we do know is that the food you cook is healthier, and it can be more affordable, but it takes some skills," such as learning how to cut a chicken into its parts, Mrs. Obama said.

The first lady said her initiative and her husband's health care law will, in the long run, save the country money by improving people's health.

Saudi TV censors Michelle Obama

Barack and Michelle Obama were in Riyad, Saudi Arabia, along with a large American delegation, and were greeted with calls for a revamped relationship between the important allies, according to NBC. The whistle-stop tour allowed the Americans to pay their respects to the family of the recently deceased King Abdullah and meet with new King Salman.

During the visit, Michelle ignored the dictates and customs of the Saudis by not covering her head.

But look how the Saudi state television treated Michelle Obama:

Update:  Saudis also refuse to shake Michelle's hand

Turns out the video is bogus.  The report about Saudis refusing to shake Michelle's hand appears to be true.

Lingerie store sells Michelle Obama bra

Judy Kurtz is reporting that a "first lady" bra inspired by Michelle Obama is "flying out of" a Washington lingerie store.

The owner of Coup de Foudre Lingerie in the nation's capital says that according to the bra's Belgian manufacturer, PrimaDonna, the intimate apparel was "inspired by [Michelle Obama's] sense of elegance and fashion."

Kiersten Ballman, whose store has outfitted women in the District for the last 10 years, describes the royal blue, $146 bra as having a "specialized cup for fuller-busted women."

After getting a shipment of more than 15 of the bras to her shop on Thursday, Ballman says she's down to a stock of four. She has already ordered more, saying, "They came in yesterday and they're flying right back out the door."

When asked if customers are intrigued by the undergarment's ode to Obama, Ballman replies even if the first lady connection is appealing, her clientele appear to be more drawn to the fit and style. "The color is amazing. That's what first catches people's eye. Washingtonians love blue."

Ballman adds, "It's offering support in a plunging silhouette in an amazing color."

Wait a minute! A "specialized cup for fuller-busted women?"

I don't mean to be crass, but I thought Michelle wore tee-shirts?

Students throw away 85% of vegetables served in Michelle's "healthy" lunches

Kyle Olson is reporting that  An upstate New York school district is the latest to voice its concerns about the "healthy" changes to the National School Lunch Program.

"We throw away a ton of food," Canton Central School Food Service Director Ella Mae "Bluejay" Fenlong tells the Watertown Daily Times.

"If we cut up 20 pounds of cucumbers, we guess that 17 pounds get thrown away. I've watched kids take their cup of vegetables or fruit they're required to take and just throw it away."

That's an astounding 85 percent of the cucumbers going right into the trash.

The school district saw student participation drop about 11 percent in a single academic year, largely because of what's served and how much.

"The portion sizes are a big issue. They are smaller now, even the main course," Fenlong says.

For example, a kindergartner is served five chicken nuggets while a high schooler is served seven -- or five nuggets and a roll.

"A football player isn't getting full on seven chicken nuggets, and a lot of our students who play sports are here till 6:30 p.m.," according to the food service director. "The kids can buy extra food, but a lot of kids can't afford to."
According to Canton Central business manager Judy Rienback, participation has fallen from about 58 percent to about 47 percent. That's a double-whammy.

"Our purchase costs haven't fallen. What we serve now tends to cost more," Rienback tells the paper. "Yes, it has hurt us. Less people participate and healthy foods cost more."

New "Let's Move" executive director is a "food justice" activist

Elizabeth Harrington is reporting that Michelle Obama named the new Executive Director of Let's Move on Thursday, Debra Eschmeyer, a self-described "food justice" activist who believes that all aspects of food production and consumption should be "shared fairly."

Eschmeyer, who grew up on a dairy farm in Ohio and is now an organic vegetable farmer, previously campaigned for "school lunch reform" and has been involved in anti-obesity and school gardening initiatives.

Eschmeyer was asked in an interview in May 2011 what her definition of "food justice" is.

I was an editor of "Food Justice" (the new book by Robert Gottlieb and Anupama Joshi) so I spent several years thinking about the definition," she said. "Food justice seeks to ensure that the benefits and risks of where, what, and how food is grown, produced, transported, distributed, accessed, and eaten are shared fairly."

"It represents a transformation of the current food system, including but not limited to eliminating disparities and inequities," Eschmeyer added.

Food Justice, published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), argues that the food system needs to be "transformed" because of too many fast food restaurants and "food deserts."

"In today's food system, farm workers face difficult and hazardous conditions, low-income neighborhoods lack supermarkets but abound in fast-food restaurants and liquor stores, food products emphasize convenience rather than wholesomeness, and the international reach of American fast-food franchises has been a major contributor to an epidemic of ‘globesity,'" a description of the book states. "To combat these inequities and excesses, a movement for food justice has emerged in recent years seeking to transform the food system from seed to table."

Eschmeyer said in another interview in July 2010 she is an avid reader of "Obama FoodoRama," the "blog of record about White House food initiatives" that was saddened when the First Lady's garden was left to the squirrels during the government shutdown. The blog is no longer available to the public but for "invited readers" only. Eschmeyer is also a fan of "The Progressive Farmer."

Eschmeyer said during the interview she focuses on everything from "food policy, Farm to School, school gardens, school food, rural sociology, obesity, dairy policy, commodity policy, food justice … basically from seed to stomach. The whole gamut."

She also said she is not ideological.

"I like to make sure I'm looking at the right and the left so that I don't silo myself," Eshmeyer said. "For example, I listen to Rush Limbaugh and Rachel Maddow. It doesn't matter if you're wearing a Sarah Palin 2012 t-shirt or that you're an Obama devotee, everyone should get behind Farm to School and improving school lunch and the overall food system."

Eschmeyer co-founded FoodCorps, a non-profit anti-obesity campaign that teaches kids about healthy eating. The group starts Farm to School programs in school districts throughout the country.

"The lunchroom provides an opportunity for a classroom without racial and economic class barriers to overcome the injustice of poverty and food insecurity," Eschmeyer said when explaining the goals of the organization. "I want FoodCorps to be in every state in 10 years. And that people see it as a green job, a way to work in community."

Eschmeyer also has environmental concerns, making her appointment consistent with other government officials in charge of food policy.

Called a "tour de force in the good food movement," Eschmeyer was influenced by Silent Spring, the controversial environmentalist book by Rachel Carson responsible for banning DDT.

Silent Spring, along with other books including Fat Land, made Eschmeyer combine her focus to "culture, health, environment, agriculture, and policy," she said.

Eschmeyer is replacing former White House chef Sam Kass, who announced his departure last month. Mrs. Obama praised Eschmeyer in announcing her new role at Let's Move.

"For more than a decade, Deb has been leading the way in teaching kids about the importance of healthy eating," she said in a statement.  "From classrooms and gardens to kitchens and farms, Deb has made learning about nutrition fun and accessible for kids across the country."

Eschmeyer will also be a "Senior Policy Adviser for Nutrition Policy," able to "advise on food and nutrition issues beyond Let's Move."

Eschmeyer once was critical of her new boss, penning an open letter to Mrs. Obama in 2009 arguing that all school kids should be able to eat as well as Sasha and Malia do.

Mrs. Obama heeded the call with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, though her reforms have not exactly turned out to be very popular.

"Food justice?" "Social justice?" Has a familiar ring to it, doesn't it? This woman is just another progressive activists that wants to tell the rest of us how to live.

And Eschmeyer's description of the Sidwells Friends Shool is nonsense.  Here's their menu for the next month.

Politico story confirms Michelle Obama was lying about racist incident at Target

Charles C. Johnson is reporting that Michelle Obama was lying about what she described as a racist incident at her September 29, 2011 trip to Target in a People Magazine story, has learned.

The carefully orchestrated press event occurred in Alexandria, Virginia's Route 1 Target store.

MichelleObama has told two different, conflicting accounts about her Target experience.

The first time she claimed she helped someone because of her height in a 2012 appearance with David Letterman.

Now she's claiming there was a racist incident in People Magazine

She is also lying about having any interactions with customers.

In fact, the store was under strict control by the Secret Service according to Politico.

Here's what Politico wrote about the incident. Note the use of the word "lockdown." Note also how controlled the media response is.

The subsequent lockdown at Target in Alexandria, meanwhile, is about what it's like at the White House after someone jumps the fence.

No media were allowed in the store without permission, and employees were not allowed to speak with reporters. Television cameras had to get clearance from corporate headquarters even to film outside the store. Once permission was secured to shoot pictures inside, Target allowed filming for no more than 20 minutes, and in only two aisles chosen by the store -- and no pictures of cash registers.

Only the store manager was allowed to speak for the company, and only over the telephone.

"It was so quick," Maria Panagopulos, store manager, told WJLA-TV, which is owned by the parent company of POLITICO. "We only realized it was her at the end of her visit. She was incognito. The team was really excited. We hadn't had an Obama family member since the beginning of his term as far as we are aware." reached out to Ms. Panagopulos at her home in suburban Virginia and will update you if and when she responds.

Earlier this year there were major security concerns when Barack Obama was on an elevator with a man with a gun.

Are we really to believe that the security for the First Lady is so lax that she could be within arm's reach of a civilian?

Other Twitter users also noted how implausible the story was.

Michelle Obama just joined the race-baiting frenzy

James Beattie is reporting that in an interview published Wednesday, both Barack Obama and wife Michelle recalled how they were once victims of racism before moving into the White House.

"I think people forget that we've lived in the White House for six years," the Michelle told People Magazine alongside her husband. "Before that, Barack Obama was a black man that lived on the South Side of Chicago, who had his share of troubles catching cabs."

Michelle even recounted her highly publicized trip to Target in 2011 where she was somewhat disguised; she said a woman asked her to take something off the shelf for her.

"I tell this story -- I mean, even as the First Lady -- during that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf. Because she didn't see me as the First Lady, she saw me as someone who could help her. Those kinds of things happen in life. So it isn't anything new."

Obama empathized with other black men who have struggled with race in the past. He tells People: "There's no black male my age, who's a professional, who hasn't come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn't hand them their car keys."

Michelle illustrated a specific story: "He was wearing a tuxedo at a black-tie dinner, and somebody asked him to get coffee."

However, Obama acknowledged things are much better in this generation than in past generations. "The small irritations or indignities that we experience are nothing compared to what a previous generation experienced," he said.

"It's one thing for me to be mistaken for a waiter at a a gala. It's another thing for my son to be mistaken for a robber and to be handcuffed, or worse, if he happens to be walking down the street and is dressed the way teenagers dress."

I didn't know Obama had a son?

But I do know Michelle has told the "Target story" before -- with a completely different spin. Back in 2012 in an interview with David Letterman, she talked about the incident and didn’t ascribe any racism to the interaction:

Soopermexican says: How awful is that? She turned a funny story that made her feel good at the time into an ugly story of racism just to fit a narrative that America is chock full of white racists. That’s kinda pathetic.

Would you have recognized this person if you were shopping at Target?

Michelle Obama’s austerity lunch program faces cuts in new CROmnibus bill

If there’s any silver lining to the CROmnibus bill it’s that Michelle Obama's totalitarian stranglehold over American children's lunches will be loosened.

Have you noticed that Michelle has been out of the news some time now?

The last post reporting on Michelle directly was on November 4th, and references to her in the above video are at July and May events.

More importantly, the program is classic liberal-progressive -- less food -- more money.

Michelle's program cost an additional $1 billion -- for rabbit and horse food!

Planned D.C. Everest boycott of Michelle Obama school lunch act is being watched nationally

Compare the lunches being served in the public schools to the lunches being served at the Sidwell Friends School where Michell sends her daughters:

Larry Lee is reporting that a D.C. Everest High School student is organizing a school lunch boycott November 13th, as a protest against Michelle Obama's "Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act" menu and calorie restrictions. Since WSAU brought you that story, it has been reported by several national and world media outlets.

Organizer Meghan Hellrood says the reaction to the story surprised her, but says it has helped make her fellow students pay more attention to the school food issue.  "I think so. I think that more students are now aware of the whole issue, and are more excited now that it's gotten so much attention, and they feel that, now that they're definitely being watched, that this actually has an effect. They feel that there's actually a purpose to it."

Once the national media heard about the planned boycott and the D.C. Everest district's rationing of mayonnaise and barbeque sauce packets to keep lunch calories down, Meghan says her parents' phones started ringing.  "My dad texted me during the day saying I needed to call him, and when I finally got around to the phone and called him, he said that it reached the Drudge Report, which I thought he was kidding about. I was like, very funny dad, but it turns out it actually did, and then it went to Fox, and then they got in contact with me."

At that point, Meghan received an unusual invitation... to talk about the lunch issue with the Fox and Friends morning television show.  "They called both my mom and my dad, and then had arrangements for a car to pick me up in the morning, at 2:45 in the morning, that would bring me to Minneapolis, and then I would do a satellite interview there."

After the television interview, Meghan says the email and Facebook sites started getting more interest from students around the country.  "Yeah, I'm actually hearing lots of students that actually want to be involved, and they're asking me how to start up their own boycotts at their own schools, so I'm hoping that this is like a grass roots effort that could essentially go national, and more schools could pick it up so that more attention could be drawn to the issue."

While some students outside of D.C. Everest are excited about perhaps having their own events, Hellrood says she can definitely tell it is not a topic for discussion with her own school's teachers and administrators. She believes that may be because whether they support or oppose the boycott, the school is presently locked in to complying with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act and can't change anything now.  "It seems that the administration and the teachers seem to be kind of on the same page as keeping it pretty quiet around me and about the whole issue, but I've heard some students that have talked to me after their classes, and they say that they talked about it in class. I'm not sure if the teacher was there or not, if they just stepped out or what, but a lot of students are spreading the word more and more, and that's good."

The school lunch boycott is November 13th. Hellrood estimates the number of students times the amount the district is paid for lunches, the bonus pay they get for the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, and the free and reduced price support could cost D.C. Everest schools about $3,000 that one day.

Hellrood says she and others love their school, but something has to be done about the lunch program. She is still inviting students to post pictures of their lunches and to spread the word about the boycott on a special Facebook site. She also accepts comments at a special gmail address.

That's racist!

Kristinn Taylor is reporting that Michelle Obama made light of her food-Nazi persona, granting permission to eat fried chicken as a reward for voting Tuesday and to celebrate a Democratic Party victory.

Obama gave her fried chicken blessing during an interview Monday  with Roland Martin on News One for Black America (Transcription by Kristinn Taylor)

Martin:  So can we, if we go out to the polls, can we say, we have "souls to the polls" on Sunday, can we do "soul food after we vote?"

Obama:  Absolutely, I give everyone full permission to eat some fried chicken after they vote -- only after. If you haven't voted…(laughter.)

Martin:  Just checking!

Obama:  You make a good point because I am. I do talk about health, but I think that a good victory for Democrats on Tuesday, you know, should be rewarded with some fried chicken.

The two went on to banter about the healthiness of certain soul food vegetables before ending the interview.

Michelle Obama's jokes about granting permission to eat fried chicken might be funny is she wasn't forcing unpalatable school lunches on America’s children.

Michelle Obama calls her husband’s voters ignorant and lazy

George Upper says if Republicans had said what Michelle Obama just did about her own husband’s voters, they’d be burned at the stake.

Apparently anticipating problems with Democrat turnout on Election Day,  Michelle seemed to think she knows what the issue is -- Democrat voters are ignorant and lazy.

Speaking at a campaign rally for the Democrat candidate for governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, when she said Democrat voters too often feel that they have more important things to do than vote -- like sleeping.

That's if they even realize that there's an election being held at all.

In fact, she appeared unsure that her audience, presumably there to see her and the candidates running for office, even knew that there was a midterm election coming up, saying:

And sometimes, folks just aren't informed about the issues at stake in this election.  Sometimes, they just don't know how to make their voices heard on Election Day.  Some folks don’t even know there are midterm elections.

See, but then when the midterms came along -- which is where we are now -- too many of our people just tuned out.

So this is where -- when I find people who are like, "no, I ain't going to vote," or "I couldn't wake up," or "it doesn't matter," or "why?"

In case anyone thought that was a slip, or merely a flippant remark, Obama later doubled down on her concern that Democrats might actually sleep through Election Day.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, Michelle.

Remember when you said that you and Barack try to go to church, but most Sundays there are other things to do.

We really try to use Sunday as a family downtime where we can kind of breathe, and catch up, and maybe take a little nap every now and then, if we're not working.

We could be loungin' and nappin'.

Michelle Obama blames "this country" for female vet's unemployment

Neil Munro is reporting that Michelle Obama says that America is responsible for a female veteran's unemployment.

She's been given the cover in the October 14th issue of Redbook to tout the administration's claimed support for women veterans, just three weeks before the Nov. 4 election.

She returned the favor by blaming Americans for their shared economic difficulties.

"She's been trained to be a leader," Obama said about one unemployed veteran.

"And this country's not giving her that opportunity, someone who wants it so desperately," she claimed.

That resentment is close to her all-time greatest resentment quote: "For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback," she told voters back in February 2008.

Since then, her husband has overseen federal spending of roughly $20 trillion, yet somehow only 62.7 percent of working-age Americans have jobs or are seeking jobs.

That's roughly 6 million fewer working people than in 2007, when the workforce participation rate was 66 percent. In fact, the rate is at its lowest level since 1978, where few women were even trying to find jobs.

The unemployment numbers are actually even worse than that data, because the workforce includes a rising proportion of foreign workers. Once they're accounted for, the data shows that fewer native-born Americans have jobs now than had jobs in 2000, despite a U.S.-born population that's 16 million people larger.

"A lot of people think you guys come out of the military and the country is taking care of you, but the transition is tough," Michelle Obama says in the Redbook article.

Michelle Obama's lunch rules add $1.22 billion in new costs -- up 300% from last year

Kyle Olson is reporting that the School Nutrition Association is claiming the new school lunch and snack regulations are causing administrative costs to explode and wants Congress to take action.

"The cost of meeting new federal nutrition standards for school meals will triple in Fiscal Year 2015," according to the SNA.

"The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates that the new school meal standards will force local school districts and states to absorb $1.22 billion in new food, labor and administrative costs in Fiscal Year 2015 alone, up from $362 million in additional costs in FY 2014," the association notes, adding its own emphasis.

The spike in costs are related to the "healthy" National School Lunch Program overhaul championed by Michelle Obama.

"School nutrition professionals have led the way in promoting improved diets for students and are committed to serving healthy meals," says SNA CEO Patricia Montague.

"Despite all of these efforts, fewer students are eating school meals, and the escalating costs of meeting overly prescriptive regulations are putting school meal programs in financial jeopardy."

"USDA or Congress must act to provide greater flexibility under the rules before school meal programs become a financial liability for the school districts they serve," the CEO says in the press release.

According to, "Food and labor costs are equivalent to about 10 cents for reimbursable school lunch and 27 cents for breakfast, according to the SNA, but school meal programs received only six additional cents for each reimbursable lunch and no additional funds for breakfast."

The SNA is requesting "common sense flexibility," including:

•  Maintain the 2012 requirement that half of grains offered be whole grain rich, instead of requiring that all grains be whole grain rich.

•  Maintain Target 1 sodium levels, and suspend further reductions until scientific research supports them.

•  To avoid food waste, offer, but do not require students to take a fruit or vegetable.

•  Allow healthy items permitted on the meal line to be sold a la carte as well.

Farm Futures notes the USDA has dismissed any notion that there are problems with the program.

"USDA, meanwhile, dismissed claims that school lunch revenue is falling," the site reports.

The additional cost is the equivalent of the average pay of about 23,000 high school teachers.

Harvard study says schools trash 60% of veggies and 40% of fruit under Michelle Obama’s lunch rules

Adam Sharp is reporting that Michelle Obama’s new school lunch regulations face continued scrutiny.

The regulations have taken money away from tutoring programs.

The regulations have cost taxpayers an estimated $4 million dollars PER DAY.

The regulations have increased food waste over 80% in America’s lunchrooms.

Now there’s more…

According to a Harvard School of Public Health Study 60% of fresh vegetables and 40% of all fruits in the lunch programs are being discarded -- the kids are just trashing the extra fruits and veggies.

Demanding appreciation

What is it with the Obamas?

Danny says it seems to me that virtually every speech Michelle or Barack give has the "we demand that you thank us" segment.

These two praise-grubbing creatures are always demanding appreciation from us for all that they have done.

One of my favorite Psalms from the Bible is Psalm 98 which begins:

O sing to the Lord a new song,
For He has done wonderful things,
His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.
The Lord has made known His salvation;
He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.
He has remembered His loving kindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

It's as if the Obamas demand the same kind of Hallel from each and every one of us.

Either that, or they both suffer from Rodney Dangerfield Syndrome, which is very similar to Tourette Syndrome, except the only thing you burp out unexpectedly is, "I tell ya, I get no respect." Only for the Obama's "respect" is spelled "RSPECT."

It isn't just that they are demanding appreciation.

They are demanding praise.

They are demanding worship.

And, of course, they are demanding credit.

The only thing these two ever seem to exert any effort at is grabbing credit whether it is deserved or not.

The other day, Michelle Obama -- the alleged secret weapon for Democrat victory in the midterms -- said this [hat tip Breitbart]:

"Just think about how different our country looks to children growing up today. Think about how our kids take for granted that a black person or a woman can be President of the United States."

She also said this:

"They take it for granted that for the first time in history, there are three brilliant women serving on our Supreme Court. They take for granted that their president will end hurtful policies like ‘don't ask, don't tell,' they'll speak out for gay marriage."

As an aside. There are three brilliant women on the Supreme Court? Really?

I thought the only women on the Supreme Court were Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Sonja Sotomayor, and possibly Elana Kagan (but the jury is still out on that one). Were these women replaced with some brilliant women? And if so, why didn't anybody tell me?!

You see, folks. We're supposed to lift our voices in praise because Barack Obama has wreaked havoc with our economy and our sovereignty and foreign policy, but he got rid of that hurtful policy "Don't Ask; Don't Tell."

Now appreciate them, dammit!!!!!!!

The Obamas feel slighted because not every single American falls down to their knees to worship them.

And, rather than quietly bitch about the lack of fealty they receive while they're packing for their next multi-million-dollar vacation, they have to go on stage in front of an audience and bitch.

Bitch, bitch, bitch.

Naturally, Michelle got particularly snippy about the push-back against her inedible school lunch mandates. Said the underappreciated queen:

"In fact, it's gotten so bad, they've even tried to block the work I do on child obesity -- and that's really saying something. I mean, for most folks in this country, making sure our kids get decent nutrition isn't all that controversial -- it shouldn't be."

Another side note. What the hell is it with the Obamas' use of the word "folks?"

You see, you silly, selfish people. You should be thanking Michelle for meddling in your kids' school lunch programs. What a bunch of ungrateful little complainers you are that you do not recognize how much she and Barack care.

They're benevolent dictators, don't you see?

It is only out of their deep caring that they demand you eat what they tell you to eat, and only what they tell you to eat.

Michelle really does believe that her husband doesn't get enough credit for all the things he has done.

She really shouldn't worry about that.

When it comes to there being over 48 million Americans on food stamps, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to over 92 million Americans no longer in the work force, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to the collapse of US sovereignty and our national borders, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to the rising cost of everything from energy bills to grocery bills, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to the present danger from Islamic barbarians, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to the über-rich getting über-richer while the poor get poorer and those in the middle get the very life squeezed out of them, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to the widening divisions between the genders and the races, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to nearly doubling the national debt in six years, I give Obama all the credit.

When it comes to the destruction of our health care system, I give Obama all the credit.

Believe me, Michelle. I don't take for granted any of the damage your idiot husband has done to this country. Not for a New York minute.

You want my thanks?

Thanks, Barack for taking the freest nation on the face of the planet and reducing it to a third-world banana republic in record time.

Amazing what you can accomplish when you only put in a two-hour work day.

You happy now, you churlish Harpy?

Michelle Obama's school lunch program -- $4 million worth of food thrown into the trash each day

Warner Todd Huston is reporting that an investigative report by a Cincinnati TV station finds that Michelle Obama's new school lunch requirements are wasting $4 million a day in discarded food that children won't eat.

The National School Lunch Program feeds upwards to 31 million American students a day, spending nearly $12 billion annually, but many of those children are throwing away the vegetables, fruits, and snacks forced on them by the new federal nutrition standards.

A new Harvard study of the program, WCPO Channel 9 reported, "shows that 60 percent of fresh vegetables and 40 percent of fresh fruit are being thrown away."

"And a recent study released by the National School Nutrition Association found 81.2 percent of schools surveyed indicated an increase in the amount of food being thrown away by students since the new nutrition standards went into effect two years ago," the televised report continued.

Nearly 600 school districts have already dropped out of the First Lady's lunch program, Fort Thomas Independent Schools in Northern Kentucky being one of them.

Fort Thomas School Superintendent Gene Kirchner pointed out that if the program is resulting in so much waste, then it is not very effective. "I have to think that across the country, it has to be a staggering amount of food going to waste, and I think there are people out there who could really use that food," he said.

In fact, according to one government study, over one million kids across the country have stopped eating lunch altogether after the new standards were imposed on their schools.

Many of the new requirements force lunch preparers to use fresh ingredients instead of canned or frozen, and this has led to morale issues among lunchroom staffers, the study found. "Staff in one [school food authority] noted that the increased amount of time and effort to prepare fruits and vegetables also led to morale issues when staff saw students throw the fruits and vegetables in the trash," the investigation found.

The First Lady lashed out at critics of her unpopular nutrition standards, charging that anyone who criticizes her program is "playing politics" with "our children's future."

Michelle Obama says Americans "take for granted" how much Barack has improved the U. S.

Charlie Spiering is reporting that Michelle Obama proudly defended her husband's record at a Washington, D.C. fundraiser, reminding the attendants how far the country had come since the Obamas entered the White House.

"Just think about how different our country looks to children growing up today," she said. "Think about how our kids take for granted that a black person or a woman can be President of the United States."

She also praised her husband for changing history on gay marriage and the Supreme Court.

"They take it for granted that for the first time in history, there are three brilliant women serving on our Supreme Court," she said. "They take for granted that their president will end hurtful policies like 'don't ask, don't tell,' they'll speak out for gay marriage.

Michelle emphasized her continued belief in the hope and change that they promised in 2008.

"Today, when folks ask me whether I still believe everything we said about change and hope back in 2008, I tell them that I believe it more strongly now than ever before, because, look, I've seen it with my own eyes," she said, citing ObamaCare, the stimulus, and the auto bailout.

Michelle told donors that it was Congress that was stalling and blocking their agenda, reminding them of the importance of the midterm elections.

"If we lose these midterm elections, it's going to be a whole lot harder to finish what we've started," she warned. "Because things will be even worse here in Washington."

She also skewered members of Congress for blocking her anti-obesity agenda in public schools

"In fact, it's gotten so bad, they've even tried to block the work I do on child obesity -- and that's really saying something," she said. "I mean, for most folks in this country, making sure our kids get decent nutrition isn't all that controversial -- it shouldn't be."

Lets look at what Michelle says are Obama's successes:

•  ObamaCare
•  The Stimulus
•  The auto bailout
•  Gay marriage
•  The anti-obesity agenda

Every one an absolute disaster for America and Americans.

I can see this happening all over.  My high school daughter and a bunch of her friends are brown bagging it, which they haven't done since grade school...

Minnesota's largest high school ditches Michelle O's lunch rules

Victor Skinner is reporting that there's a sign in the lunchroom of Minnesota's Sartell High School: Students can choose two packets of barbecue sauce, or three ketchup packets, or two ketchups and a mustard, or just one packet of mayonnaise.

The new condiment quotas are the product of new federal regulations that strictly limit calories, fat, sodium, sugar and most other nutritional elements of school snacks and lunch foods.

The rules, championed by Michelle Obama as a means to combat childhood obesity, are part of the Healthy and Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The measure, implemented in phases since 2012, overhauled the National School Lunch Program to force schools that receive federal lunch funding to offer "healthier" meals and school snacks for students.

But the overbearing regulations have thus far convinced a record number of students to bring their lunches from home. Lunchrooms across the country are experiencing significant revenue loss, and increasing waste due to a requirement that all students take a fruit or vegetable, whether they eat it or not.

As a result, many districts are opting to forego their federal funding to serve students food they want to eat.

The latest round of regulations -- which regulate nutritional elements of snacks sold at school -- went into effect this year, and Sartell officials said they've seen an immediate impact, reports.

District Food Services Director Brenda Braulick "says last year, between the middle and high schools, (the a la carte line) brought in $2,200 a day. So far this year, it's been about $1,400 a day, though she says the number is increasing."

The sales loss is troubling, she said, because the new whole-grain rich foods are more expensive to begin with.

"The students enjoy mini corn dogs. We won't be able to serve those every day," Braulick said.

"All juices must be 100 percent fruit or vegetable juice, or diluted with water but no added sweeteners," she said.

Elementary students are now limited to 8-ounce servings of milk or juice, and middleschoolers are limited to 12 ounces, reports.

Snacks are now limited to 200 calories, while full lunches cannot exceed 850.

"Any condiments or accompaniments must also be included in that nutritional profile," said Braulick, adding that the district is lobbying for exemptions, such as eliminating the mandatory fruit or vegetable requirement.

"To tell them they have to take it does not get them to consume it," she said.

Meanwhile, at Minnesota's largest high school, officials have already determined that the nonsensical federal lunch edicts are more trouble than they're worth.

Wayzata High School officials dropped out of the National School Lunch Program this year, along with a lot of other schools in many states, because the one-size-fits-all regulations don't jibe with the school's diverse student body, CBS reports.

"We're trying to make sure they get enough food, because if they are athletes, they are here at six in the morning until at least six at night, so they are hungry," Sue Johnson, the school's cafeteria coordinator.

Another reason the school is ditching the federal lunch rules is because much of the "healthy" food -- such as the mandatory fruit or vegetables -- ended up in the trash, anyway.

"We certainly did see an increase in waste … because it had to be there, or had to be on the tray," Mary Anderson, supervisor for the Culinary Express Department at Wayzata schools, told CBS.

Despite a 25 cent increase in the price of lunches at Wayzata High School this year, school lunch sales have increased significantly with the new menu -- a clear indication the district made the right move.

"We're seeing increases between two and three hundred lunches a day," Anderson said.

Michelle shuts down the press

Keith Koffler says:  I can understand why reporters might not be permitted to film the wife of a Third World dictator were she out on a public street.

Third World dictators are, after all, dictators, and they get to do exactly as they please. If the wife of the Emir of Whatever strolls out of the palace, she does so with an armed retinue that will avail themselves of their natural right to bully citizens who might want a photo of her highness.

Because ruler and ruled is the social contract they got going there!

Here in the United States, the social contract in force is that WE ARE ALL EQUAL UNDER THE LAW. And someone needs to alert Mrs. Obama, whose Secret Service detail strong armed reporters trying to get some video of her power walking on a public street, saying she needed to have a "private moment."

From the account by Vocativ:

Vocativ was on Martha's Vineyard over the weekend to film a piece about the African-American community on the island. While we were shooting on Beach Road, one of the busiest thoroughfares on the Vineyard, the Secret Service approached and asked us to switch off our camera for 15 minutes.

A moment later, first lady Michelle Obama power walked by our crew. She was out for some exercise with a small group -- and a serious security detail. It was 9:30 in the morning.

Our producer and cameraman were surrounded by Secret Service agents andvery strongly advised to stop filming. At one point, Mrs. Obama looked in their direction and said, "Don't do that." It's unclear if she was telling the agents to leave us alone, or scolding us for filming on public property.

Now, an exception to the social contract is that we do allow our rulers' Praetorian Guard to mess with the public a bit if it's necessary to protect their lives from the odd lunatic who might pop up. BUT NOT IN ORDER TO GIVE THEM A PRIVATE MOMENT.

If Michelle wanted a private moment, she could have taken it on the estate she rented for her vacation. That an armed federal security officer was bullying reporters trying to photograph the first lady in a public place is an unadulterated outrage. It is a violation of our basic principles

Mrs. Obama liked to ask during the campaign "Who are we?"

Apparently, not a free country.

Here's video of the encounter. Looks like White House consigliere Valerie Jarrett walking alongside the first lady.

See why this Kentucky school district just told Michelle Obama to take her lunch plan and shove it

B. Christopher Agee is reporting that the promise of a significant influx of federal money was not enough to convince officials in one Kentucky school district to stick with the school lunch program endorsed by Michelle Obama. According to a Cincinnati Enquirer report, Fort Thomas Independent Schools will no longer be confined by the strict mandates set forth in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act that went into effect earlier this year.

Despite the fact that the district would receive hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to implement the regulations, administrators cite the fact that kids are not eating the resulting meals as their reason for dropping the program.

According to Superintendent Gene Kirchner, the “calorie limitations and types of foods that have to be provided” have culminated in students “just saying ‘I’m not going to eat that.’”

Even in the small district, he noted that the cafeteria sold 30,000 fewer lunches last year compared to the previous year. In response, Kirchner said his district will take the lead in providing healthy meals -- for the same price as under the previous plan -- that kids will actually eat. He said:

“The program is heading in the wrong direction.”

The National School Nutrition Association confirms that the problem is not confined to his district. According to the group’s analysis, schools nationwide are now selling one million fewer lunches per day than in previous years.

NSNA spokesperson Diane Pratt-Heavner noted that, while the total number of districts that have left the program already is unknown, it continues to grow as time goes on and schools feel the impact of the new regulations.

“I’ve seen stories out of New York, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania,” she said.

Some districts, however, rely so heavily on federal funding that opting out is not an option. The Enquirer spoke to Cincinnati Public Schools Food Service Director Jessica Shelly, who said that there is no way her district could feed the three in four students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches without federal assistance.

“I get $1.8 million a month in reimbursement,” she explained, “so there’s no way I could operate this without the federal government.”

Another district in the region is also stuck with the program based on the fact that 85 percent of its students receive discounts on their lunches. Students in this district told the paper what they felt of the new program. Said one high school junior:

“I don’t like it. They got rid of all the good food, and it doesn’t taste good.”

She said she only eats what is offered now “because I’m hungry.”

A senior suggested that students be given some say in their own dietary intake, suggesting that “we might choose higher-calorie food, but we’re pretty active so I think we’d work it off.”

Michelle Obama pushed Barack to "side with the black people"

The Conservative Hideout is reporting that in an upcoming book about the "hidden lives of presidents," Ronald Kessler makes some startling revelations.

Secret Service agents rarely speak, but there’s nothing wrong with their hearing.

Agents confessed to Ronald Kessler, author of an upcoming blockbuster book about the hidden lives of presidents,  that they have overheard Michelle Obama pushing her husband "to be more aggressive in attacking Republicans and to side with blacks in racial controversies."

And Obama did as he was told, says Kessler in The First Family Detail.

We all remember these stories, many of them were made worse by Obama's ill-thought out statements.

When Trayvon Martin, the unarmed black teenager, was shot dead by a neighborhood watch volunteer, George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida on the night of February 26, 2012.

"That could have been me thirty-five years ago," Obama stated.

Obama was also vocal about a Cambridge, Massachusetts police officer who arrested a black Harvard professor being noisy during a break-in investigation. He viewed it as an unnecessary and stupid arrest.

A former agent listening to the first couple's conversations in the presidential limo, believed Michelle’s agenda goes back to a statement she made when Barack was running for president. "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country."

On a more positive note, the First Lady is reputed to be friendly and respectful to her Secret Service detail, unlike Hillary Clinton was during her time in the White House. However, this overly friendly attitude is leading to a lax attitude when it comes to basic security measures.

While both Barack and Michelle are well liked and respected by the Secret Service, agents disclosed that laxness and undercutting of basic security protocols in this administration now threaten the life of Barack Obama as well as Michelle.

Lax security has allowed guests into events without proper screening to detect firearms. Current agency protocols are not up-to-date andusing the latest firearms, and they have cut back on the size of counterassault teams.

Agents are also filling out their own test scores on their physical fitness tests as well as not following proper rules for firearm re-qualification.

This imposed cost cutting and lowering of standards first emerged when serial party crashers Tareq and Michaele Salahi and Carlos Allen were allowed into a White House state dinner in November 2009 while not on the guest list.

The lapses in security doesn’t stop with guest lists. Secret Service agents have been told to let certain celebrities drive right up to the White House with absolutely no security check whatsoever.

Another major breach of security occurred on the night of the White House Correspondent’s Dinner at the Washington Hilton in April 2013.

While the advance security detail swept the hotel and ground, agents received orders from a high-ranking agency official in New York to allow movie star Bradley Cooper’s vehicle onto the grounds without screening.

Agents were shocked at the breach, knowing that it could have been loaded with explosives, biological or chemical weapons. The canine team was not even allowed to inspect the vehicle.

Agents were told not to sweep the car.

"Just let it in and don’t give Cooper any problems."

Cooper was given a free pass -- "and this was two weeks after the terrorist attack on our soil in Boston."

"That’s just one example of the arrogance of senior managers in the Secret Service. They think they’re accountable to no one."

Michelle Obama says "the blood of Africa runs through my veins"

As you know, my husband's father was born in Kenya."

Yo! Michelle! Remember when you said you husband was also a Kenyan?

Michelle Obama clearly says -- starting around 5 seconds:

"What it reminded me of was our trip to Africa, two years ago, and the level of excitement that we felt in that country the hope that people saw just in the sheer presence of somebody like Barack Obama, a Kenyan, a black man, a man of great statesmanship who they believe could change the fate of the world."

It's clear that Michelle Obama identifies her husband, Barack, first as a Kenyan and then a black man.
