Is DoJ "community organizing" Occupy activists at the RNC?

Rebel Pundit asks what are uniformed field representatives of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Community Relations Service (CRS) doing assisting Occupy/anarchist activists outside the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Tampa?
 
Exclusive video captured by Breitbart News during Occupy/anarchist demonstrations outside the RNC Tuesday shows CRS field representatives, wearing DOJ logo polo shirts and hats, conversing with Occupy protesters.
 
In one case, a CRS representative and protester are seen to high-five each other.
 
CRS representatives are also seen relaying specific instructions to the activists about the location of prearranged buses that were apparently taking them to their next scheduled demonstration.

CRS’s mission, as expressed on its website, is to be a “‘peacemaker’ for community conflicts and tensions.” CRS was created as part of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as a conflict resolution body dealing specifically with community uprisings over racial issues. Its jurisdiction was later expanded as part of The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, signed into law by President Obama, which lists the areas in which the CRS can act as including issues of "race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or disability."
 
The purpose of CRS is to mediate in ongoing disputes--not to foment them, or to become participants. However, there is evidence that the Obama administration may be using CRS as a quiet community organizing force.
 
In April, Breitbart News' Lee Stranahan reported that CRS had helped shape public opinion around the Trayvon Martin case. Building upon reports in the Orlando Sentinel, Stranahan pointed out that CRS representatives may have had "direct involvement" in forcing out Sanford, FL sheriff Bill Lee.
 
A spokesman for the agency told Breitbart News today that CRS field representatives are supposed to “remain neutral.” When asked if it is appropriate for one of the agents to high-five a demonstrator, he said, “If someone wanted to come up and shake your hand, wouldn’t you do it?....Their job is to keep things safe and nonviolent,” he added.
 
In what sense do the Occupy/Anarchist protesters fall under the Hate Crimes jurisdiction set forth by law? What were they doing at protests against the RNC? And were they requested by local law enforcement officials, or there on the DOJ’s behalf?
 
It appears that CRS may be expanding its presence not only in its numbers, but also perhaps beyond its jurisdiction.

As this article went to press, Breitbart News received the following statement from DOJ officials:

Personnel from the U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Service (CRS) are currently present in Tampa, Fla., during the Republican National Convention, and will also be present next week in Charlotte, N.C., during the Democratic National Convention. CRS has had a prior presence  in cities who have hosted major party conventions, including in 2000, 2004 and 2008, to help facilitate solutions to potential disputes that may arise during the conventions. Acting as an impartial third-party, CRS works closely with community-based organizations, civil and human rights organizations, local governments and law enforcement officials and provides various forms of mediation and conciliation services to help alleviate any tensions that occur.

Lt. General William Boykin (retired) told TruNews Radio Tuesday that the U.S. economy of the United States “is just about the break” and collapse.  And when the dam gives way, severe food shortages and pervasive violence throughout America will warrant, in his opinion, an executive declaration of martial law.
 
“I’ll be very honest with you; the situation in America could be such that martial law is actually warranted, and that situation in my view could occur if we had an economic collapse,” said Boykin, a former CIA Deputy Director of Special Activities.
 
“The dam is just about to break on our economy, and I think when it does, there’s going to be a major disruption of the distribution of food,” he added. “And I think what you’ll see particularly in the inner cities is you will see riots, civil unrest that ultimately might justify martial law.”
 
Though the U.S. is the world’s largest exporter of agriculture, in the case of a currency collapse, producers will withhold shipments to retailers and consumers unable to pay in a currency other than U.S. dollars.  For a time, barter will take the place of currency for those living in rural areas, but for the majority of Americans living in cities and adjacent suburbs, food shortages can emerge within 24 hours.
 
“I think those people that are not in the major cities are going to be far better off, but it could actually justify martial law,” Boykin continued.  “And I’m praying that we will not see that kind of collapse, we won’t see a disruption of the distribution of food in America.  That’s probably the single biggest problem.”
 
Recommendations by “prepper” organizations and a handful of governments (as in the case of Utah and some municipalities) to include storing enough nonperishable food to last a month to 90 days have become commonplace during the four-year-long economic recession, as the history of currency collapses throughout the world demonstrate that for a meaningful period of time food will not be available at grocery stores, food pantries and other collective emergency food supplies.
 
Recent examples of food shortages due to rapid currency devaluations include Argentina in 2002; Cuba, following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1989; and in Zimbabwe during its currency collapse of the late 2000s.
 
Although, the U.S. is not expected to match Zimbabwe in intensity and duration of inflation (89 sextillion percent in 2008), all nations undergo a period of profound dislocation of commerce during a currency devaluation, which may range from as little as several weeks to several months.  At that time, food becomes the king of all commodities while government reestablishes a new workable currency to reestablish normal commerce once again.
 
“If people can eat, they can survive for some period of time while we get through the economic crisis and reestablish currency, and systems, and all that,” said Boykin.  “But if they can’t eat, you know, they’re going to fight.  And that’s my big concern.”
 
From his intelligence, as well as from numerous publicly-available anecdotal testimonies and leaked government documents, the U.S. military has been preparing with local law enforcement for a coming crisis.  Boykin strongly advises the public to make preparations for the most likely scenario of a coming breakdown of the food distribution channels in America during a dollar collapse.
 
“For me, I have three months of food stored.  I have a bunch of other essentials that I have stored in my home,” he said.  “And my wife and I are preparing for this.
 
“Now a lot of people call us, you know, foolish, for that kind of attitude,” he added.  “But I would tell you that I’m not going to be unprepared, and I think people should be prepared now for some disruption. Ex-Time editor: Democrat Party is a "criminal organization"

Chelsea Schilling is reporting that the entire history of the Democratic Party is one of crime and corruption, according to former Time magazine associate editor Michael Walsh.

In a radio interview with WND's Greg Corombos, Walsh provides a detailed analysis of the party's dark past -- from Aaron Burr's building of Tammany Hall and how Democrats tried to defeat Abraham Lincoln's re-election bid to Franklin Roosevelt's rise to the presidency and the Chicago machine connected to the Obama administration.
 
"What distinguishes them is a real desire to win," he explained. "They're the oldest party in the country obviously. ...
 
"They've stayed because they know how to win, and they're willing to change at the drop of a hat. They're willing to change their policies. They've gone from being the party of slavery and segregation to now claiming to be the party of civil rights laws passed in '64 and '65, when, in fact, those were passed with greater Republican support than Democrat support. But they're always mutating and trying to grab the moral high ground. And it seems to me they don't have any moral high ground."
 
Walsh detailed what he believes is a history of corruption in the Democratic Party, going all the way back to Aaron Burr.
 
"He founded Tammany Hall, which turned into, over the course of its 150-year existence, the prototypical big-city political machine: corrupt, in league with the most violent gangsters in New York during its heyday and the source of patronage and power on which the Democratic Party rests," Walsh explained.
 
He said the Democratic Party's win-at-all-cost attitude led to the creation of political machines that ran big-city politics for years.
 
"I think what's interesting about the Roosevelt era -- if you go back to the '20s and '30s when you have basically Hoover and Roosevelt -- it's also the time of the great gangster empires in America," he said. "It's when organized crime was really founded. That occurred in 1929 in Atlantic City, when every great gangster from all the ethnic groups came to Atlantic City and they split up the country into zones of influence. But they were very political as well, and the gangsters tended to be Democrats. Except for the Republican mayor of Atlantic City, 'Nucky' Johnson, it's hard to think of a gangster who was not a Democrat. They were very influential in getting Roosevelt nominated.
 
"In 1932, Al Smith had thought he had their allegiance, but they double-crossed him and they thought they'd get off easy with Roosevelt, who then promptly double-crossed the gangsters and sent Tom Dewey after them in the great clean-up of gangs in the '20s and '30s.
 
"But the party has always been in bed with this sort of criminal element, and sometimes a seditious criminal element. That was also true in the Roosevelt administration, where a number of Roosevelt administration officials turned out, subsequently, to have been Soviet agents of influence. Again, it's not a pretty sight."
 
Walsh said President Harry Truman, when he came up in politics in Kansas City, was the bag man for the great criminal Irish gangster who ran the city, Tom Pendergast.
 
"Truman never lost his affection for Pendergast," he said. "Even after he was finally brought to justice and sent to jail, Truman admired him very much."
 
He said the father of John F. Kennedy had been very much in league with gangsters, including Owney Madden, the biggest bootlegger and politically influential gangster in New York City.
 
"There's always this sub current running underneath the Democratic presidents," Walsh said. "The party got seized in 1968 in the streets of Chicago during the riots … and is now basically turned into the McGovern-Alinsky group that runs the country today."
 
In his book, "The People v. the Democratic Party," Walsh writes, "With Obama in office, all Washington is a skating rink on which characters like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd turn triple-Lutzes while their media cronies applaud like the Harvard-trained seals that many of them are."
 
In the WND interview, Walsh indicted his former colleagues in the mainstream media for doing little more than carrying water for their preferred candidates and issues.
 
"What's left of the mainstream media is a pretty hard-core group of leftists whose life's work and ambition is to promote their agenda," he said. "And they're doing a good job of it. It's just that they're losing their influence, and I think they'll continue to lose it as the public realizes they're not playing straight with them anymore."

The Left’s National Vote Fraud Strategy Exposed




This report reveals the Left’s vote fraud strategy for the 2012 elections. Like a KGB operation, it is thorough, multi-faceted and redundant. It has overt and covert, illegal and legal elements, the latter of which are designed, at least in part, to facilitate illegal activities later. It is a deliberate, premeditated, comprehensive plan to win the 2012 presidential election at all costs, and is in keeping with the organizational methods, associations and ethics of the Community-Organizer-in-Chief, Barack Obama.

The Left seeks fundamental structural change to our entire form of government. In keeping with their amoral, means-justifies-ends philosophy, they will register any voters, dead or alive, legal or illegal, who will then vote as many times as possible, in order to establish a “permanent progressive majority.” As two New York Democrats recently caught in a vote fraud scandal told police, “voter fraud is an accepted way of winning elections…”

Low income individuals are the perfect dupes for this strategy. An expanding welfare state makes them increasingly dependent on government benefits, a development that guarantees their vote for liberal-left candidates. At the same time, people with marginal attachment to society may be less inclined to report illegal activity at the polls—or actually participate. The “victim” narrative promoted in popular culture and press may even encourage such behavior. Meanwhile, a growing tax burden and public debt suck private enterprise dry—pushing ever more people onto the dole.

Politicians of both parties are not above engaging in vote fraud. But this kind of corruption is relegated to individual campaigns or areas where corrupt political establishments have been able to develop unchallenged. It is not a systematic component of overall national strategy, as it is with the Left.

This strategy has been under development for decades. They have constructed an entire industry devoted to this task and pursue a multifaceted strategy to accomplish it:

1. Swamp election officials with overwhelming numbers of registrations at the last possible minute, a huge proportion of which are deliberately fraudulent, in order to create systematic chaos. This accomplishes numerous goals:

  • Makes verification of registrations difficult, given the small size and limited budgets of state and local election offices.
  • Provides multiple opportunities for vote fraud.
  • Throws the entire voting process into question, providing pretext for lawsuits where concessions may be obtained from election officials.
  • When election officials challenge registrations, they are accused of “voter suppression.” This in turn serves complementary goals:
    • Charge of “voter suppression” reinforces the Left’s narrative about America as an oppressive, “racist” country.
    • Publicity and lawsuits intimidate election officials, who settle on terms favorable to the Left.

2. Activists sue state authorities for “voter suppression,” creating further chaos and pressuring them to become de facto taxpayer-funded voter registration operations;

3. Eric Holder’s Justice Department tacitly supports voter intimidation tactics, sues states and backs private lawsuits, and resists reform as “voter suppression.”

4. Leftist echo chamber discredits allegations of vote fraud, supports “suppression” theme, and promotes advantageous legislation.

The ultimate goal is a systematized, taxpayer-funded voting machinery that will guarantee maximum participation from the Left’s voting demographic while undermining the ability to manage elections and prevent fraud.

The ACORN Swamping Method

Key to understanding the Left’s vote-fraud strategy is the community organizing group ACORN. ACORN has become synonymous with corruption, complicity in the subprime mortgage crisis and especially vote fraud.

ACORN and its voter registration arm, Project Vote, hire marginal and unskilled workers at very low rates and use incentive bonuses or quotas to encourage them to collect as many voter registrations as possible. The resulting flood of registrations are fraught with duplicates, errors and omissions, and a large number are overtly fraudulent, including names like “Donald Duck,” “Mickey Mouse,” “Tony Romo” of the Dallas Cowboys, etc.[2] According to Matthew Vadum, the senior editor at Capital Research Center, a total of 400,000 bogus ACORN registrations were thrown out in 2008 alone.

ACORN was supposedly disbanded in 2010 but resurrected itself under a slew of new names. Former ACORN President Bertha Lewis bragged that they created “…18 bulletproof community-organizing Frankensteins…” These are reproduced in the table below. Most of these groups occupy former ACORN offices, many with the same staff.

ACORN is directly connected to Obama and the Democratic Party. Counsel to The Advance Group, a strategic planning company, is Michael Gaspard, Patrick Gaspard’s brother. Patrick is currently the DNC’s executive director and President Obama’s former political director. He has worked for ACORN, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Working Families Party, a descendant of the ACORN-founded New Party which Barack Obama joined in 1996. Obama has bragged of “fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career.”

ACORN’s former deputy regional director, Amy Busefink was convicted in 2010 of vote fraud stemming from a 2008 Nevada case. Judicial Watch found that, “while under criminal indictment in Nevada… [Busefink] managed an online program for Project Vote’s 2010 Colorado campaign, the ultimate goal of which is to allow people without a driver’s license or state identification to register to vote online.” Busefink is now national field director for Project Vote.

Barack Obama established his organizing bona fides with Project Vote in 1992, when he registered 150,000 Illinois voters.

Project Vote was created and run for years by Zach Polett, who bragged that he trained Barack Obama in 1992 and said of Obama, “ACORN produces leaders.” Polett is listed in Manta.com as president of Voting for America, one of Project Vote’s former names, although his name is not on Project Vote’s website. Calls to that listing roll into a voice mail identifying the organizations as “CSI.” Polett’s extension is #3. CSI is the acronym for Citizens Services Inc., another supposedly defunct ACORN group that was used to hide over $800,000 paid by candidate Obama to ACORN in 2008.

This kind of duplicitous activity reflects a deliberate methodology. ACORN is a criminal organization.

The Cloward Piven Strategy

ACORN is the face of vote fraud, but its intellectual foundation is the Cloward Piven Strategy. Sociology professors Richard Cloward (Columbia University) and Frances Fox Piven (CUNY) were founding members of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Cloward died in 2001 but Piven lives on.

In 1966 Cloward and Piven penned an article for The Nation magazine titled “The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty.” They posited that if the poor were organized into street armies to demand all welfare benefits available to them, they could overwhelm and crash the system.

It became known as the “Cloward-Piven Strategy,” and is credited with expanding welfare rolls 151 percent between 1965 and 1974 and bringing New York City to the brink of bankruptcy in 1975.

The Issue is Never the Issue

The Left’s solution to everything is socialism, although they are usually careful not to name it, instead identifying issues that seemingly only their policies can redress. But “the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution” as David Horowitz has explained. The “issues” are mere distractions.

Cloward and Piven initially claimed to be agitating for a “guaranteed national income.” Such a policy is plainly unsustainable; however, it would institutionalize their strategy, creating an enormous, permanent drag on the whole economy precipitating an even larger crash later on. Cloward and Piven’s true goal was to find any instrument to institutionalize their orchestrated anarchy, and poor people were the tool.

Wade Rathke, a veteran of those early efforts, was mentored by Cloward and Piven. Rathke and other radicals created a new organization, ACORN,and sought ways to further extend the Strategy.

With passage of the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act, ACORN and other activist groups got in the housing business. They began pushing banks to offer high-risk mortgage loans to low/no income borrowers. The Clinton administration aggressively ramped up the effort. To encourage lenders and investors, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwrote the risk. Since its passage, CRA lending has exceeded $6 trillion.[ii] The mortgage crisis was Cloward-Piven on steroids.[2]

Meanwhile, Cloward and Piven had not been idle. In 1982 they created the Human Service Employees Registration and Voter Education Fund (Human SERVE) to build political momentum for a law that would turn state motor vehicle and welfare agencies into low-income voter registration offices.

Throughout the 1980s, Human SERVE field-tested legal and political strategies to promote this plan. The fruits of its labor were finally realized with “Motor Voter,” the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), signed into law with Cloward and Piven standing directly behind President Clinton.

The NVRA requires motor vehicle, military recruiting, public assistance and other state and local offices to offer voter-registration services.

The NVRA has become a beacon for vote fraud. Its minimal verification requirements opened the door to ACORN-style massive voter registration fraud, and in the confusion provide blanket opportunities for vote fraud.

Voter ID laws have become critically important. According to a Pew report, approximately 24 million or 12.5 percent of voter registrations nationally are either invalid or inaccurate, including about 1.8 million deceased individuals, and 2.75 million with multiple-state registrations.

And while the NRVA has provisions for purging the rolls in Section 8, they require a complex, process spanning multiple election cycles. In some cases, the NRVA replaced better mechanisms already in use. Many states have simply not followed these procedures with any regularity. The Left ignores all this, focusing on enforcing NRVA’s Section 7.

Section 7 Lawsuits

While capitalizing on the vote fraud swamping strategy enabled by the NVRA, ACORN, Project Vote and others sue states that don’t aggressively execute the voter registration activities required by Section 7 of the law. The narrative is always “voter suppression,” and settlements have forced state agencies to become de facto low income voter registration drives.

Not only must states develop, maintain and execute plans for assuring comprehensive registration, they are forced to report regularly to ACORN lawyers. A 2009 settlement between ACORN and Missouri’s Department of Social Services is illustrative. DSS must:

  • Create an NVRA State Coordinator position
  • Designate an NVRA Site Coordinator for Family Support Division offices
  • Keep detailed records of client visits and registration activities
  • Immediately send a letter offering registration to any individual who “may not have been given the opportunity to register…”
  • Report detailed compliance data to plaintiff lawyers every month.
  • State coordinator’s performance measured by NVRA compliance
  • ACORN will receive $450,000 in settlement.

In these settlements, ACORN effectively assumes an executive role over state agencies. Notably, there is no corollary requirement to ascertain the legality of registrations or to clean up the rolls.

Project Vote has taken recent actions against Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, and New Mexico. They just announced their intention to sue Pennsylvania.

Project Vote formed agreements with Colorado in 2008 and 2010. According to Judicial Watch, after Project Vote’s involvement “the percentage of invalid voter registration forms from Colorado public assistance agencies was four times the national average.”

Though largely unnoticed until now, this litigation tactic has been used since the 1980s, when Human SERVE’s legal allies sued state authorities for settlements creating localized versions of Motor Voter.

While capitalizing on the vote swamping strategy enabled by Motor Voter, ACORN and Project Vote picked up the torch for SERVE, which closed its doors in 2000. Frances Fox Piven serves today on Project Vote’s Board of Directors. Significantly, President Obama has named the voter registration initiative of his reelection effort “Project Vote.”

Piven also has many other connections to Obama. She was a founding member of Progressives for Obama. Her Democratic Socialists of America bragged that it was responsible for the success of Obama’s “ground game” in 2008. Piven was one of 130 founding members of the radical left Campaign for America’s Future. Many CAF members also sit on the board of the Apollo Alliance, the executor of Obama’s “Green” jobs initiative.

DOJ and ACORN Team Up for 2012

Judicial Watch obtained several documents showing coordination between DOJ, Project Vote and the White House.[i] In one email, Project Vote demanded action on NVRA cases. Less than a month later, DOJ sued Rhode Island for NVRA noncompliance. Similarly, DOJ’s Louisiana NVRA suit followed Project Vote’s by a few months. Project Vote is promoting prospective employees for DOJ’s Voting Rights section.

Voting Rights Act of 1965

The VRA outlawed poll taxes and literacy tests for voting. Section 5 requires certain states and other political subdivisions to obtain “preclearance,” or permission, from either DOJ or the U.S. District Court in Washington, DC, on any change affecting voting. Currently, preclearance states covered in whole or in part include: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Virginia. Set in 1982 to expire in 2007, Congress extended the VRA for another 25 years in 2006.

The VRA has come into sharp focus this year as the Holder administration has used VRA preclearance requirements to stall or prevent voter ID laws from being enacted. Non-preclearance states have faced stiff court challenges from other leftist groups.

Alabama – Alabama’s new photo ID law has a 2014 effective date. Alabama has not yet applied for pre-clearance.

Arizona – 9th Circuit upheld ID requirement of new law; struck requirement that voter prove citizenship.

Mississippi – A Voter ID amendment was approved by voters with a 62 percent margin in 2011. A bill to implement the amendment passed April 10, 2012. Requires preclearance. No word yet from Justice.

South Carolina – DOJ denied pre-clearance for new ID law in December 2011. State filed for reconsideration.

Texas – DOJ denied pre-clearance for new ID law. Texas filed suit with three-judge panel seeking pre-clearance; DOJ asked court to postpone trial.

Wisconsin – State judge ruled Wisconsin’s voter ID law unconstitutional (read the opinion). State will appeal.

The Wisconsin case is an example of independent groups working to sabotage reform efforts. In a suit brought by the League of Women Voters, the NAACP and others, the judge found ID laws “unconstitutional to the extent they serve as a condition for voting at the polls.” This was a bizarre ruling. Wisconsin’s Constitution clearly allows mechanisms to establish voter eligibility.

Despite the Left’s best efforts, voter ID laws have been proposed this year in 32 states.

A Personal Testimony

J. Christian Adams is a former DOJ election lawyer who worked on the Philadelphia Black Panther voter intimidation case. He resigned in protest of Eric Holder’s race-based application of the law. According to Adams’ new book, Injustice, Eric Holder became directly involved in the Black Panther case. Mr. Adams agreed to be interviewed for this report. Some highlights:

  • DOJ is engaged in a massive campaign to force states to… become aggressive voter registration offices…
  • DOJ announced they would not enforce Section 8 because it won’t increase turnout.
  • States are infested with dead voters on the rolls.
  • Investigations into eight states with widespread voter roll problems… were spiked
  • Because of Motor Voter, voter rolls in many states seeing influx of illegal aliens.
  • Data show that illegal aliens are participating in American elections.
  • DOJ is using [VRA] Sec. 5 to stop voter integrity initiatives.
  • Every one of Holder’s 113 new attorney hires is a far-left radical.

Famed civil rights attorney Bartle Bull was a poll watcher at that Philadelphia location when the Black Panthers appeared. He testified in the case, calling it “the most blatant form of voter intimidation” he had ever seen.

ACORN’s swamping method is now being replicated all over the country, especially in swing states or those with critical elections like Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s recall vote. Even local communities are affected. For example, the Wake County (Raleigh/Durham) registrar described a swamping effort conducted by North Carolina’s Public Interest Research Group (PIRG).

While these organizations are nominally independent, closer inspection often reveals interlocking directorates and/or shared staff. Many are supported directly or indirectly by George Soros foundations. The chart below, compiled by North Carolina Civitas Institute, includes many organizations that worked with ACORN there.

A Textbook Case: Houston Votes

In July 2010, a newly-formed voter registration group named Houston Votes (HV) announced it intended to register 100,000 Houston, Texas area voters in a few months. Catherine Engelbrecht, Leader of True the Vote (TTV) and King Street Patriots (KSP), was skeptical. Her group checked about 1,000 HV registrations. The number of erroneous registrations submitted by HV and Democracia—a group targeting unregistered Hispanics—was, she said, “off the charts.”

They brought their results to Harris County Registrar, Leo Vasquez, who reviewed HV registrations. He found that of 25,640 submitted, only 7,193 were “apparently new voters.” On August 24, Vasquez held an unprecedented press conference, announcing:

Evidence shows that the Houston Votes and Texans Together organization is conspiring in a pattern of falsification of government documents, suborning of perjury and a deliberate effort to over-burden our processing system with thousands of duplicate and incomplete voter registration applications.

He raised concerns that HV was, like ACORN, paying employees based on the number of applications they turned in, and cited specific examples of problematic registrations:

1,014 Pre-existing voters

1,030 Incomplete apps

25 Non-citizens

325 Minors

129 Ineligible felons

1,133 No ID

1,323 Filed past deadline

Three days later, a massive warehouse fire destroyed Harris County’s 10,000 voting machines. The fire’s timing bred suspicions, fed almost exclusively by the Left, which sought through innuendo to implicate KSP. A Huffington Post headline two days later was typical: “Possible Arson and the Right’s Texas Voter Suppression Effort.” This theme was repeated ad nauseam in the liberal media echo chamber. The Houston Fire Department later cited “an unspecified electrical short” as the cause, an explanation that satisfied no one.[iv]

HV held a press conference the day of the fire, calling Vasquez’s allegations “reckless and false” and “an apparently coordinated, partisan effort to suppress voter registration and to intimidate citizens into not voting…” They demanded the Justice Department investigate.

HV dismissed mistakes with the familiar ACORN refrain, blaming a few low-level employees who were fired when errors were discovered. However, Vasquez specifically cited 180 erroneous registrations turned in by Directors Sean Caddle and Neil Hudelson—more errors than usually submitted in total by traditional voter registration drives.

HV boasted their group was “non-partisan” but an attentive blogger quickly proved otherwise. One of the people training volunteers for Houston Votes was Maria Isabel, an Obama operative made famous by the photo of her office sporting a poster of Che Guevara.

BarackObama.com advertised HV’s “volunteer” deputy training. Participating groups included, Atascocita Texas for Obama, Houston For Obama, Houston Obama Leadership Team, Houston Women For Obama, and other similar groups.

HV Directors Hudelson and Caddle were quickly discovered to be long-time Democratic activists. At last notice they had returned to Caddle’s home state of New Jersey, working for Democratic Jersey City Council-at-Large candidate Sue Mack. She lost.

A little more digging revealed Houston Votes to be part of America Votes, a Soros-funded organization tied to ACORN, SEIU, and a universe of other leftwing groups.

America Votes specifically targeted Texas in its 2010 Redistricting Control Project. With 38 electoral votes, Texas is only exceeded by California’s 55. Latinos are the fastest growing ethnic group in Texas, not coincidentally home to the second largest illegal immigrant population in the U.S.

One quarter of Texans reside in the Houston metropolitan region and there are 25 state house seats in Harris County. Prior to the 2010 elections, Republicans held a slim majority of three seats in the Texas House. Winning in Houston had the potential to flip the House, giving Democrats control over redistricting. They wanted to “turn Texas blue.”

The Advisory Board of HV’s parent organization, Texans Together Education Fund, included a number of prominent left-wing Democrats. One was Grande Dame of Texas politics, Sissy Farenthold, who worked with the radical left Institute for Policy Studies in the 1980s. Another was Democrat Kristi Thibaut, a state legislator trying to hold her District 133 seat. She had worked for ACORN and was under investigation by the Texas Ethics Commission. Yet another was Sue Schechter, running for Harris County Clerk. Not only was HV extremely partisan, but plainly the Texas arm of Soros’s project.

America Votes failed in 2010. Republican control of the Texas state house increased by 44 seats in a nationwide sweep that brought Republican control to statehouses not seen since 1928. America Votes is targeting Florida, Michigan, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in 2012.

But the Left still wasn’t finished in Texas. The Texas Democratic Party sued the Harris County Registrar’s office, the Registrar and other employees.

Harris County had settled another suit with the Democrats in 2008 stemming from 67,554 rejected applications, mostly submitted by ACORN. Democrats had charged “voter suppression” then too, over registrations rejected for incomplete or inaccurate information—the kind ACORN excels at.

Because Texas is a preclearance state, redistricting maps must be approved. This year’s maps were challenged in court by Latino groups. This delayed the primary, neutralizing any impact Texas may have had on the Republican presidential primary process.

Voter Intimidation

KSP organized approximately 1,000 poll watchers for the 2010 elections. This outraged the Left, unused to having its inner city monopoly threatened. Texans Together Education Fund sued the King Street Patriots, True the Vote, Catherine Engelbrecht and her husband. On the first day of early voting, the Texas Democrat Party also filed a suit, a move characterized by KSP’s legal team as a naked effort to intimidate KSP-trained poll watchers.

Throughout the 2010 electoral cycle, the Left hurled accusations of “voter suppression” and “voter intimidation” at Catherine Engelbrecht, TTV, KSP and the volunteer poll watchers they trained. This narrative was promoted uncritically by the local press. Blogger Ann “Babe” Huggett, writing for EmergingCorruption.com, reported:

  • ABC Channel 13 quoted Democrats suing KSP that KSP leaders could see jail time for voter intimidation. ABC’s own video, however, shows otherwise.
  • Channel 26 reporter Isiah Carey asked repeatedly if the King Street Patriots hadn’t created a hostile environment. KSP offered witness testimony that it was “the other side” doing the intimidating.
  • New Black Panther leader, Quanell X, threatened that his men would “protect” people from the TTV-trained poll watchers.
  • Emails from communist Van Jones’ Color of Change circulated through liberal circles, charging poll-watcher voter intimidation.
  • Local radio station Magic 102.1 FM repeated bogus charges about assaults on black voters… including spitting and physical assault… on black grandmothers.

But it was actually poll judges, poll workers and Quanell X’s Houston Black Panther group, who did much of the intimidating. Assistant County Attorney Douglas Ray disclosed after an investigation that Harris County poll workers and election judges had committed the violations blamed on KSP. He was silent on the Panthers.

Poll Watchers submitted 763 incident reports, detailing over 3,000 violations, to Harris County. These included intimidation, harassment and illegal voter assistance conducted by poll judges and workers. To date there has been no response from the County. Three poll watchers were willing to be identified by name and spoke to reporters at a KSP press conference. KSP invited the Justice Department to witness what was happening. Justice never responded.

Independent of KSP, poll judge Carmen Cuneo gave compelling video testimony about how the chief judge had her removed and threatened with arrest after she confronted Quanell X about his group’s activities at the poll.

True the Vote and the Wisconsin Recall

Union groups used the swarming method earlier this year in a recall petition of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. They reportedly submitted one million petitions, needing only 540,208. The Democrat-controlled Government Accountability Board (GAB), responsible for verifying petitions, flatly refused to do so.

In an astonishing, heroic effort, True the Vote joined an effort called Verify the Recall and developed a method to verify recall petitions online. They built a nationwide network of 14,000 volunteers almost overnight, who checked 92 percent of the petitions in 22 days. The findings were stunning:

819,233 records (not 1 million)

534,685 verified legitimate (65 percent)

In addition to numerous bogus “Donald Duck” petitions, signers included:

  • 29 Wisconsin judges—one who later issued a restraining order against Walker’s Voter ID law.
  • A deputy DA, 19 attorneys and dozens of other DA employees. Some had been working on a heavily criticized “secret” John Doe investigation of Governor Walker at the time.
  • 25 Gannett News journalists
  • Several members of WTMJ-4 news staff
  • School board members
  • Four University of Wisconsin regents and the university’s chief spokesman.
  • A Democratic activist charged with seven felony ID theft counts and two of felony vote fraud. He signed up family members and neighbors, including a deceased man, without their knowledge or consent.

The GAB refused to consider VTR’s work and certified 900,000 petitions, but it was clear that Walker opponents had committed extensive vote fraud. The fraud would have gone undetected if not for the work of TTV.”

Leftwing “Reform” Efforts

Universal Voter Registration (UVR)

Cloward and Piven saw the NVRA as an intermediate goal. They made that clear in their book. The flurry of lawsuits and systemic fraud generated by the NVRA all build momentum to find a permanent solution. And the Left had the answer before they started: Universal Voter Registration.

UVR calls for automatically registering voters listed on various state and federal databases. Leftist groups argue it will solve all voter registration problems, but the left created most of them. UVR would create more:

  1. UVR undermines the Constitution.
  2. UVR facilitates illegal alien voting
  3. Homeowners with more than one property create duplicates.
  4. The many state & federal lists will create duplicates
  5. Because so many lists exist with little or no cross-checking these duplicates are likely to go uncorrected.

UVR would institutionalize the crisis strategy, and provide countless opportunities for vote fraud.

National Popular Vote

The National Popular Vote bill seeks to effectively abolish the Electoral College by enacting state laws that give all electors from those states that have passed the bill to the winner of the national popular vote. Direct elections would become universal when enough state legislatures have passed legislation to make up a majority of the electoral vote (270 of 538). Eight states and the District of Columbus, totaling 132 electoral votes, have passed NPV laws. The Electoral College was created to ensure that less populous states would not be overlooked in presidential elections. If successful, this effort will make vast swaths of our nation completely irrelevant to presidential candidates, as they would then focus all their efforts on large population centers.

Felon Voting

Project Vote disingenuously argues that rights should be restored to former felons. Almost every state has provisions to restore voting rights to former felons. ProCon.org claims about 5.2 million felons are “disenfranchised.” But only current prisoners have no recourse—about 1.4 million. They exaggerate the problem for unclear reasons. The “wise Latina,” Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, favors felon voting.

Same Day Voting

Same-day voter registration in Ohio led to ACORN’s permanent expulsion from that state. Then-Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, an alumna of George Soros’s Secretary of State Project (see below), announced a “Golden Week” for same day registration and voting. ACORN submitted thousands of bogus registrations, including the notorious case where one man was paid to register 73 times.

Former Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold proposed a nationwide same-day voting law in 2009, but his state’s experience with it has been disastrous. An investigation into the 2004 elections by the Milwaukee Police concluded the only way to prevent widespread fraud is to discontinue same-day voting. A 2011 study found errors in one-third of same-day voter registrations in Milwaukee County.

Nine states currently have same day voting laws.

Secretary of State Project

The Soros funded Secretary of State Project seeks to elect leftist Democrats to that critical post. SoS Project-backed Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie demonstrated the value of this program when comedian Al Franken eked out a victory in his 2008 U.S. Senate race amidst numerous, well-documented allegations of vote fraud.

The SoS Project did poorly in 2010, however. Ritchie was one of only two SoS-backed candidates to survive the Republican tidal wave.

The project’s website, secstateproject.org, is no longer operational. There is a Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/secstateproject. It does not appear to get much traffic. This may reflect a temporary lull in activity, or Soros and his minions have moved to more promising initiatives.

What Is To Be Done?

The 2012 election may be the most important election in American history. American citizens acting in the best interest of our country must be the bulwark against fraud. There are many things people can do, suitable to their time and resource constraints. Here is a list of options:

  • Volunteer with True the Vote (www.truethevote.org) and join your state’s affiliate. True the Vote is conducting training all over the country. Find your state affiliate.
  • Bookmark Protect Your Vote! (www.protectyourvote.us). This website provides state-by-state information about voting laws, vote fraud risk, and updated information about voter ID efforts.
  • Judicial Watch has done more than any other organization to expose the activities of this corrupt administration and Justice Department under Eric Holder. Sign up for email alerts at www.judicialwatch.org.
  • Read, print and distribute the Patriot’s Handbook. This free resource contains a wealth of information on how people can participate at any level.

The National Voter Registration Act was crafted specifically to bring calculated chaos to our elections, open the door to vote fraud and force states to become de facto voter registration drives heavily favorable to one political party. Similarly, Attorney General Eric Holder and his allies have abused the Voting Rights Act, turning preclearance into a political weapon to sabotage voter integrity efforts. The results are a voting system vulnerable to systemic fraud.

Our most fundamental right as Americans, to determine the size, scope and indeed the very nature of our nation, is being threatened. This must not stand.

Obama recruits an army of community organizers to ensure his reelection

Andrew Malcolm is reporting that Barack Obama's election campaign is recruiting an army of determined community organizers to walk the streets of the nation's cities this summer and autumn in the footsteps of a young Chicago community organizer named Barack Obama.
 
Recruits would gather other volunteers, register new voters, run phone banks and campaign events and knock on millions of doors to track voters' preferences and encourage supporters of the president's reelection.
 
The massive, cross-country organization is called Obama Fellowships. It involves many thousands of unpaid volunteers, both full- and part-time with separate fellowships for the summer and the fall leading up to the Nov. 6 presidential election.

The fellows' duties will include recruiting and training thousands of other volunteers to penetrate neighborhoods, run phone banks, organize and monitor campaign events and go door-to-door talking with voters, soliciting support for the Democrat and noting residents' political sympathies.
 
In a recent plea sent to millions of existing Obama supporters, Michelle Obama says: "I'm writing because Barack needs you out there this summer."
 
She warns that "there will be difficult days" as they "fight for progress" and "help more people make their voices heard."
 
The first lady says: "It's an amazing experience -- one that could change your life while shaping this country for decades to come."

She assures the would-be Obama legions that they will inherit the mantle of movement leadership from her husband. "The people who take on this challenge," Obama says, "will not only help move this country forward -- they'll also become the next generation of leaders."
 
An attached link takes potential foot-soldiers to a lengthy application form that seeks standard location information, language, computer and online communication skills such as Facebook and Twitter.

It also asks their comfort levels with telephone and door-to-door solicitations, first, second and third choice for assignment states and a series of mini-essays on such topics as working with diverse groups, overcoming adversities in life and what the word "organizing" means to them.
 
There is a box suggesting students ask their colleges if they could obtain course credits for their unpaid summer- and fall-long political organizing for the Democrat.

Another resume box hints that some kind of unspecified paid employment might be available for Obama volunteers after their fellowship is completed.
 
Also sought is voluntary information on their military experience, ethnicity and sexual orientation.

Reuters: Obama needs vote fraud

Don Surber says Democrats have gotten too clever for themselves in battling voter ID. Requiring people to show the same ID to vote that they must show to buy cigarettes or beer somehow disenfranchises them according to those great super-duper thinkers on the Left. It’s comical. And the British Canadian business wire service, Reuters, bought into the liberal line so much that it inadvertently makes Barack Obama seem like one big crook.

From Reuters: “The new laws -- many of which include measures requiring voters to show a photo ID at the polls -- could carve into Obama’s potential support in Florida, Ohio and a few other politically divided states likely to be crucial in the November 6 election, analysts say. The analysts note that massive registration drives in 2008 helped put millions of people aged 18 to 29 on voting rolls, and that age group -- which makes up roughly one-quarter of the U.S. electorate -- helped propel Obama to victory, voting 2-to-1 for him. Rock the Vote, a nationwide organization that mobilizes young voters, said the new laws would make it more difficult for the group to educate people on how to sign up to vote.”

Might I suggest that if you are too ignorant to figure out how to sign up to vote, you really are not intelligent enough to vote? Getting a driver’s license is much more difficult.

This shows that voter fraud really is rampant -- so rampant that the reform has forced liberal front groups, such as the League of Women Voters, to quit. From the article: “The League of Women Voters also could sign up fewer voters this year, partly because it has joined Rock the Vote in suspending voter registration drives in Florida as the groups challenge that state’s new restrictions in court.”

ACORN, too, is gone.

Look, I don’t mind someone canceling my vote. I do mind someone doing so illegally. Campaign reform begins at the ballot box as far as I am concerned. This will not cost Obama the election. 4 years of incompetence will.

The Democrats' election forgery racket

Michelle Malkin says a few weeks ago, Obama senior adviser and seasoned Chicago operative David Axelrod joked on MSNBC about election corruption. Asked whether "vote early and often" scams had come to an end in his shady hometown, Axelrod snarked: "Well, certainly on the air." Yuk, yuk, yuk.

Behind the scenes, Democrats have been busy faking petition signatures, forging ballots and enlisting medical professionals to authorize fraudulent doctors' notes for liberal teachers-union operatives protesting Republican opponents. It's no laughing matter.

This week, four Democratic officials in Indiana were hit with felony charges related to petition fraud in the state's 2008 primary. The prosecutions are a result of the local South Bend Tribune newspaper's investigation last fall into "hundreds of county residents' signatures" forged on petitions used to put Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the Democratic primary ballot. At least two whistle-blowing government officials came forward to expose the forgery racket, which court documents say was formulated by Democratic Party officials inside local party headquarters.

A veteran county Democratic Party chair, Butch Morgan, resigned in October over the scandal; three employees in the St. Joseph County voter registration office reportedly helped Morgan execute the scheme. Among the hundreds of unsuspecting residents whose names were illegally signed to the petitions: the prosecuting attorney in the case and a former Democratic governor of the state!

That's the audacity of ACORN-style hoaxes.

Without the phony signatures, there's a significant chance that Obama would not have qualified for the primary ballot -- throwing the validity of the entire election into question.

Dr. Deb Fleming, the county's Republican chairwoman, told the South Bend Tribune that the Democratic machine has dominated her backyard for decades. "They have 'a culture of corruption' here and throughout Indiana. 'I'm sure there are other things. They've just never gotten caught,' she speculated. 'Because they've been in control of St. Joseph County for so long, they felt they could get away with it.'"

It's a widespread culture of election corruption that has festered in Obama's Chicago, crossed into Indiana and bubbled up across the country.

On Tuesday, a New York judge set new trial dates for Democratic officials and political operatives accused of another ballot fraud conspiracy. A first round of prosecutions against Democratic Elections Commissioner Edward McDonough and his co-defendant, former Councilman Michael LoPorto, ended in mistrials last month. The two men also face separate voter fraud charges involving a plot by Democrats to win the radical Working Families Party primary back in 2009. The WFP is a front group for President Obama's dear old friends at fraud-plagued ACORN.

According to law enforcement authorities, the ring of Democrats tried to rig the primary election for city council and county legislature by forging absentee ballots and ballot applications to ensure that their candidates also won the Working Families Party primary line.

Fox News Channel investigative reporter Eric Shawn noted that a whistle-blower in the case, WFP employee Sarah Couch, told investigators that her bosses "asked her to issue a Working Families Party press release that would 'point blame at the Republican Party,' and she refused to do so." Another whistle-blower, Democratic operative Anthony DeFiglio, told police that "faking absentee ballots was a commonplace and accepted practice in political circles, all intended to swing an election."

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, the state's Medical Examining Board decided last month to investigate 11 additional doctors for writing fake sick notes for public union teachers who ditched their classrooms to protest GOP Gov. Scott Walker. Nine other medical professionals have already received slaps on the wrist.

Primary petitions. Absentee ballots. Doctors' orders. Fraudulent signatures are becoming the signature of desperate Democrats who play the electoral game by one set of rules: By Any Means Necessary.

Yet, progressives in the media and White House continue to strike a see-no-election-fraud, hear-no-election-fraud, speak-no-election-fraud pose. And Team Obama's Axelrod supplies the laugh track. Yuck, yuck, yuck!

So I was listening to Michael Savage yesterday (sorry, only talk show available) and he commented on his new book a specific story that intrigued me.  He stated that Obama cleared the way for a company whose board of directors resides in Spain, to get the contract for election results tabulation.  He went on to say that there is currently no way, once the votes are tabulated, to distinguish a valid vote from a fraudulent one.  Additionally, one of the members of this board was a major donor to Obama.  Anyone else heard about this?  I'd post a link, but it was on the radio.

How to Respond to Obama's Lies?

RUSH:  And that's the key, and I just saw Attorney General Holder on television, (paraphrasing) "Of course we're gonna respond. Of course it will be an appropriate response. And of course we understand Marbury v. Madison. Of course we understand the court's final say-so on whether laws are constitutional. But we must remember that the court has always practiced deference," said Holder. The court's always been deferential.  So he's trying to have it both ways.  "Oh, yeah, we understand the court strikes down laws of Congress.  They better not strike this one down."  But, again, at the risk of being redundant, Obama knows that there's judicial review. He knows that the court does this.  He's not ignorant or stupid or uneducated.  What he did yesterday had nothing to do with the court, not purposely.

The unintended consequence is that he has shown a profound disrespect for the court, and he is relegating them to a status in his mind of being inconsequential.  They're simply there to rubber stamp him.  And if they don't rubber stamp him, they are in the crosshairs, and that's his message to 'em.  They had better rubber stamp his health care bill, and if they don't, then they're targets.  And the way they're targets is he's telling the American people, "Those guys, those judges, they're taking away your health care. They are the ones that are gonna make it so that you have financial ruin if you get sick.  They are taking away what I gave you."  Ladies and gentlemen, it is so beneath the dignity of the ofice of the presidency.  It's just striking, it really is.  It defies description.

I must be honest with you here.  We've faced this countless times before during the Clinton years with the Democrat Party and the people at the highest levels of their leadership showing total disregard and disrespect for traditions, ethics, just being polite, manners, showing respect.  And I don't know about anybody else, but I've always struggled with how to react to it and how to explain it to people in a way that is persuasive.  I guess I've always struggled with the way to explain to people to pierce the partisanship.  'Cause I don't need to persuade you.  You all know how atrocious this is.  You know how shameful, how embarrassing this is.  But his audience doesn't, the people he's speaking to you.

You'd like to be able to get to them. I'd like to be able to shake their shoulders, "Wake up and understand what's happening here."  I don't know that I've ever successfully been able to do that, not consistently.  I know that converts happen.  But I'm into my 24th year hosting this program, and I am still struggling, as I think a lot of conservatives, slash, Republicans are, with the best way to react.  See, the problem is I live in Realville. I have a profound respect for the intelligence of my audience.  I can't relate to what Obama's doing.  I wouldn't lie to you to try to advance my own fortunes.  I couldn't.  My conscience wouldn't permit it, number one.  Number two, it's not who I am.  I could not do what he's doing.  And as such, I can't relate to it.  I can understand it, but I can't relate to it.  And we're up against people who don't care if he's lying.

All they care about is the food stamp check.  Am I gonna keep my health care?  Will abortion still be legal?  That's all.  And he's counting on that. He's counting on his audience to be dumb.  He has no problem disrespecting them or the vast majority of the American people.  I'll give you a reminder, an example, to illustrate what I'm talking about here.  Shortly after Obama was immaculated, there was an incident in Detroit where the federal government was giving away vouchers for cheap rentals, I think is what it was.  It doesn't really matter for the purposes of this story.  And what happened was that wherever people were told to go in Detroit they were flooded with people.  Cookie, we don't need the sound bites from the archives.  Don't go get 'em.  I'm not gonna spend that much time on it.  All these people showed up and our affiliate in Detroit, WJR, sent a reporter out to talk to the people.

"Why are you here?"

And their answers, to me, as an American citizen, were depressing.  And if I had been president, I would have been ashamed. I would have been really bothered that people voted for me based on this.  But this is exactly what he wants.  These people showed up, and they said, "I'm here to get my free place to live."

"Well, who's going to pay for it?"

"I don't care."

"Well, no, really, where's the money coming from?"

"It's coming from Obama's stash."

"Well, where'd Obama get it?"

"I don't care.  He's got it, and that's why we love Obama. He's giving it to us."

I would have cringed.  If I had been president and people showed up and thought that's what my presidency meant, I would have cringed. I would have flown to Detroit, and I woulda had a meeting, and I would have done a speech, and I woulda said, "Let me tell you what this country is all about and how you prosper in it."  Instead, Obama exploits that ignorance; exploits that stupidity.  And I don't mean stupidity in a pejorative sense.  I'm just trying to be descriptive.  But he exploits people who have nothing and whose only hope of getting something, they think, is if a president gives it to 'em.  I can't relate to that.  I understand it.  He's a welfare state guy. He's a redistribution of wealth guy. He wants people to love him because he wants them to think that he's the only reason they've got anything.  And we've gotta peel off some of those people somehow.

Everybody talks about the independents. To heck with them. Well, not "to heck;" we're gonna have to peel off some of the ignorant here. We're gonna have to. I don't know what percent... (interruption) Well, I don't know, because I'm not ignorant, and I don't know how to relate to 'em. But I do know that it's possible for the ignorant to learn. It happens every day in this country. It's possible for the ignorant to become educated. It can happen. So this is the problem I have here is to try to refute what the president's saying in a way that's persuasive to people and they just don't hear it as criticism, because then they chalk that up as, "That's just usual. You're just criticizing Obama 'cause you don't like him."

No. I'm criticizing him because I seriously, sincerely in the depths of my heart believe that this man is harming the foundations of this country. I don't think there's any question about the fact that he does not like this country as founded. Anyway, that's just a little personal struggle.

Supremely disturbing, boorish Obama

 

The following was written by Gina Miller. Her opinions don’t necessarily reflect those of ScottFactor.com, but because they’re here, they probably do.

 

Of course we should not be surprised at anything that comes out of his mouth, but comments this week by Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) were simply stunning. Not only were they stunning, but they were chilling. When he issued a thinly veiled threat to the Supreme Court concerning their ruling on the atrocious Obamacare legislation, we saw a brazen, boorish, wanna-be dictator showing his ugly, arrogant face.

 

Here is part of what he said,

 

“Ultimately, I’m confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress. And I’d just remind conservative commentators that for years what we’ve heard is, the biggest problem on the bench was judicial activism or a lack of judicial restraint -- that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law. Well, this is a good example. And I’m pretty confident that this Court will recognize that and not take that step.”

Lies. There is nothing “unprecedented” about the Supreme Court overturning unconstitutional legislation. They have been doing it for over 200 years. He lies about the definition of “judicial activism.” Judicial activism is a very real problem in our nation, and it has been a problem for many years now. Judicial activism occurs when judges depart from constitutional law and create new laws contrary to the Constitution, and that happens all too often. Judges who uphold the Constitution are not judicial activists, but of course, Obama never lets the truth get in the way of his outrageous assertions.

Speaking of outrageous assertions, did you hear what Obama said about the Paul Ryan GOP budget?

As reported by Real Clear Politics,

“We wouldn’t have the capacity to enforce the laws that protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, or the food that we eat. Cuts to the FAA would likely result in more flight cancellations, delays and the complete elimination of air traffic control services in parts of the country. Over time, our weather forecasts would become less accurate because we wouldn’t be able to afford to launch new satellites and that means governors and mayors would have to wait longer to order evacuations in the event of a hurricane. That’s just a partial sampling of the consequences of this budget.”

This is simply breathtaking. This man has never met a lie he is not willing to tell. Absolutely nothing in that statement is true. There is no government agency or program that could not stand budget cuts—even huge budget cuts. If we could truly analyze the waste and redundancy and then eliminate them, we would be amazed at the money we could save while still having good weather forecasting, air traffic control services and air, food and water safety. Give me a break, Obama! He sounds desperate.

But, is he really desperate? When you consider the hot-mic, “after my election, I will have more flexibility” remarks he recently made to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, it would seem that Obama is quite confident that he will be “reelected.”

We may wonder how he can be so sure of himself. There is no doubt that Obama is unpopular, despite the “polling results” being constantly released by Obama-fawning media outlets that show close to half the nation approves of his terrible, treasonous performance in office.

I understand that there are plenty of uninformed or otherwise ignorant people in America who do not have the slightest clue about what the communist Obama administration has been doing since January of 2009, but many, many millions more have been jarred wide awake in the past few years and are watching closely as this man and his fellow travelers in Congress and his administration systematically destroy our economy, our military, our freedoms and our Constitution. Now, this process has been going on bit by bit for many decades, but we have never seen such an acceleration of it as we have seen under Obama.

I do not believe for a minute that Obama could re-take the presidency in an honest election. Without massive election fraud, it simply is not possible. When you consider the fact that a glaring majority of Americans oppose the government takeover of the health care industry and the forcing of all Americans to buy health insurance, how can you believe that many of them also support Obama for reelection? If 60 to 75 percent of the nation wants nothing to do with Obamacare, I find it hard to believe that a third to a half of those people want anything to do with Obama being reelected, unless they somehow stupidly do not associate Obama with his “signature” legislation.

We already see the stage being set for widespread election fraud. You have the Obama “Justice” Department fighting like deranged thugs to prevent states from enacting common-sense voter identification laws. The Democrats are so desperate to stop voter ID, that they are even waging a boycott of Coca-Cola and Walmart for those companies’ support of voter ID laws—all the more reason to shop at Walmart and buy Coca-Cola!

We also see the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) working feverishly to implement stealth amnesty for illegal aliens by granting certain illegals so-called “unlawful presence waivers” for those criminal aliens who can prove they have an American citizen relative.

Obama’s marvelous speech

Karl says that yesterday, Crankypants lectured his base -- news editors -- on the “social Darwinism” of the House GOP budget and likely GOP nominee Mitt Romney. If you want a point-by-point rebuttal, Guy Benson has it for you. If you prefer wry mockery, Allahpundit is your man. However, Barack Obama gave a marvelous speech, as Howard Fineman helps explain:

President Barack Obama is leading in the polls, particularly in swing states. The economy is, in some ways, recovering impressively from the mega-meltdown of 2008-09. The Republican Party is poised to nominate Mitt Romney, a man with no public political skills who wants to install an elevator in his garage and has an uncanny ability to generate fear and loathing among many of his party’s most ardent grassroots activists.

Yet Obama, who essentially kicked off the general election season on Tuesday at an annual gathering of newspaper editors, was a grim-faced candidate. No “Happy Warrior” was he. His hair growing grayer by the day, his lips tight and jaw clenched, the president seemed to be looking forward to the campaign with all the joy of a teen combatant in “The Hunger Games.”

But the main reason for Obama’s grim mood Tuesday was the political strategy that he and his aides have decided to pursue. The president did not much bother to tout his administration’s achievements. Instead and not by accident, he spent most of his podium time crying havoc about the GOP candidates, the Republican House budget and even what he regards as the danger the Supreme Court will act irresponsibly on health care.

Unlike Fineman, you probably noticed the cognitive dissonance from the lede to the paragraphs which followed. The conclusions Fineman avoids drawing from his observations are the most important thing about Obama’s speech.

As far back as last September, Team Obama has been claiming the 2012 election is a choice between two candidates, rather than a referendum on Obama. The claim is technically true, but generally unhelpful to the incumbent as a practical matter. The fact that elections generally present a choice of the lesser of two evils does not make for a good campaign theme. An incumbent president would much prefer to run on his record and a booming economy. Accordingly, Obama tried out an “America is Back” theme in his State of the Union speech. In late February, Democratic pollster Stanley Greenberg found this approach produced disastrous results.

Seven months from the election, we find Obama regressing to play what Fineman calls the “Grim Warrior.” Tuesday’s speech announces to the world that Team Obama has no confidence the economy will improve much between April and November. Tuesday’s speech announces that Obama does not believe he can win on his record. Tuesday’s speech announces that Obama thinks he must convince voters mushy Mitt Romney is a radical extremist to win. Conservatives and libertarians may be disgusted by the text of Obama’s speech, but they should be delighted by the subtext.

Murder, threats, election fraud were justified for Obama's illegal election

 

Pamela Barnett says I knew that there was serious election fraud and intimidation by the Obama camp in 2008, but the murder(s) and suspicious death talked about in this video are mind blowing.  I was told by some very wealthy people that obama was selected to orchestrate this huge theft of the American people’s wealth before 2008.  Who better to do it, than a Marxist with no values?

Four Indiana Democrats charged with election fraud -- forged petitions for Obama

Four Democrat leaders in Indiana were charged today with forging 2008 election petitions.

Fox News reported:

Felony charges related to election fraud have touched the 2008 race for the highest office in the land.

Prosecutors in South Bend, Ind., filed charges Monday against four St. Joseph County Democratic officials and deputies as part of a multiple-felony case involving the alleged forging of Democratic presidential primary petitions in the 2008 election, which put then-candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the Indiana ballot.

The officials are accused of taking part in a scheme to fake signatures and names on the primary petitions needed to run for president. Court papers say the plan was hatched by local Democratic Party officials inside the local party headquarters.

Among those charged is the former long-time chairman of the St. Joseph County Democratic Party, Butch Morgan, who allegedly ordered the forgeries. He was forced to resign when the allegations were first made public last October, even though his lawyer, Shaw Friedman, told Fox News at the time that Morgan did not do anything wrong.

The St. Joseph County Board of Voter Registration’s Democratic board member, Pam Brunette, Board of Voter Registration worker Beverly Shelton and Democratic volunteer and former board worker Dustin Blythe also face charges.

According to affidavits, St. Joseph County Voter Registration Office worker Lucas Burkett told investigators that he was part of the plan that started in January 2008 “to forge signatures on presidential candidate petitions instead of collecting actual signatures from citizens.”

I have no doubt that election fraud will rule the day in November.  It's sad that in the U.S. we will soon need international election monitors to ensure a fair election.  It's so shameful I feel like I want to puke.

The main reason people don't want to get VOTER ID's is because they are either here fraudaluntly or don't want anyone to actually know where they live because they are on the run from something......  but they can give up an address for food, medical care, housing assistance etc, because the people don't actually have to be at that place to get their stuff anymore, unlike they did back before the EBT debit Card or the computer operator in the welfare office that just puts info into that puter and doesn't really check it out as viable.

2 million dead ready to vote for Obama

Along with 24 million others who aren’t valid any longer

The United States’ voter registration system is in chaos — about 24 million registrations are no longer valid and nearly 2 million dead people are still on voter rolls, according to a new report Tuesday.

Along with the one of every eight voter registrations that is not valid or has significant inaccuracies, there are 2.75 million people currently registered to vote in more than one state, the Pew Center on the States study found. And the millions of problematic registrations aren’t the only issue — researchers estimate at least 51 million eligible U.S. citizens aren’t registered to vote. That’s nearly one in four, or 24 percent of the eligible population.

Additionally, about 12 million records have incorrect addresses, meaning it’s unlikely any mailings can reach these voters, the research in the report shows.

Still, David Becker, director of Pew’s Election Initiatives, said that the center’s findings did not suggest any kind of voter fraud or voter suppression from these problems, but noted they do “underscore the need for an improved system.”

There also are more than 1.8 million deceased people who still have active registration on voter rolls, Pew found. And, Becker said, the outdated, inefficient systems currently in place are “not designed to keep up with deaths as they occur.”

But hey, voter ID’s are oppressive

The Obama Administration’s re-election mobilization continues: Witness Eric Holder’s attempt to play the race card and perhaps twist the law in a campaign against voter identification laws.

In the Attorney General’s telling, the movement in the states to require voters to show some ID is a revival of minority disenfranchisement a la Jim Crow. A growing number of minorities, he said in a speech last week, are now worried about “the same disparities, divisions and problems” that beset the country in 1965 and “many Americans, for the first time in their lives . . . now have reason to believe that we are failing to live up” to the promise of democracy for all.

If you haven’t heard about this national crisis, perhaps that’s because you don’t travel in Mr. Holder’s political circles. He is merely repeating the howls of groups like the NAACP and the George Soros-funded Brennan Center, which claim without evidence that voter ID laws hurt minorities.

The NAACP even petitioned the United Nations this month for a human-rights ruling on what President Benjamin Jealous called a “tidal wave of assaults on the right to vote.” He meant in America, not Cuba or North Korea. The American Civil Liberties Union has sued to challenge a voter ID law in Wisconsin.

DrJohn says if democrats put the same energy they expend whining about voter ID’s into actually procuring voter ID’s for those they are concerned for this wouldn’t be an issue.

Which tells you they want the issue over the solution.
