Obama does nothing as the Islamic State beheads, rapes, and sells Christians

Ralph Sidway is reporting that the American Center for Law and Justice is pressing the Obama Administration to act swiftly to stop the genocide of Christians and other minorities in the Middle East, highlighting the administration's inaction on several fronts. But action is unlikely to be forthcoming. As Raymond Ibrahim has shown, reporting of Muslim persecution of Christians does not fit "The Narrative" which Team Obama holds to, that Islam is innocent and there is no religious dimension to the strife in the Middle East and Africa. Therefore the plight of Christians will likely continue to be ignored by the U.S. government as a matter of Obama's anti-Christian, pro-Islam policy.

"ISIS is 'beheading, raping, and selling' Christians while Obama does nothing, Justice group asserts," by Thomas D. Williams, PhD, Breitbart News, August 21, 2015:

The American Center for Law and Justice is urging Barack Obama to defend Christians who are suffering intense persecution from Islamic State terrorists, especially by naming an ambassador to fill the vacant mission of Special Envoy to Promote Religious Freedom of Religious Minorities in the Near East and South Central Asia.

The ACLJ has drafted a petition appealing to the Obama Administration to act swiftly to stop the genocide of Christians and other minorities in the Middle East. The petition has already garnered more than 93,000 signatures.

The organization reminds the administration that ISIS is "beheading, raping, and selling Christians" and that hundreds of thousands of Christians have been forced to flee or die. But while ISIS tracks down Christians for sale and slaughter, the Obama Administration and other Western leaders stand by idle.

For more than a year, the justice group states in an article on Thursday, "President Obama has failed to appoint an Ambassador to lead a Special Envoy to Promote Religious Freedom of Religious Minorities in the Near East and South Central Asia."

"While Christians and other religious minorities are decimated in that region, the Obama administration leaves this vital position unfilled. This is why the ACLJ has urged them to fill this spot and will continue to do so," it said.

Just this week, in fact, the Catholic relief agency Aid to the Church in Need announced that "Christians have become a form [of] currency in this tragedy." They report that many Arab Christians are being abducted and held for ransom as a means of funding ISIS.  One priest's family managed to scrape together the $120,000 ransom put on his head, but once they paid the sum, they were mailed his cut-up body parts in a box, the ACLJ notes.

The Islamic State has seized significant territory across Iraq and Syria, and for more than a year now has been heavily targeting Christians and other religious minorities.

"Despite President Obama's insistence that there is no need for greater U.S. involvement with ISIS," the letters states, "these jihadists continue to gain more influence, money, and power.  Every day, we see new accounts of Christians & Yazidis begin captured, women being enslaved, and mass murders being committed by ISIS."

"If this is not the kind of evil that our government is established to stop, then one must ask what is," the ACLJ said. "This evil must be stopped."

When the Obama Administration when it intended to appoint a special envoy to protect religious minorities in the Middle East and South Central Asia -- even though Congress passed legislation over a year ago creating the post -- the White House responded that it does not know.

"We have no personnel announcement to make at this time," said Alistair Baskey, a spokesman for the White House's National Security Council told in response to queries as to when the post will be filled and why there has been such a long delay in filling the position.

John Sununu says Barack Obama is indifferent to Christians in Middle East

Lydia Wheeler is reporting that former White House Chief of Staff John Sununu said in an interview on Sunday that President Obama seems to be "indifferent" to the persecution of Christians in the Middle East.

During an appearance on "The Cats Roundtable," a 970 radio show on AM 970 in New York, Sununu said Americans needs to keep pressuring their congressmen and senators to "talk some sense into the president."

"It's a tragedy what's happening," Sununu told host John Catsimatidis. "And I cannot believe that this administration, this president, does not understand that there is a concerted effort to destroy the Christian community in Iraq, the Christian community in Syria in particular, and they're being slaughtered."

Sununu, who comes from Greek Orthodox family with roots in the Middle East, said there are tens of thousands of Christians being killed.

"There seems to be an indifference in Washington to what is happening there," he said. "These are not trivial numbers."

Sununu served as New Hampshire's 75th governor and White House chief of staff during the George W. Bush administration.

This "indifference" is to be expected from a "cultural Muslim."

Critic blasts Obama narrative on Islam

F. Michael Maloof says the persecution and slaughter of Christians throughout the Middle East has become a major humanitarian crisis, with Pope Francis warning that the atrocities border on "genocide," according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

Yet critics say Obama's State Department just apologizes for the terror and never seems to find a good reason to go to bat for Christians.

One reason, a prominent Middle East expert explains, is that the U.S. State Department, as well as other government offices, "are infiltrated by Islamists and their sympathizers."

But Raymond Ibrahim, author of "Crucified Again: Exposing Islam's New War on Christians," told G2 Bulletin in an interview there's another reason, too.

"I believe the greatest reason is that for whatever reason Team Obama has a 'narrative' that it's trying to sell to the American people, one that maintains that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance -- so it's not in the State Department's favor to allow persecuted Christians to expose the truth about Islam."

Ibrahim said the problem isn't just with the State Department but exists throughout the Obama administration.

"It seems more systemic," he said. "Again 'The Narrative' -- that is, the lie -- must prevail, and most politicians who often care little for truth and/or reality are willing to go along with the 'Narrative' in the hopes that they gain favor from on high, that is, the Obama administration."

ISIS' attacks on Christians have been horrific in recent months. They've included recordings of mass beheadings, crucifixions and worse. There even have videos of children under the control of ISIS firing guns point-blank into victims.

But in spite of the atrocities against Christians, Ibrahim said, he's never received any communication from the State Department acknowledging the attacks on Christians.

"No, any criticism of Islam is not welcome by this government," he told G2. "For example, back in February 2009, I was asked to testify about Islamist and counter strategies before the U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee. Although my testimony was posted on the Armed Services website, it was later removed."

At the time, the U.S. House of Representatives was run by Democrats, with Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., the House Speaker. The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee at the time was Ike Skelton, D-Mo.

Ibrahim went on to say State won't even acknowledge that the attacks by the Islamic State on Christians and their churches are part of an overall religious conflict between Christianity and Islam, whose leaders repeatedly have vowed to establish a worldwide caliphate and force everyone to either be Muslim or be punished.

The reason for that, Ibrahim said, is that Obama's State Department "is either composed of fools or it is lying. There are no other alternatives.

"I generally believe that the State Department is merely lying," he said. "However, when the State Department spokeswoman Mary Harf appeared on live television and asserted that the best way to defeat the Islamic State was by offering its members better 'job opportunities,' the idea that the State Department is run by fools became increasingly plausible."

A request to the State Department for comment on Ibrahim's allegations went unanswered.

Former congressman calls Obama out on issue few others have addressed

B. Christopher Agee is reporting that while denunciation of Islamic State terrorists -- as with criticism of the Obama administration's reaction to them -- might be seen as a commonality among conservative Americans, one former Republican congressman has identified a new wrinkle to a familiar narrative.

Former Virginia Rep. Frank Wolf joined forces with religious freedom advocacy group 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative in drafting a letter to Obama and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. In it, Wolf explains that there is only one word to adequately describe ISIS" violence against those of other faiths: genocide.

"Genocidal intent can clearly be seen in Islamic State's ideology and mission," he wrote, "which is directed towards the creation of a global caliphate that has been purged of every man, woman and child deemed to be an "unbeliever" through either forced conversion or death."

Specifically in Iraq, Wolf continued, "this has manifested most clearly in the insurgency's actions against Christians and Yezidis."

He lamented that these religious groups "have been killed, tortured, kidnapped, raped, sold into slavery, and forcibly removed from their homeland."

These allegations were confirmed by 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative, which sent investigators into Iraq for a five-day fact-finding mission. In a recent press release, the organization explained what the team found:

The delegation interviewed dozens of displaced Christians and Yezidis and met with senior Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) officials, religious leaders and humanitarian organizations on the ground. Upon their return they issued a report entitled "Edge of Extinction" warning that Christians, Yezidis, Shabak, Turkmen and other religious and ethnic minority groups face a looming genocide.

There is no question that there is a Christian genocide occurring, and there is no question that Obama, through his silence, is participating in this genocide.

Donald Trump makes huge announcement to all Christians

Bill Callen is reporting that Donald Trump has shown that is not afraid to say what needs to be said. First it was the red-hot issue of illegal immigration, on which Trump took on Obama, Mexico and the entire leftist media to tell the truth about illegal alien criminals plaguing America.

Now as Conservative Tribune reports, the billionaire, television celebrity and presidential candidate has a straightforward message for Christians:

"The Christians are being treated horribly because we have nobody to represent the Christians. Believe me, if I run and I win, I will be the greatest representative of the Christians they've had in a long time," Trump said in a recent interview.

Christians have faced persecution in the Middle East by Islamic extremists, and here at home by liberals bent on stripping away the freedoms of religion and expression.

Obama has repeatedly made himself a champion for Muslims -- and has bashed Christians again and again.

Christians need a champion. But the other U.S. presidential hopefuls have largely failed to address directly the state of Christianity in the world. Trump is filling that void.

In the same interview, Trump criticized the Obama administration for its anti-Christian immigration policies. He exposed Obama for allowing Muslims who live in Syria to come to the United States while blocking the Christians in Syria.

"I learned this weekend … that if you're a Christian living in Syria you can't come into this country. Yet, if you are a Muslim living in Syria, who are not under attack, they can come in. We have Christians being beheaded all over the world by ISIS. In Syria and in Iraq, in particular, those Christians can't come into this country," he said.

And with such comments, the Trump bandwagon continues to take on passengers. David Brody of CBN is encouraging evangelicals to support the business magnate:

"Trump's ability to cut through the clutter and paint the world in 'absolutes' attracts quite a few evangelical voters. Remember, evangelicals hold true to their 'biblical absolutes,' so to see a person like Trump let it rip and tell it like it is becomes a somewhat endearing quality to some evangelicals. Trump takes hits for his boldness, and evangelicals take hits from society for their biblical boldness, too," stated Brody.

In other words, while other candidates remain cautious in the face of Obama's outrageous moves, seemingly more afraid of media reaction than of Obama's dangerous actions, Trump says what needs to be said, let the chips falls where they may.

He is certainly not the most eloquent speaker, but he speaks plainly and truthfully. As a result Trump is capturing the imagination of Americans, making him an early front-runner -- and the media furious reaction underscores their fear of that connection. We will see as the campaign progresses how well he can hold both his strong words, and his lead.

This is not an endorsement of Trump, but a criticism of Obama.

Little Sisters of the Poor lose ObamaCare contraception mandate case

Fox News Insider is reporting that a federal appeals court ruled against the Little Sisters of the Poor after they challenged a provision in the Affordable Care Act that requires employers to provide insurance policies to cover contraception.

Fox News reported:

Though religious groups are already exempt from covering contraceptives, the plaintiffs -- the Little Sisters of the Poor as well as four Christian colleges in Oklahoma -- argued the exemption doesn’t go far enough because they must sign away the coverage to another party, making them feel as though they had a hand in providing contraceptives.

The court ruled that because the Little Sisters of the Poor had the option of signing a form that would transfer covering contraceptives to a third-party, they failed to show that the ObamaCare mandate placed a burden on their right to exercise freedom of religion.

Mark Rienzi, senior counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and the lead attorney for the nuns, reacted to the ruling on "The Kelly File" tonight.

"The bureaucrats in D.C. don't get to tell nuns what their faith requires," Rienzi told Megyn Kelly.

He added that the government is threatening the group with millions of dollars in fines if they don't violate their religion.

"Certainly no one wins if the Little Sisters of the Poor are forced to either give up their ministry or to violate their Catholic faith," Rienzi said. "They should be allowed to just go on helping those elderly poor people and the government should go give out contraceptives some other way than on the backs of Catholic nuns."

Obama is doing the work of Allah or Satan.  If you don't realize that, you are fooled by the Anti-Christ.  It has been time to understand what the Crusades were all about.  People are buying arms in record numbers because we know we have to fight.

Obama response to Christian killing fields "horrifying"

Leo Hohmann says Syrian Christian families are being forced out of their homes by rebel factions operating with the support of the U.S. and its allies in Syria's civil war while Barack Obama continues his policy of ignoring a genocide in the making.

A coalition of Sunni Islamist forces working to overthrow the Shiite government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is attempting to seize the key northern city of Aleppo with help from the U.S., Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Aleppo has been home to Syria's largest Christian community, numbering in the tens of thousands, but two-thirds of this community has been scattered throughout the surrounding countryside into neighboring towns while others have migrated across the border to Turkey or into Lebanon.

The rebel coalition, which is fighting ISIS as well as Assad, is no different than ISIS in its utter contempt of Christians. And a July 3 report from National Public Radio confirms this, saying: "The alliance has extremists in its own ranks who have mistreated Christians and forced them out of their homes."

NPR reporter Deborah Amos traveled to Antakya, Turkey, once known as the ancient city of Antioch. This is the site of one of the first Christian churches organized by the Apostles Peter and Paul. She met a priest there, Father Ibrahim Farah, who was kidnapped last March by al-Nusra Front, an affiliate of al-Qaida that fought alongside ISIS before later branching off from the caliphate.

The al-Nusra terrorists held Father Ibrahim for 20 days. In Syria, his church in the provincial capital of Idlib is now shuttered and he is living with Christians across the border in southern Turkey.

At the turn of the century, Syria was home to about 1.5 million Christians, who made up 10 percent of its population. Those numbers swelled to about 1.75 million by the time the civil war started in 2011, largely because the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003 left Islamists in charge there, forcing many Iraqi Christians to flee to Syria.

According to George Marlin's new book, "Christian Persecutions in the Middle East: A 21st Century Tragedy," acts of violence by Islamic groups forced about 150,000 Iraqi Christians to escape to Syria.

Now, the Christians are running out of places to hide in an increasingly Islamic Middle East.

"Christians in Syria and Iraq are generally caught in the middle of these conflicts and find they are targeted by all sides, because they support democratic reform and are perceived to be sympathetic to the West," said Marlin, chairman of Aid to the Church in Need USA.

"Many elements on both sides would not be unhappy if Christians disappeared from the face of the Middle East and they (the Islamists) would destroy all the Christian historical sites, the relics and the documents dating back to the founding of the Church, that are there," he continued. "Peter centered the church in Antioch before he moved it up to Rome. Syria is the cradle of Christianity."

He said Christians were generally left alone under Assad and lived peacefully. "But Islamic Turks slaughtered 200,000 Christians in Syria during the Ottoman Empire so it's nothing new."

As of December 2014, 600,000 Syrian Christians had fled their country or have been internally displaced, Marlin reports. In Aleppo, more than 65 percent have been forced to leave.

He told WND most Syrian Christians will not go to the United Nations refugee camps for two reasons. First, they are afraid they will be harmed and, second, they do not want to leave their country.

"The Christians are afraid to go to those camps, because the camps are basically populated by Muslims, and they're afraid of retaliation and harm in these camps," Marlin said. "So what is happening with the Christian refugees is the Christian community is basically taking care of these people, they're staying in the churches, they're staying in Christian homes, and we at Aid to the Church in Need are trying to get aid to the churches that are housing them."

He said many rural Syrians have been run off their farms and have fled to the mountains between Syria and Lebanon, while others have gone into Lebanon. Many would rather die than abandon their ancient homeland, but there could come a day when they run out of places to flee.

"In Aleppo and elsewhere, Christians who are escaping, they are staying at Christian homes, churches, places where there is solidarity so they are not necessarily leaving the country or trying to get into refugee camps," he said.

This could explain why so few Syrian Christians are among the refugees being sent to Western countries. In the U.S., for example, more than 90 percent of the Syrian refugees being sent to the U.S. from U.N. refugee camps have been Muslim.

Marlin said the persecution of the Church in Syria has followed the same pattern as every other country where Islamists have taken over.

"In the eight countries I cover in the book, the tactics are pretty much the same, with the exception of Saudi Arabia which doesn't have any Christians and focuses on harassing Christians there as guest workers," he said. "In the other seven countries, the churches are being blown up on high holy days; the pastors are being abducted and murdered. We've kept these records so people can recognize the pattern."

"Horrified" by Obama response to persecution

He said the response of the Obama administration to the war on Christianity in the Middle East has been abysmal.

"My hope in writing this book was to remind the West that the unthinkable is real and to jolt the conscience of the West, where too many people have been putting their heads in the sand, including the White House," Marlin said. "I was horrified at their response of the White House when those Coptic Christians were murdered on the beach in Libya, specifically because they were Christians, and our president referred to them as 'migrant workers from Egypt.'"

"Pope Francis said they were murdered solely because of their faith, and no one has stepped up to the plate on this, no one in Europe, no one at the White House, to condemn what is going on and try to effect change."

Marlin believes part of the lack of response comes from the fact that Europe, and increasingly America, has lost touch with its Christian roots and thus feel no connection with the persecuted Christians of the Middle East.

"Secretary of State John Kerry said we don't recognize this, that ISIS acts like they're in the 18th century. This did not begin with ISIS; this is what's been going on for centuries, Mr. Kerry, so this again is just the West putting its head in the sand."

It has been said that "the last acceptable prejudice is against Christianity," Marlin said. "And when people like Mrs. Clinton said a few weeks ago that we must change our religious views (on same-sex marriage), that is where we're heading. That's what's coming next, it's no longer freedom of religion but freedom from religion. You can practice your religion in your home and within your church, but not in the public square. So yes, language matters, culture matters, and we're seeing a change in the language to justify actively shutting up of Christians in the public square."

And without that voice, the suffering of Christians in the Middle East will not be given a willing ear.

"We're here to get you"

In just one of many examples of the blood-lust of al-Nusra, Marlin documented the attack in late 2013 on the Christian village of Maaloula.

"They destroyed the crosses on the monastery of St. Serge and threatened the nuns at the convent of St. Thekla. They forced their way into Christian homes screaming, 'We're here to get you, worshipers of the cross.'"

When the Islamic invaders demanded in one household that three Melkite Christians convert to Islam, they proceeded to murder them, after one had said, "I am a Christian and if you want to kill me because I am a Christian, than do so."

Al-Nusra Front then kidnapped 12 Orthodox Christian nuns from the convent in December 2013 and held them for four months.

In October 2013, the al-Nusra Front captured the Christian town of Sadad, about 200 miles north of Damascus, where 45 Christians were brutally murdered, Marlin reported, and 2,500 families fled after their homes, shops and churches were destroyed.

Marlin cited a report by Catholic World Report in October 2014 in which a nun who had worked in Syria for years assessed the situation.

"There are slaughterhouses, many slaughterhouses, in Syria where Christians are taken to be tortured and slaughtered. People who are not political, who do not choose or take sides in the conflict, are taken from their families, kidnapped, forced to deny their faith and then -- whether they have or have not -- are killed, often by beheading. This is not about siding with the government, not about siding with President Assad, but about sheer persecution of a peaceful but vulnerable minority. Yet the world says so little, and often nothing at all."

Stoking the war against Assad

The U.S. government under President Obama, with the help of its ally Turkey, has helped stoke the civil war against Assad's regime, training rebels, helping transfer arms and creating a refugee crisis of unimaginable scale.

The U.S. has agreed to accept 2,000 Syrian refugees during the 2015 fiscal year and many more in 2016 and beyond. But of the nearly 1,000 resettled in the U.S. so far, 90 percent of them have been Muslim and only 4.5 percent Christian.

Aleppo now stands poised as the next bloody front in the now five-year-old civil war.

Christians there are preparing for mass exodus as the Middle East continues to empty itself of followers of Jesus Christ. Ancient churches dating back to the first century have been left in ruins.

Syrian Christians are being run out of their homes and businesses not only by ISIS but by al-Nusra Front and other Sunni radical groups.

Syrian Christians are being run out of their homes and businesses not only by ISIS but by al-Nusra Front and other Sunni radical groups.

Father Ibrahim, who escaped the northern Syrian town Idlib last March and is now living in Turkey, told NPR that Christians in Turkey are concerned for their brothers and sisters just across the border to the south.

"Of course, they're interested. And they ask because they know about the situation in Syria, and we are all Christians in the Middle East," he told NPR. "They're afraid. They're very afraid."

He stopped the interview when asked if these Christians are right to be afraid of the advancing Sunni Muslim rebels.

He still hopes the Islamists can be convinced to allow civilians to run the government, according to the NPR report. But those hopes are fading fast.

Are Kurds last best hope for protecting Christians?

Half of Aleppo is now held by the Islamist rebels. Many Christians in the Turkish frontier towns just across the border are stepping up emergency plans for when Aleppo falls. They expect a mass exodus of Christians.

Of all the groups in the Middle East that have had success fighting ISIS, the Kurds are clearly the one group most worthy of American support, says Joel Richardson, author of the best-seller "The Islamic Antichrist" and "Mideast Beast."

Richardson, earlier this year, visited Kurdish strongholds in northern Iraq. The Kurds also control areas within Syria and the New York Times recently reported that the Kurds have made advances against ISIS in northern Syria, increasing their control of a strategic highway and cutting off a main supply route from Turkey. Many Christian men have fought alongside Kurdish militias.

"I can attest that not only do Christian churches exist there, but the Christians are treated well. Americans of all parties must ask themselves why the Obama administration has, up until this point, refused to adequately get behind the Kurds," Richardson told WND.

"The U.S. has openly supported the Syrian rebels, despite the fact that it is well documented that many of these rebels have gone on to join al-Nusra or ISIS," he said. "It is also well documented that many of the Syrian rebels have been brutal in their persecution of the Christians, and other non-Sunni minorities throughout the region."

What is Obama seeking to accomplish?

Richardson said he has been in regular contact with Syrian Christian leaders, and they have repeatedly reminded Americans to look at the history of the Assad regime.

"Under Assad, Christians in other minority groups have lived with a relative freedom and security," he said. "Why then has the Obama administration chosen to cast (the Assad regime) aside as the greatest evil in Syria above all others?"

No one is suggesting that Assad is an angel, Richardson said.

"But look at the nation of Libya, after Obama and Hillary Clinton decided to remove Gadhafi. Of course, no one will say that Gadhafi was an angel, but Libya under his control was 1,000 times more stable and secure than it is today, after the Obama administration effectively handed that nation over to Islamists. One would think that they would have learned their lesson, and taken a different approach in Syria."

Obama says progressives need to help people overcome their religious beliefs

Truth & Action blog is reporting that Barack Obama, speaking in the Rose Garden shortly after the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage was announced, stated that the progressives in society need to "help" those with deeply held religious beliefs overcome their convictions.

"Opposition in some cases has been based on sincere and deeply held beliefs," Obama said. "All of us who welcome today's news should be mindful of that fact. Recognize different viewpoints. Revere our deep commitment to religious freedom."

"Sometimes there are days like this when that slow and steady effort is rewarded with justice that arrives like a thunderbolt," Obama said. Although the progress might have seemed slow to gay rights advocates, he added, the nation's shift on same-sex marriage has been "so quick."

"But today should also give us hope that on the many issues with which we grapple often painfully real change is possible," Obama continued.

"Shifts in hearts and minds [sic] is possible," he said. "And those who have come so far on their journey to equality have a responsibility to reach back and help others join them. Because for all our differences, we are one people -- stronger together than we could ever be alone."

"That's always been our story. We are big and vast, and diverse. A nation of people with different backgrounds and beliefs, with different experiences and stories, but bound by our shared ideal that no matter who you are, or what you look like, how you started off, or how and who you love -- America's a place where you can write your own destiny."

This veiled call to arms indicates that the war on conservatives is truly going hot. He has labeled religious people as backward and a hindrance to all others. The Left isn't capable of "help." The socialists accomplishes their ends with verbal and physical assaults wrapped inside lies and corrupt measures.

Pentagon urged to boot chaplains that oppose gay marriage

Jack Minor is reporting that in the aftermath of the Supreme Court's decision to redefine marriage in all 50 states, the Pentagon is now being urged to "cleanse itself" of chaplains who refuse to support same-sex marriage.

Atheist Mikey Weinstein, president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, is demanding the U.S. military conduct a purge of chaplains who holds to the traditional teaching of homosexuality and marriage espoused by the first commander in chief, George Washington.

Weinstein claims chaplains who are "maintaining the state of antagonism between their religion and the sexual/gender identities of service members" have no business serving in the military.

"Nobody is arguing that these losers don't have a right to their religious beliefs," wrote Weinstein in an op-ed.

"At this stage, the only honorable thing that these losers can do is to fold up their uniforms, turn in their papers, and get the hell out of the American military chaplaincy. If they are unwilling or too cowardly to do so, then the Department of Defense must expeditiously cleanse itself of the intolerant filth that insists on lingering in the ranks of our armed forces."

While Weinstein frequently calls for the court-martialing of military members who attempt to share their faith with others, he is now calling for an entire class of chaplains to be fired regardless of whether their beliefs affect their job performance or not.

Brig. Gen. Doug Lee, now chairman of the executive committee for the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, said Weinstein's views are extreme, showing a lack of understanding of a chaplain's mission.

"His comments are so vitriolic and dividing that they are hardly worth responding to. He seems to feel the need to push his conspiracy theory about certain chaplains in the military," Lee told WND. "In addition, I don't think he understands that the job of chaplain exists in a pluralistic military so that people have religious support, and to do away with a certain group of chaplains in its entirety is just ridiculous.

"It's like he never learned a thing in law school about the Constitution and about why chaplains exist."

Lee contends one cannot say chaplains have no right to oppose homosexuality based on the teachings of their faith while also supporting their right to stand by other tenets, such as refusing to marry those outside of their faith.

"A chaplain cannot do something against his faith tenet such as marrying someone who has different religious beliefs if that is a tenet of their faith. They cannot be asked to do it, and they cannot be required to do it."

Lee told WND that those who think a chaplain must affirm or support the beliefs of everyone who comes for counseling or teaching misunderstand the purpose of chaplains.

"The job of a chaplain is to provide religious support or perform religious support. The 'provide' part is to help a person find someone who can meet the individual's spiritual needs. For example, I would not prepare a Passover meal for a Jewish service member, but I will direct them to a rabbi who can address that area. But when I do perform religious support, whether it be to teach, preach or counsel, I do so from my faith perspective."

For his part, Weinstein said he's looking forward to ending the conservative influence in the military.

"What will become of their once-ironclad dominance of fundamentalist Christian privilege within the Department of Defense?" said Weinstein.

Lee insists chaplains don't use their pulpit and position to call on service members to disobey orders regarding the treatment of "gay" service members.

"For the vast majority of chaplains in the military, their faith groups believe that homosexuality is a sin and so they believe marriage is between a man and a woman as Christians have believed for thousands of years," Lee explained to WND. "But the chaplains are saying that if someone comes to them for counseling with the homosexual partner they won't ignore that person's concerns, instead they will refer them to someone who can help with their specific needs because that's part of providing religious support."

WND reported how the military tried to silence opposition to repeal of the Revolutionary War ban on homosexuals serving in the military during a lame-duck session of Congress, after tea-party voters gave Republicans control of the House of Representatives in 2010.

In 2013, soldiers were given a training brief stating evangelical Christians were the No. 1 extremist threat to America, ahead of groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Ku Klux Klan, Nation of Islam, al-Qaida and Hamas.

Catholicism and ultra-orthodox Judaism were also on the list of religious extremist organizations.

Larry Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Colin Powell, told the Washington Post in 2013 the biggest problems faced by the military were sexual assault and what he described as proselytizing by Christians.

Wilkerson's comments were made to Sally Quinn in an interview that also featured former ambassador Joe Wilson and Weinstein as they were on their way to a meeting at the Pentagon.

Wilson told Quinn that if a chaplain would proselytize, it would be a workplace violation. Weinstein went even further and said it was a "national security threat" and amounted to "spiritual rape." He said the chaplain's role is to minister to spiritual needs.

Weinstein said military leaders need to understand "there is systematic misogyny, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia in the military."

"What the Pentagon needs to understand is that it is sedition and treason. It should be punished."

Rubio warns Christianity faces "real and present danger" of becoming hate speech

Steve Berman is reporting that Marco Rubio warned Tuesday of a "real and present danger" that the fundamental tenets of Christianity will be labeled hate speech.

"If you think about it, we are at the water's edge of the argument that mainstream Christian teaching is hate speech," Rubio told CBN News. "Because today we've reached the point in our society where if you do not support same-sex marriage you are labeled a homophobe and a hater.

"After they are done going after individuals, the next step is to argue that the teachings of mainstream Christianity, the catechism of the Catholic Church is hate speech and there's a real and present danger," he warned.

In the wide-ranging interview, the Republican Florida senator and 2016 presidential candidate also spoke of his campaign, his family, and his faith.

Rubio said he's ready to face danger, but cautioned against America becoming "the world's policeman, adding, "If America doesn't lead, what happens? Well, what happens is chaos."

Rubio said he believes his most important role in life is that of a husband and father.

"If I can't do that right, I can't lead a nation," he said.

"One day I will no longer be in politics. One day I will no longer be a senator or a president or anything else. But I will always be a father and I will always be a husband."

Running on a campaign theme of "A New American Century," Rubio told CBN that America is falling behind because of the Democrats' policies on health care and debt.

"The family is the original cell of society," Rubio said. "It is the first and most important government. It is the first church. The family is the singular most important institution in society. It existed before government. It existed before laws."

As to the 2016 race, Rubio vowed to simply give it his all.

"Ultimately my view of it is you go out and do the very best you can and ultimately it's going to turn out the way voters and God decide," he said.

Not an endorsement, but the guy is correct in this case.

Obama is cold to the persecution of Christians in the Middle East

Daniel Philpott is reporting that several pieces have been posted recently on the unabated persecution of Christians and other religious minorities like Yazidis and Mandeans in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East -- and of the relative indifference of Team Obama to it.  Last month, journalist Kirsten Powers wrote in USA Today that Barack Obama "just can't seem to find any passion for the mass persecution of Middle Eastern Christians." Reporting on a joint press conference that Obama held with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, she writes:

As Renzi was questioned about the incident, Obama was mute on the killings. He failed to interject any sense of outrage or even tepid concern for the targeting of Christians for their faith. If a Christian mob on a ship bound for Italy threw 12 Muslims to their death for praying to Allah, does anyone think the president would have been so disinterested? When three North Carolina Muslims were gunned down by a virulent atheist, Obama rightly   spoke out against the horrifying killings. But he just can't seem to find any passion for the   mass persecution of Middle Eastern Christians or the eradication of Christianity from its birthplace.

Religious persecution of Christians is rampant worldwide, as Pew has noted, but nowhere is it more prevalent than in the Middle East and Northern Africa, where followers of Jesus are the targets of religious cleansing. Pope Francis has repeatedly decried the persecution and   begged the world for help, but it has had little impact. Western leaders -- including Obama -- will be remembered for their near silence as this human rights tragedy unfolded. Obama's mumblings about the atrocities visited upon Christians (usually extracted after public outcry over his silence) are few and far between. And it will be hard to forget his   lecturing of Christians at the National Prayer Breakfast about the centuries-old Crusades while Middle Eastern Christians were at that moment being harassed, driven from their homes, tortured and murdered for their faith.

Writing in a similar vein is Faith J.H. McDonnell of the Philos Project.

Evidence suggests that within the administration not only is there no passion for persecuted Christians under threat of genocide from the Islamic State, there is no room for them, period. In fact, despite ISIS' targeting of Iraqi Christians specifically because they are Christians, and, as such, stand in the way of a pure, Islamic Caliphate in the Middle East (and beyond), the U.S. State Department has made it clear that "there is no way that Christians will be supported because of their religious affiliation.

As ISIS is now seizing the Iraqi city of Ramadi, let us hope that the Obama administration will acknowledge the particularly of ISIS's victims.

Obama's anti-bullying czar creates TV show aimed at bullying Christians

John S. Roberts says Dan Savage is a vile man.

Appointed by Barack Obama to be the nation's anti-bullying czar, Savage has done absolutely nothing to deserve the title. Constantly he spouts garbage from his non-religious mouth about things so heinous it would make even the most unoffended person alive drop their jaw.

So naturally, liberal outlet Disney ABC gave this man a primetime spot in their weekly lineup to do everything possible to bash Christianity -- Catholicism in particular.

Below is the trailer for "The Real O'Neal's," a show that is hopefully cancelled due to low ratings after a few episodes.

From Truth Revolt:

The anti-Catholic spirit on display throughout the three-minute trailer, which mocks everything Catholics hold sacred from sexual chastity to the Blessed Virgin Mary, comes as no surprise to anyone, considering that radical gay activist and Christian-basher Dan Savage serves as one of the show's producers.

Employing some of the most tired clichés on the books regarding Christianity, the show presents a completely clueless "typical Irish Catholic family" who, of course, don't practice what they preach and who know absolutely nothing about sex. A family in which the father exclaims "I can't have meat and potatoes for every meal, not 'til I'm in heaven," while ordering at a restaurant and in which the mother -- played by 80's veteran Martha Plimpton -- puts a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary over the toilet so that people would remember to put the seat down. A family in which the son knows nothing about contraception and the daughter collects money for charity so she can fatten her own wallet.

Dan Savage, himself a former Catholic, has stated in the past that he intended the show to reflect his childhood, and if that's the case, then he could use some prayer. He has publicly bashed Catholicism and Christianity in general on multiple occasions and, most recently, challenged 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson to "suck my d*ck" in order to prove that homosexuality is a choice. He has also called for "mandatory abortion" and wished that "Republicans were all f*cking dead."

Of course, ABC is well within their rights to pick up a show as putrid as this. However, why?

Why are they promoting such foul and toxic programming to America's families? Do they honestly believe a nation made up by a majority of Christians is going to support this?

Are they catering to the small percentage of non-believers? What's the angle here?

In any case, the word on this show and its disgusting, anti-religious message needs to be spread far and wide. This is what America has become.

We are now a nation who attempts to lampoon our creator, and one who attempts to destroy families from within.

Obama breaks promise -- refuses to describe the Armenian genocide as genocide

John Sexton is reporting that Barack Obama will once again avoid using the word "genocide" at a ceremony to designed to memorialize more than a million Armenians murdered by the Ottaman Turks 100 years ago. During his 2008 campaign, then-Senator Obama repeatedly promised he would label the massacre a genocide if elected president.

The LA Times reports the decision to avoid using the word genocide was revealed Tuesday after the White House held a meeting with Armenian groups. The ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the deaths of as many as 1.5 million people will be held this Friday.

In 2008, Senator Obama committed to recognition of the Armenian Genocide if elected president on his campaign website.

I also share with Armenian Americans -- so many of whom are descended from genocide survivors -- a principled commitment to commemorating and ending genocide. That starts with acknowledging the tragic instances of genocide in world history. As a U.S. Senator, I have stood with the Armenian American community in calling for Turkey's acknowledgement of the Armenian Genocide. Two years ago, I criticized the Secretary of State for the firing of U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, John Evans, after he properly used the term "genocide" to describe Turkey's slaughter of thousands of Armenians starting in 1915. I shared with Secretary Rice my firmly held conviction that the Armenian Genocide is not an allegation, a personal opinion, or a point of view, but rather a widely documented fact supported by an overwhelming body of historical evidence. The facts are undeniable. An official policy that calls on diplomats to distort the historical facts is an untenable policy. As a senator, I strongly support passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution (H.Res.106 and S.Res.106), and as President I will recognize the Armenian Genocide.

Obama's reluctance to offend Turkey's leaders by recognizing a genocide of Armenian Christians by Muslim Turks 100 years ago seems at odds with his willingness to confront Christians with the memory of the far more historically distant Crusades and Inquisition. At a National Prayer Breakfast in February, the president invoked the memory of these incidents to remind believers not to "get on our high horse."

Rep. Adam Schiff of California has been the most outspoken U.S. lawmaker on this issue for years. Schiff has repeatedly called on Obama to fulfill his promise to recognize the genocide as president. Today, Schiff issued a statement on Obama's decision saying, "I'm deeply disappointed that the President, once again, will fail to properly describe the extermination of 1.5 million Armenians from 1915 to 1923 for what it was -- genocide… If not after one hundred years, when."

Earlier this month, Pope Francis commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, calling it the first genocide of the 20th century. "Concealing or denying evil is like allowing a wound to keep bleeding without bandaging it," Francis said.

Currently, 24 nations officially recognize the Armenian Genocide including Canada, France, Italy, and Russia. In addition, 43 U.S. States have passed bills recognizing the genocide.

Obama doesn't want to upset the Turks just days before he and the Turkish president dedicate a new Muslim mega-mosque.

Obama's political tool of "Christianity"

Raymond Ibrahim says Here in the United States, where Americans are used to hearing their president always invoke Christianity as a way to silence Christians, United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron's recent Easter message was moderately refreshing.

Among other things, Cameron made it a point to say "that we should feel proud to say, ‘This is a Christian country.' Yes, we're a nation that embraces, welcomes and accepts all faiths and none, but we are still a Christian country."

The context of Cameron's statement, it should be recalled, is a UK with a large, intolerant, and aggressive Muslim populace -- a populace that increasingly seeks to treat the UK's indigenous Christians the way the Islamic world's indigenous Christians are habitually treated, that is, subjugated, enslaved, raped, and murdered.

In fact, Cameron touched on the phenomenon of Christian persecution in mostly Muslim lands:

We have a duty to speak out about the persecution of Christians around the world too.  It is truly shocking that in 2015 there are still Christians being threatened, tortured, even killed because of their faith.  From Egypt to Nigeria, Libya to North Korea.  Across the Middle East Christians have been hounded out of their homes, forced to flee from village to village; many of them forced to renounce their faith or brutally murdered.  To all those brave Christians in Iraq and Syria who practice their faith or shelter others, we will say, "We stand with you."

While one may argue that Cameron is all talk -- after all, the UK's foreign policies, like America's, have only exacerbated the plight of Christians in the Middle East -- it is still refreshing to hear such honest talk, since here in the U.S., one seldom get even that from President Obama.

Consider what Obama -- who is on record saying "we are no longer a Christian nation," and who never notes the Islamic identity of murderers or the Christian identity of their victims, and who ignored a recent UN session on Christian persecution -- had to say about Christians at the Easter Prayer Breakfast:  "On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian, I am supposed to love.  And I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less than loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned."

This is in keeping with his earlier statements calling on Americans in general, and Christians in particular, to be nonjudgmental and instead to have "humility" and "doubt" themselves. For example, during the National Prayer Breakfast last February, after Obama alluded to the atrocities committed by the Islamic State -- which include beheadings, crucifixions, rape, slavery, and immolations -- he said:

I believe there are a few principles that can guide us, particularly those of us who profess to believe. And, first, we should start with some basic humility.  I believe that the starting point of faith is some doubt -- not being so full of yourself and so confident that you are right and that God speaks only to us, and doesn't speak to others, that God only cares about us and doesn't care about others, that somehow we alone are in possession of the truth.

Humility, of course, is a well-recognized Christian virtue.  It is the exact opposite of pride; a modest if not humble opinion of oneself, one's shortcomings.   But what does that -- exercising humility -- have to do with our understanding of Islamic violence and terrorism, which was, after all, the topic Obama was discussing immediately before he began pontificating about humility?  Are we not to judge and condemn Islamic violence -- since we're apparently no better, as the president made clear when he told Christians to get off their "high horse" and remember the Crusades and Inquisition?

Furthermore, while Christian humility encourages self-doubt, it does not encourage doubt concerning right and wrong, good and evil.  The same Christ who advocated humility repeatedly condemned evil behavior, called on people to repent of their sins, and hurled tables in righteous anger.

The point here is that, whenever Obama invokes Christianity and Christian virtues, it is almost always in the context of trying to silence Christians: telling them to "love" more -- that is, to never judge or condemn anything, and instead be doormats ever "turning the other cheek"; telling them to remember the historic "crimes" of other Christians -- even if they are a thousand years old and no crimes at all -- that is, telling Christians not to criticize Islam because they too live in glass houses.

This is the "liberal Christianity" which Obama and others hail, because its chief purpose is to silence Christians from condemning and combatting what are otherwise clear evils. Christians are being persecuted by Muslims all around the world? That's okay, seems to be Obama's response; just turn the other cheek -- have some more "humility" and "doubt," show their persecutors some more "love" -- and everything will be set aright.

Christians strongly oppose Obama across the board

John Merline is reporting that a significant religious divide has opened up in the country. IBD/TIPP polls taken in March and April show that Christians -- including both Protestants and Catholics -- strongly oppose Barack Obama on almost every issue, from his economic policies, to his attempts at a deal with Iran, to his immigration policies. Those Americans without religious affiliation remain enthusiastic supporters.

Interestingly, Catholics and Protestants -- groups sometimes viewed as diverging politically -- are in close agreement on most issues.

One exception is immigration, where 61% of Catholics favor securing the border first over comprehensive reform vs. 46% of Protestants.

Also a surprise is the fact that Catholics give Obama slightly lower approval ratings than Protestants (37% vs. 40%). Protestants, on the other hand, are somewhat more supportive of Israel, the polls found.

Where Obama draws his strongest backing -- across the board -- is from those who claim no religious affiliation at all. Fully 59% of this group approve of the job Obama is doing, for example.

The poll, taken over two months, found that slightly more than half of those surveyed identified themselves as either Protestant or Catholic, while 21% indicated another religion, and 21% said they had no religious affiliation.

Given Obama's trouble with the working class, as shown in a previous IBD/TIPP poll analysis, it seems that Republicans now have a significant opportunity to strengthen their coalition among the growing population of disaffected working class and religious voters.

Catholic Archbishop says the "current White House may be least friendly to religious concerns in our history"

CNSNews is reporting that Archbishop Charles J. Chaput of Philadelphia gave a speech to seminarians in his archdiocese on March 17 in which he examined the threats to religious liberty arising around the world -- including in the United States.

In his speech, the archbishop said: "The current White House may be the least friendly to religious concerns in our history."

He also said: "We need to remember two simple facts. In practice, no law and no constitution can protect religious freedom unless people actually believe and live their faith -- not just at home or in church, but in their public lives. But it's also true that no one can finally take our freedom unless we give it away."

Archbishop Chaput doesn't have it quite right. The current White House may be least friendly to religious concerns in our history -- with exception.

The current White House is the most friendly to Islam and the concerns of Muslims in our history.

Obama's self-professed "confusion" about Islamic terror

Raymond Ibrahim says that during the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month, Barack Obama tried to shield Islam from criticism by depicting Christianity as equally violent and intolerant (via comments about crusades, inquisitions, and "high horses"). Much lesser known is that he also tried to shield Islam by invoking Christian virtues.

In many ways, his comments on "humility" might be the strangest of his entire speech -- to the point that Obama himself got visibly confused, and admitted it, by his own lack of coherency.

The transcript of the portion in question follows, interspersed with my comments and observations.

Said Obama:

So this [Islamic State type violence] is not unique to one group or one religion.  There is a tendency in us, a sinful tendency that can pervert and distort our faith.  In today's world, when hate groups have their own Twitter accounts and bigotry can fester in hidden places in cyberspace, it can be even harder to counteract such intolerance. But God compels us to try.  And in this mission, I believe there are a few principles that can guide us, particularly those of us who profess to believe.

Two important points here to establish context for what follows: 1) Obama is referring to the atrocities being committed by the Islamic State -- the beheadings, crucifixions, rape slavery, immolations -- which he claims are common to all religions; 2) By invoking "God" and offering principles to "those of us who profess to believe" -- a phrase he stressed in the video -- Obama is clearly addressing American Christians in particular.

Continues Obama:

And, first, we should start with some basic humility.  I believe that the starting point of faith is some doubt -- not being so full of yourself and so confident that you are right and that God speaks only to us, and doesn't speak to others, that God only cares about us and doesn't care about others, that somehow we alone are in possession of the truth.

These are surely some strange remarks in the context of this speech. Obama calls on Americans in general and Christians in particular to exercise some "humility" and "doubt" -- and he treats the two as interchangeable in meaning, which they most certainly are not.

Humility, of course, is a well-recognized Christian virtue. It is the exact opposite of pride; a modest if not humble opinion of oneself, one's shortcomings.   But what does that -- exercising humility -- have to do with our understanding of Islamic violence and terrorism, which is, after all, the topic under discussion? Are we not to judge and condemn it -- since we're apparently no better, a reiteration of Obama's "high horse" comment earlier?

Furthermore, while Christian humility encourages self-doubt, it does not encourage doubt concerning right and wrong, good and evil. The same Christ advocated humility repeatedly condemned evil behavior and called on people to repent of their sins.

Finally, what exactly are we supposed to "doubt" -- that the Islamic State is evil? That they too "are in possession of the truth"?

Due to the incoherency of this speech, Obama himself eventually crashed on his own words and was left dumbfounded for a few seconds -- six long and awkward seconds to be precise:

Our job is not to ask that God respond to our notion of truth -- our job is to be true to Him, His word, and His commandments.  And we should assume humbly that [six-second pause] … we're confused and don't always know what we're doing …

Be sure to watch the video (around the 11-minute mark) where it is clear that Obama's own contradictory comments cause him to pause for an inordinate amount of time before he concludes that "we're confused" -- apparently a subconscious reference to himself.

If Obama truly believed that "our job is to be true to Him, His word, and His commandments" -- assuming of course "He" is God of the Bible, not Allah of the Koran -- then he would be speaking truth, calling a spade a spade, and coming to the aid of those countless innocents being slaughtered, raped, and enslaved by the Islamic State and in the name of Islam -- just as the Crusaders did one-thousand years ago (only to be demonized today, especially by Obama).

In short, just as Obama misrepresented episodes from Christian history to exonerate Islamic terror during the National Prayer Breakfast, so too did he misrepresent Christian virtues like humility to create doubt and moral confusion concerning Islamic terror.

And in the end, it was he -- Barack Obama -- who was left confused by his own nonjudgmental relativism, or nonsense.

America's most Biblically-hostile U. S. president

David Barton says when one observes Barack Obama's unwillingness to accommodate America's four-century long religious conscience protection through his attempts to require Catholics to go against their own doctrines and beliefs, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Catholic. But that characterization would not be correct. Although he has recently singled out Catholics, he has equally targeted traditional Protestant beliefs over the past four years. So since he has attacked Catholics and Protestants, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Christian. But that, too, would be inaccurate. He has been equally disrespectful in his appalling treatment of religious Jews in general and Israel in particular. So perhaps the most accurate description of his antipathy toward Catholics, Protestants, religious Jews, and the Jewish nation would be to characterize him as anti-Biblical. And then when his hostility toward Biblical people of faith is contrasted with his preferential treatment of Muslims and Muslim nations, it further strengthens the accuracy of the anti-Biblical descriptor. In fact, there have been numerous clearly documented times when his pro-Islam positions have been the cause of his anti-Biblical actions.

Listed below in chronological order are (1) numerous records of his attacks on Biblical persons or organizations; (2) examples of the hostility toward Biblical faith that have become evident in the past three years in the Obama-led military; (3) a listing of his open attacks on Biblical values; and finally (4) a listing of numerous incidents of his preferential deference for Islam's activities and positions, including letting his Islamic advisors guide and influence his hostility toward people of Biblical faith.

1. Acts of hostility toward people of Biblical faith:

    • December 2009-Present -- The annual White House Christmas cards, rather than focusing on Christmas or faith, instead highlight things such as the family dogs. And the White House Christmas tree ornaments include figures such as Mao Tse-Tung and a drag queen. [1]
    • June 2013 -- The Obama Department of Justice defunds a Young Marines chapter in Louisiana because their oath mentioned God, and another youth program because it permits a voluntary student-led prayer. [2]
    • February 2013 -- The Obama Administration announces that the rights of religious conscience for individuals will not be protected under the Affordable Care Act. [3]
    • January 2013 -- Pastor Louie Giglio is pressured to remove himself from praying at the inauguration after it is discovered he once preached a sermon supporting the Biblical definition of marriage. [4]
    • February 2012 -- The Obama administration forgives student loans in exchange for public service, but announces it will no longer forgive student loans if the public service is related to religion. [5]
    • January 2012 -- The Obama administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis. [6]
    • December 2011 -- The Obama administration denigrates other countries' religious beliefs as an obstacle to radical homosexual rights. [7]
    • November 2011 -- President Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt's famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial. [8]
    • November 2011 -- Unlike previous presidents, Obama studiously avoids any religious references in his Thanksgiving speech. [9]
    • August 2011 -- The Obama administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception. [10]
    • April 2011 -- For the first time in American history, Obama urges passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus eliminating conscience protection in hiring. [11]
    • February 2011 -- Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress. [12]
    • January 2011 -- After a federal law was passed to transfer a WWI Memorial in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama administration refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law, and refused to allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court. [13]
    • November 2010 -- Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law. [14]
    • October 19, 2010 -- Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence -- an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions. [15]
    • May 2009 -- Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House. [16]
    • April 2009 -- When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus' name be covered when he is making his speech. [17]
    • April 2009 -- In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three. [18]
    • February 2009 -- Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011. [19]
    • April 2008 -- Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren't like them.” [20]

2. Acts of hostility from the Obama-led military toward people of Biblical faith:

    • June 2014 -- Official U. S. government personnel, both civilian and military, in Bahrain (a small Arabic nation near Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran) must wear clothing that facilitates the religious observance of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. [21]
    • March 2014 -- Maxell Air Force Base suddenly bans Gideons from handing out Bibles to willing recruits, a practice that had been occurring for years previously. [22]
    • December 2013 -- A naval facility required that two nativity scenes -- scenes depicting the event that caused Christmas to be declared a national federal holiday -- be removed from the base dining hall and be confined to the base chapel, thus disallowing the open public acknowledgment of this national federal holiday. [23]
    • December 2013 -- An Air Force base that allowed various public displays ordered the removal of one simply because it contained religious content. [24]
    • October 2013 -- A counter-intelligence briefing at Fort Hood tells soldiers that evangelical Christians are a threat to Americans and that for a soldier to donate to such a group “was punishable under military regulations.” [25]
    • October 2013 -- Catholic priests hired to serve as military chaplains are prohibited from performing Mass services at base chapels during the government financial shutdown. When they offered to freely do Mass for soldiers, without regard to whether or not the chaplains were receiving pay, they are still denied permission to do so. [26]
    • October 2013 -- The Air Force Academy, in response to a complaint from Mikey Weinstein's Military Religious Freedom Foundation, makes "so help me God" optional in cadets' honor oath. [27]
    • August 2013 -- A Department of Defense military training manual teaches soldiers that people who talk about "individual liberties, states' rights, and how to make the world a better place" are "extremists." It also lists the Founding Fathers -- those "colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule" -- as examples of those involved in "extremist ideologies and movements." [28]
    • August 2013 -- A Senior Master Sergeant was removed from his position and reassigned because he told his openly lesbian squadron commander that she should not punish a staff sergeant who expressed his views in favor of traditional marriage. [29]
    • August 2013 -- The military does not provide heterosexual couples specific paid leave to travel to a state just for the purpose of being married, but it did extend these benefits to homosexual couples who want to marry, thus giving them preferential treatment not available to heterosexuals. [30]
    • August 2013 -- The Air Force, in the midst of having launched a series of attacks against those expressing traditional religious or moral views, invited a drag queen group to perform at a base. [31]
    • July 2013 -- When an Air Force sergeant with years of military service questioned a same-sex marriage ceremony performed at the Air Force Academy's chapel, he received a letter of reprimand telling him that if he disagreed, he needed to get out of the military. His current six-year reenlistment was then reduced to only one-year, with the notification that he "be prepared to retire at the end of this year." [32]
    • July 2013 -- An Air Force chaplain who posted a website article on the importance of faith and the origin of the phrase "There are no atheists in foxholes" was officially ordered to remove his post because some were offended by the use of that famous World War II phrase. [33]
    • June 2013 -- The U. S. Air Force, in consultation with the Pentagon, removed an inspirational painting that for years has been hanging at Mountain Home Air Force Base because its title was "Blessed Are The Peacemakers" -- a phrase from Matthew 5:9 in the Bible. [34]
    • June 2013 -- The Obama administration “strongly objects” to a Defense Authorization amendment to protect the constitutionally-guaranteed religious rights of soldiers and chaplains, claiming that it would have an “adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment.” [35]
    • June 2013 -- At a joint base in New Jersey, a video was made, based on a Super Bowl commercial, to honor First Sergeants. It stated: “On the eighth day, God looked down on His creation and said, ‘I need someone who will take care of the Airmen.' So God created a First Sergeant.” Because the video mentioned the word “God,” the Air Force required that it be taken down. [36]
    • June 2013 -- An Army Master Sergeant is reprimanded, threatened with judicial action, and given a bad efficiency report, being told he was “no longer a team player,” because he voiced his support of traditional marriage at his own promotion party. [37]
    • May 2013 -- The Pentagon announces that "Air Force members are free to express their personal religious beliefs as long as it does not make others uncomfortable. "Proselytizing (inducing someone to convert to one's faith) goes over that line," [38] affirming if a sharing of faith makes someone feel uncomfortable that it could be a court-marital offense [39] -- the military equivalent of a civil felony.

    • April 2013 -- The U.S. Army directs troops to scratch off and paint over tiny Scripture verse references that for decades had been forged into weapon scopes. [42]
    • April 2013 -- The Air Force creates a "religious tolerance" policy but consults only a militant atheist group to do so -- a group whose leader has described military personnel who are religious as 'spiritual rapists' and 'human monsters' [43] and who also says that soldiers who proselytize are guilty of treason and sedition and should be punished to hold back a "tidal wave of fundamentalists." [44]
    • January 2013 -- President Obama announced his opposition to a provision in the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act protecting the rights of conscience for military chaplains. [45]
    • June 2012 -- Bibles for the American military have been printed in every conflict since the American Revolution, but the Obama Administration revokes the long-standing U. S. policy of allowing military service emblems to be placed on those military Bibles. [46]
    • May 2012 -- The Obama administration opposed legislation to protect the rights of conscience for military chaplains who do not wish to perform same-sex marriages in violation of their strongly-held religious beliefs. [47]
    • April 2012 -- A checklist for Air Force Inns will no longer include ensuring that a Bible is available in rooms for those who want to use them. [48]

    •  November 2011 -- President Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt's famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial. [53]
    • November 2011 -- Even while restricting and disapprobating Christian religious expressions, the Air Force Academy pays $80,000 to add a Stonehenge-like worship center for pagans, druids, witches and Wiccans at the Air Force Academy. [54]
    • September 2011 -- Air Force Chief of Staff prohibits commanders from notifying airmen of programs and services available to them from chaplains. [55]
    • September 2011 -- The Army issues guidelines for Walter Reed Medical Center stipulating that “No religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading materials and/or facts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit.” [56]
    • August 2011 -- The Air Force stops teaching the Just War theory to officers in California because the course is taught by chaplains and is based on a philosophy introduced by St. Augustine in the third century AD -- a theory long taught by civilized nations across the world (except now, America). [57]
    • June 2011 -- The Department of Veterans Affairs forbids references to God and Jesus during burial ceremonies at Houston National Cemetery. [58]
    • January 2010 -- Because of "concerns" raised by the Department of Defense, tiny Bible verse references that had appeared for decades on scopes and gunsights were removed. [59]

3. Acts of hostility toward Biblical values:

    • March 2014 -- The Obama administration seeks funding for every type of sex-education -- except that which reflects traditional moral values. [60]
    • August 2013 -- Non-profit charitable hospitals, especially faith-based ones, will face large fines or lose their tax-exempt status if they don't comply with new strangling paperwork requirements related to giving free treatment to poor clients who do not have Obamacare insurance coverage. [61] Ironically, the first hospital in America was founded as a charitable institution in 1751 by Benjamin Franklin, and its logo was the Good Samaritan, with Luke 10:35 inscribed below him: "Take care of him, and I will repay thee," being designed specifically to offer free medical care to the poor. [62] Benjamin Franklin's hospital would likely be fined unless he placed more resources and funds into paperwork rather than helping the poor under the new faith-hostile policy of the Obama administration.
    • August 2013 -- USAID, a federal government agency, shut down a conference in South Korea the night before it was scheduled to take place because some of the presentations were not pro-abortion but instead presented information on abortion complications, including the problems of "preterm births, mental health issues, and maternal mortality" among women giving birth who had previous abortions. [63]
    • June 2013 -- The Obama Administration finalizes requirements that under the Obamacare insurance program, employers must make available abortion-causing drugs, regardless of the religious conscience objections of many employers and even despite the directive of several federal courts to protect the religious conscience of employers. [64]
    • April 2013 -- The United States Agency for Internal Development (USAID), an official foreign policy agency of the U.S. government, begins a program to train homosexual activists in various countries around the world to overturn traditional marriage and anti-sodomy laws, targeting first those countries with strong Catholic influences, including Ecuador, Honduras, and Guatemala. [65]
    • December 2012 -- Despite having campaigned to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, President Obama once again suspends the provisions of the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 which requires the United States to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move the American Embassy there. [66]
    • July 2012 -- The Pentagon, for the first time, allows service members to wear their uniforms while marching in a parade -- specifically, a gay pride parade in San Diego. [67]

    • May 2009 -- The White House budget eliminates all funding for abstinence-only education and replaces it with “comprehensive” sexual education, repeatedly proven to increase teen pregnancies and abortions. [78] He continues the deletion in subsequent budgets. [79]

    • March 2009 -- The Obama administration shut out pro-life groups from attending a White House-sponsored health care summit. [81]

    • January 2009 -- President Obama's nominee for deputy secretary of state asserts that American taxpayers are required to pay for abortions and that limits on abortion funding are unconstitutional. [85]

4. Acts of preferentialism for Islam:

    • February 2012 -- The Obama administration makes effulgent apologies for Korans being burned by the U. S. military, [86] but when Bibles were burned by the military, numerous reasons were offered why it was the right thing to do. [87]
    • October 2011 -- Obama's Muslim advisers block Middle Eastern Christians' access to the White House. [88]
    • August 2010 -- Obama speaks with great praise of Islam and condescendingly of Christianity. [89]
    • August 2010 -- Obama went to great lengths to speak out on multiple occasions on behalf of building an Islamic mosque at Ground Zero, while at the same time he was silent about a Christian church being denied permission to rebuild at that location. [90]
    • April 2010 -- Christian leader Franklin Graham is disinvited from the Pentagon's National Day of Prayer Event because of complaints from the Muslim community. [91]
    • April 2010 -- The Obama administration requires rewriting of government documents and a change in administration vocabulary to remove terms that are deemed offensive to Muslims, including jihad, jihadists, terrorists, radical Islamic, etc. [92]
    • May 2009 -- While Obama does not host any National Day of Prayer event at the White House, he does host White House Iftar dinners in honor of Ramadan. [93]
    • 2010 -- While every White House traditionally issues hundreds of official proclamations and statements on numerous occasions, this White House avoids traditional Biblical holidays and events but regularly recognizes major Muslim holidays, as evidenced by its 2010 statements on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha. [94]

Many of these actions are literally unprecedented -- this is the first time they have happened in four centuries of American history. The hostility of Barack Obama toward Biblical faith and values is without equal from any previous American president.

Genocide is unfolding in Middle East

ISIS is not killing Muslims.  ISIS is killing "apostates" -- as the Quran dictates. The Jordanian pilot, in the eyes of ISIS, was an apostate and deserving of death.

The Quran dictates the killing of kafir (infidels). That's every human on earth that's not a Muslim.

Defenders of Islam point to the fact that the Quran stipulates that a Muslim may not kill an "innocent," but according to the same Quran, only observant Muslims are "innocent."

Obama has been Islam's lawyer for years.  Lately he's been acting as a committed apologist for all things Islamic.

He refuses to publicly admit that what is happening in the Middle east has anything to do with Islam.

He's brought Muslim Brothers into his administration.

He has big White House celebrations for Eid and Ramadam.

He ignores Easter, except for the Easter Egg Hunt on the White House lawn, and ignores Christmas, except for the lighting of the Christmas Tree -- both non-religious celebrations.

And recently, Obama has become an outspoken critic of all things Christian.

Obama may not be a "observant" Muslim, but he is most definitely a "cultural" Muslim -- and the man is no Christian -- no matter what he or his propagandists say.

Were these people not Christians?

Keith Koffler is reporting that the White House Sunday issued a statement condemning the barbaric beheadings of more than a dozen Egyptian Coptic Christians, but somehow the statement failed to note that that they were killed because they were Christian -- or even that they were Christian at all.

The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptian citizens in Libya by ISIS-affiliated terrorists. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and our support to the Egyptian government and people as they grieve for their fellow citizens.

ISIS's barbarity knows no bounds. It is unconstrained by faith, sect, or ethnicity. This wanton killing of innocents is just the most recent of the many vicious acts perpetrated by ISIS-affiliated terrorists against the people of the region, including the murders of dozens of Egyptian soldiers in the Sinai, which only further galvanizes the international community to unite against ISIS.

Obama's determination to portray Islamist terrorism as merely "extremism" untethered from any religious motivation has now crossed the line from absurdity into profound offensiveness. These people died, horrifyingly, because of their religion. They are martyrs. But not, apparently, in the view of the White House.

Also deeply offensive is that the killings did not rate a "presidential" statement. The statement above was issued by the press secretary, a determination that is calculated based on what the White House perceives as its importance.

Clearly, this is part of Obama's effort to minimize the threat from Islamist terror. It also may reflect his hostility toward Egypt's president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who overthrew the Islamist revolution in Egypt that Obama supported and who has made clear that part of what is animating Islamist extremism comes from within Islam, and that Muslim religious leaders need to reform their practices.

The statement, furthermore, is inaccurate. ISIS is not "unstrained by faith, sect or ethnicity." While it involves many sects and ethnicities, it features only one religion: Islam.

The sources of Islamist extremism must be combated from within Islam and from without, by the United States  and its allies. But if the problem is not understood, it will never be eradicated.

Here's someone who understands the threat. I've never seem Giuliani so passionate. "What is wrong with out president?" he demands to know.

ISIS releases video of mass beheading of Egyptian Coptic Christians

Update: 02/15/15: White House says it condemns "despicable and cowardly murder" of 21 Egyptian citizens in Libya by Islamic State-affiliated militants -- @Reuters

Obama still doesn’t understand this is more than a cowardly murder.

Sara Noble is reporting that a group identifying themselves as the Tripoli Province of the Islamic State released a video Sunday night showing several men in orange jumpsuits being led to a beach, each with a masked militant. They were made to kneel as one of the savages addressed the camera in English. They were then beheaded one-by-one.

The victims are the 21 kidnapped Coptic Christians who were working as migrants in Sirte, Libya when captured in December.

Last Thursday, alleged pictures of the abductees went viral on social media after they were published by a magazine affiliated with the Islamic State fighters. They were clad in orange, a color usually signaling the captives' death sentence by the group.

The Coptic church has confirmed the slaughter. Much of the video can be seen at LiveLeak or at Press TV -- the Iranian-sponsored media.

SooperMexican says that right after the ISIS beheading video, Obama demanded an emergency UN meeting -- oh! -- no -- wait -- that was Egypt's president.

Obama was enjoying another golf outing with the boys in Palm Springs and his only comment was "fore!"

Remember, Libya was where Hillary Clinton demanded action to change the regime, because Qaddafi was being way too friendly with us. So now it belongs to terrorists:

And now, she's the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential candidacy, because "at this point, what does it matter?"

Today, Pope Francis condemned the murder of 21 Coptic Christians hostages in Libya by militants affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS), according to a Vatican Radio report.

"The blood of our Christian brothers is a witness that cries out," he told a delegation from Scotland on Monday. "If they are Catholic, Orthodox, Copts, Lutherans, it is not important: They are Christians. The blood is the same: It is the blood which confesses Christ."

And here's something you don't see every day.

CBS News host questioned a top aide to Obama over his commitment to defeating Islamic State terrorists . . .

. . . and even went so far as to ask whether Obama even cared?

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough responded with the usual Team Obama bullshit.

Whadya spect?

No room in America for Christian refugees

Abraham H. Miller says at the end of World War II, the Jewish survivors of Europe's Holocaust found that nearly every door was closed to them. "Tell Me Where Can I Go?" was a popular Yiddish song at the time. Decades later, the Christians of the Middle East face the same problem, and the Obama administration is keeping the door shut.

America is about to accept 9000 Syrian Muslims, refugees of the brutal war between the Assad regime and its Sunni opposition, which includes ISIS, Al Qaeda, and various other militias. That number is predicted to increase each year.  There are no Christian refugees that will be admitted.
Why? Because the Department of State is adhering with all the rigidity of a Soviet era bureaucracy to the rule that only people at risk from massacres launched by the regime qualify for refugee status. The rapes of Christian women and the butchery of Christian children do not count. No matter how moved Americans were this Christmas season by the plight of their fellow Christ followers in Syria and Iraq, no matter how horrific the visuals of beheadings, enslavement, and mass murder, the Christians fleeing death do not engender the compassion of Barack Obama.

The Christians are being raped, tortured, and murdered by militias, not by the Syrian government. This technicality condemns them to continue to be victims without hope. And this technicality is being adhered to with all the tenacity with which President Franklin D. Roosevelt's State Department manipulated quotas and created subterfuges to keep out the Jews fleeing the oppression of Nazi Germany. Obama no more wants the Middle East's Christian refugees than Roosevelt wanted Europe's Jewish refugees.

We have seen in the last several weeks that Obama has no difficulty using his "phone and his pen," as he dramatically boasts, to circumvent the law. When it comes to immigration, he had no difficulty enacting an amnesty that a federal judge  subsequently ruled unconstitutional. He has had no problem circumventing Congress to change the relationship with Cuba. This president has shown that he will push back on the constraints of law when he wants to get something done.

But there are not even such constraints when it comes to the Middle East's Christians fleeing the brutality of ISIS and al-Qaeda. The Department of State chooses to adhere to a definition of refugees as people persecuted by their own government. What difference does it make which army imperils the lives of innocent Christians?  Christians are still be slaughtered for being Christian, and their government is incapable of protecting them. Does some group have to come along -- as Jewish groups did during the Holocaust -- and sardonically guarantee that these are real human beings?

The Christians would barely have to be vetted for ties to terror organizations, which by their very nature do not take Christians. Meanwhile, there is the uncomfortable issue that among the Sunni refugees there are some in league with the Sunni terror militias. And beyond that there is the equally uncomfortable question of the acculturation of segments of the Muslim community.

That our Muslim neighbors are as worthy of being good Americans as anyone else is not an issue. That a highly active and prominent minority in the Muslim community seeks to transform America is an issue and one that cannot be overlooked, when taking in Muslim refugees. Will they be vetted for seeking the transformation of America through jihad?

Whether the recent violence in Australia, the murder of two New York policemen, the Boston Marathon bombings, the growing list of victims of honor killings in Western societies, the forced closing of streets in Manhattan for Muslim prayers, the Muslim no-go and Sharia patrol areas of Britain, the rape of infidel women in Sweden, or the call by Council on Islamic American Relations that Islam is not in America to be another religion but to transform America, there is a Muslim problem. That it is not a problem precipitated by a majority of Muslims does not lessen its dangers.

No doubt the majority of the Muslim refugees will become good American citizens, but the real concern is that a significant minority will not. Yet, the Middle East Christians, even as a minority, do not pose remotely the same kind of threat.

With Christmas fresh in our minds, it is time for all people of good will to say to the Obama administration that telling Christians awaiting death that there is no room for them in the inn is not only unacceptable, it is also, to use President Obama's own words, "not who we are." This season, Christians  need to make their voice heard. They should not act as the Jews did, waiting for a president who had no intention of doing anything, to do something.

Powerful video on importance of religion in a democracy

Clay Christensen, the Harvard Business school professor who has been ranked the number one management thinker in the world two years in a row, is the speaker in this 90-second video that champions the vital role of the Judeo-Christian heritage in a democracy.

And that vital role is why progressive Marxists attack religion.

The Italian Marxist, Antonio Gramsci's "quiet revolution" -- the revolution of the progressive -- is one that could be diffused throughout a culture, over a period of time, to destroy it from within.  Since the civilized world had been thoroughly saturated with Christianity for 2,000 years, a culture based on this religion could only be captured from within. Applying psychology to break these Judeo-Christian traditions, beliefs, morals, and ultimately, the will of a people, could be accomplished quietly and without the possibility of resistance.

Gramsci insisted that alliances of leftist groups would be essential to victory.  These would include radical feminist groups, extremist environmental organizations, so-called civil rights movements, homosexual activists, anti-police associations, internationalist-minded groups, liberal church denominations, and others.  Working together, these groups could create a united front working for the destructive transformation of the Judeo-Christian culture of the West.

By winning "cultural hegemony," Gramsci pointed out that they could control the deepest wellsprings of human thought through the medium of mass psychology.  Indeed, men could be made to "love their servitude."

In terms of the gospel of the Frankfurt School, resistance to cultural Marxism could be completely negated by placing the resister in a psychic iron cage. The tools of mass psychology could be applied to produce this result -- and the principal tool is political correctness.
