Jim Kouri says attaining political power includes winning elections and forming a state run according to Islamic law, the liberation of countries of Islam from a foreign yoke, uniting them into one Islamic entity, and spreading Islamic values around the globe on the ruins of the liberal West.

Barack Obama's view of the Muslim Brotherhood is based on his -- and his advisors' -- apparent rationale that the Islamist group is reformed and much more like the American and European models of pluralistic societies.

However, experts on Islam and terrorism claim that the Muslim Brotherhood’s -- and the radical Salafists -- dominance of the Egyptian government, by virtue of its recent parliamentary election victories, will eventually lead to the imposition of Sharia law on Islamic Arabs and jihad against infidels.

"Nothing the Obama administration is trying to do through its aggressive overtures, including recent high-level meetings with Muslim Brotherhood officials, will change that fact.  Jihad is embedded in its history, as evidenced by the violent Islamic jihadist organizations such as Hamas that it spawned.  And let’s not forget that it was the Muslim Brotherhood that gave Osama bin Laden’s former deputy and current leader of al Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, his start," said attorney and World Net Daily investigative journalist Joseph Klein.

Klein states that Jihad remains in the Muslim Brotherhood’s DNA.  Its motto includes the words: "Jihad is our way.  Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."  The Brotherhood’s new offices are emblazoned with its emblem of crossed swords.

When actress and former Saturday Night Live cast member Victoria Jackson accused the Obama administration of allowing members of the Muslim Brotherhood access to his White House and his administration, she was criticized for her comments.
 
However, in June 2011, the Law Enforcement/Public Safety Examiner reported that the feeding frenzy over New York City's Congressman Anthony Weiner's sex scandal was nothing compared to allegations that his wife, Huma Abedin, has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and it's female off-shoot, the Muslim Sisterhood.  Even more disturbing is the fact that Mrs. Weiner works for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and has access to confidential, even secret, intelligence.
 
A counterterrorism think-tank based in the Middle East, released its latest report on the increasingly powerful Islamic group, the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood.
 
In Middle Eastern and North African Arab countries, the behavior of the Muslim Brotherhood has been influenced by the basic tension between the movement's ultimate goal of establishing a state run according to Islamic law (Sharia'h) and the need to exhibit a certain degree of pragmatism and flexibility in relation to the movement's need to adapt itself to the social and political conditions of each country, according to a report by the Meir Amit Information Center in Israel.
 
The activities of the Muslim Brotherhood cannot be regarded as uniform throughout the Arab world for it is run differently in each country, according to local circumstances and constraints.  However, there are connections and common learning within the movement in Egypt and other countries in the Middle East and around the globe, according to Meir Amit.

The Muslim Brotherhood's ideology is based on the world-view of "Islam as the solution" for every individual, social and political problem.  Instituting a comprehensive "Muslim world order" will be possible, according to the movement and its founders, by means of a long-term process of multiple stages.

It will, through education, begin with the new Muslim individual, progress to his family, from his family to society at large and from there to the new Muslim world order.

How to implement the ideology is subject to broad interpretation, and there are pragmatic, conservative and extremist factions within the movement.

It is the "pragmatic" members of the Muslim Brotherhood who President Barack Obama and his underlings choose to promote to the American people.

At Ramadan dinner, Obama calls Clinton aide a "patriot"

Salimah Ebrahim is reporting that Barack Obama on Friday called Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, an "American patriot" after a group of Republican lawmakers accused her of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist political organization.
 
"She has been nothing less than extraordinary in representing our country and the democratic values that we hold dear," Obama said at a White House Iftar dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Stony Brook University Muslim Chaplain meets Barack Obama

Christine Sampson is reporting that Sister Sanaa Nadim, Stony Brook University Interfaith Center's Muslim chaplain, was recently recognized by Barack Obama during a White House dinner.

According to an official White House transcript, Obama recognized Muslim and Muslim-American women for their bravery and their role in history.

According to the transcript, Obama said: "They are faith leaders like Sanaa Nadim, one of the first Muslim chaplains at an American college – a voice for interfaith dialogue who’s had the opportunity to meet with the Pope to discuss these issues. We’re very proud to have you here."

The dinner celebrated Iftar, which marks the breaking of fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Sister Nadim, who founded the Stony Brook Muslim Student Association (MSA), said it was an honor to be recognized by Obama.

"He truly values the religious diversity that forms the fabric of our nation," she said in a statement. "Being at the White House where our founding fathers fought many years ago for the freedoms we enjoy today, reminded me of the importance of working to build bridges between groups divided by ethnic, cultural or religious differences. We are truly blessed to have a president who appreciates the beauty of interfaith collaboration, and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to have spent time with him.”

Jihad Watch calls the Muslim Students Association "the mother ship of all the Muslim Brotherhood front groups."

The MSA is a supposedly "mainstream" group that has long operated on college campuses from coast to coast. Yet a 2007 New York Police Department report identified the organization as an "incubator" for Islamic radicalism.

Former FBI Special Agent John Guandolo told CBN News that the problem can be traced back to the group's roots in the Muslim Brotherhood -- a jihadist movement that seeks to establish Islamic Sharia law worldwide.

"The MSA serves as a recruitment tool to bring Muslims into the Brotherhood," Guandolo said. "Which was its original purpose: to evaluate Muslims and to bring them into the Brotherhood and to recruit non-Muslims into Islam as a dawa entity, giving them the call to Islam."

Guandolo worked on several major terrorism cases for the FBI. He calls the MSA the "focal point" for the Muslim Brotherhood in America.

A Muslim asks the Imam:  "To become a citizen of US one has to take an oath of allegiance.  Is it ok to take the oath."

The Imam responds:

As Muslims, we are duty bound to follow our lives strictly according to Shari'ah. Whatever Shari'ah allows us to do, we will abide by that and whatever Shari'ah has restricted us from, we will refrain from it. Hence, we are not allowed to obey anybody if it is resulting in the disobedience of the Creator, Allah. Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "There is no obedience for the creation by disobeying the Creator." (Mirqaat vol.7 pg.217; Imdadiyyah).

Hence, keeping this in mind if one is forced to sign the above in order to become a citizen or the only way of attaining citizenship is by acknowledging the above, then one may sign it with the intention that Shari'ah and Deen will always be his yardstick and that he will never sacrifice any of the teachings of Deen.

Obama's constant BS about Thomas Jefferson and Islam

Warner Todd Huston says every year he's occupied the Oval Office, Barack Obama has hosted an "Iftar dinner" to honor Islam in the White House. Obama has also each time led his speech with the outlandish nonsense that Thomas Jefferson held the "first iftar dinner" in the White House. And every time it's been utter hogwash. This year's speech was no different in that respect.

For the 2012 Iftar dinner celebration. Obama said the following:

As I’ve noted before, Thomas Jefferson once held a sunset dinner here with an envoy from Tunisia -- perhaps the first Iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago. And some of you, as you arrived tonight, may have seen our special display, courtesy of our friends at the Library of Congress -- the Koran that belonged to Thomas Jefferson. And that's a reminder, along with the generations of patriotic Muslims in America, that Islam -- like so many faiths -- is part of our national story.

This year’s reference to Jefferson’s so-called Iftar dinner is at least a step closer to reality in that Obama said it was "perhaps the first iftar at the White House." In the past, he was less equivocal. In 2010, for instance, Obama said it was the first iftar dinner.

Tonight, we are reminded that Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity. And Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America. The first Muslim ambassador to the United States, from Tunisia, was hosted by President Jefferson, who arranged a sunset dinner for his guest because it was Ramadan—making it the first known iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago.

But the fact is Jefferson's dinner was not a "was" nor was it a "perhaps." It was a wasn't. President Thomas Jefferson did not hold any iftar dinner, nor did he intend to honor Islam in that way. To claim that the very first president to authorize war against “the Musselmen” -- who we today call Muslims -- would have hosted a dinner to honor Islam is an absurdity of the first order.

Plain and simple, that "Iftar dinner" that Jefferson hosted was in no way meant as an iftar dinner. Now, it is a fact that Jefferson invited Mr. Sidi Soliman Melli Melli, the diplomatic envoy that the Bey of Tunis, to the White House for dinner. But Jefferson was told that the envoy was fasting and observing his religious tenets at the time and could not attend at the appointed time.

You see, Jefferson usually ate dinner at 3:30 PM, as did most Washingtonians at the time (remember, without electric lights the evening came a lot sooner than it does today). However, Jefferson was told that the envoy couldn't attend a dinner until after sunset. So, being a good host, Jefferson merely pushed the dinner back and invited the envoy to dinner at a time after his religious observation ended.

That is all he did. Jefferson had no intention at all of hosting any Iftar dinner. But here is Barack Obama continuing this phony claim that Jefferson "perhaps" hosted an iftar diner. He did not. Thomas Jefferson certainly hosted a dinner, but a dinner was all he intended. He never intended to impose any religious meaning on the event.

It is also interesting to note that the Koran Obama noted that Jefferson had in his vast collection of books was a translation by an Englishman named George Sale. Sale’s 1734 edition of the Koran was one of its earliest translations into English. But as far as observant Muslims are concerned, this book does not qualify as a Koran because it was not written by an Arab and is not an authorized translation!

Barack Obama has been misleading Americans and America’s Muslims, now, for four years. Until modern times, there have been no iftar dinners at the White House. Further, there is no long tradition of Muslims having an impact in America. The only real impact that Islam has had on America occurred on September 11, 2001. It is an impact that reverberates today.

Steve Malzberg asserts that Jefferson did study the Koran as a learned man -- and he also launched a war against the Barbary Pirates who were capturing American ships in the Mediterranean Sea and demanding tribute -- ransom -- from the infidel American government. Jefferson read the Koran to know his enemy, not out of admiration for its teachings.

Egypt's "moderate" and "pragmatic" dictator

As Jonah Goldberg has long noted, one of the long-standing conceits of the Left and “progressives” is that they have no ideology, that they are simply “pragmatic,” just wanting to do what “works”:

Ultimately, much of philosophical (capital "P" Pragmatism -- at least on the left -- was an attempt to make socialist or Marxist ideas -- or attempts to move toward those ideas -- seem practical and empirical rather than ideological. Much of the anti-ideological language of the left today is a byproduct of that project. “Ideology” (by which the left means conservative ideology) is bad because it stands in the way of “pragmatic” improvements. But those “improvements” aren’t pragmatic at all, they’re deeply ideological. Some of the most blinkered ideologues in American life, going back to FDR, have championed the idea that they “don’t believe in ideology” or “don’t believe in labels” when in fact what they really believe is that they don’t think ideologies they disagree with should be allowed to stand between them and implementing their agenda.

Here’s a canonical example of the thesis, from “liberal” Jonathan Chait:

The contrast between economic liberalism and economic conservatism, then, ultimately lies not only in different values or preferences but in different epistemologies. Liberalism is a more deeply pragmatic governing philosophy -- more open to change, more receptive to empiricism, and ultimately better at producing policies that improve the human condition -- than conservatism. [Emphasis added]

Rand Simberg says, got that? They’re “more receptive to empiricism.” That’s why they continue to promote socialist policies that have failed everywhere they’ve been tried, often accompanied by the deaths of tens of millions, not because they’re ideological.

And in fact, there was a whole “progressive" American movement along those lines, started by socialist John Dewey, called American Pragmatism. Indeed, supporters of President Obama, despite his well-documented life-long devotion to communist, socialist, and generally Leftist causes, assure us that he is not ideological at all, but simply wants practical solutions to our nation’s problems. It’s purely a coincidence that his proposals always somehow end up increasing the size and power of the state.

I note this history because it came to mind when I read President Obama’s characterization of Egyptian president Morsi’s Gaza game, in which the latter won great acclaim by siccing his pit bull on the neighbors, and then modestly claiming credit as a peacemaker when he decided to (momentarily) pull back on the leash:

“Mr. Obama told aides he was impressed with the Egyptian leader’s pragmatic confidence,” The New York Times reported after the Gaza ceasefire Nov. 21. “He sensed an engineer’s precision with surprisingly little ideology.” [Emphasis added]

Yes, a major player in the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization whose ultimate goal is the imposition of sharia law on the world and the end of Western civilization, has no ideology at all. He just wants to do what “works.” And few things work better than a thuggish protection racket when there is no punishment for the extortionate behavior. In fact, the administration won’t even bring itself to criticize Morsi and his minions’ pro-jihad rhetoric, presumably because, like Joe Klein, and despite vast and obvious evidence to the contrary, they think that he is a “moderate” who might somehow become radicalized by any truth uttered about his behavior:

MS. NULAND: Well, I’m obviously not, from this podium, going to characterize the Egyptian view, nor am I going to speak for them and characterize our private diplomatic conversations. I will say that in all of the conversations that she has had, that the President had with President Morsi, we all agree on the need to de-escalate this conflict, and the question is for everybody to use the influence that they have to try to get there.

And all this, of course, was before he decided to make himself the new Pharaoh, arrogating unto himself almost unlimited political power, to which the administration’s response has been almost as anemic:

…asked point blank if the White House “condemned” Morsi’s move, Carney stopped short.

“We are concerned about it and have raised those concerns,” he said.

Carney said Obama has not spoken with Morsi since the Islamist Egyptian president helped achieve a truce between Hamas and Israel, but said Obama’s recent praise of Morsi was limited to those efforts.

Muslim Brotherhood took "billions" from Obama

Al Arabiya is reporting that Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has been accused of taking 10 billion Egyptian pounds (U.S. $1.5 billion) from the American government, according to claims by Egyptian lawyers.
 
An immediate investigation into the accusation was ordered by Prosecutor General Talaat Abdallah on Thursday.

The lawyers, Mohamed Ali Abd al-Wahab and Yasser Mohamed Sayab, filed the complaint against the Muslim Brotherhood for the allegedly illegal money transaction, Egypt's private daily Al-Masry Al-Youm reported on Jan. 3.
 
The complaint noted that Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate for the recent U.S. presidential election, had said that $1.5 billion was given to support Egypt's Brotherhood by the Obama administration.
 
In addition, the lawyers accused the Muslim Brotherhood of having armed mercenaries or a “third party,” who have instigated violence during and after the revolutionary uprising in the country.
 
The armed mercenaries are trained in the desert, which lies between the city of Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh in Egypt, the lawyers alleged.
