Remember hearing Michelle say her husband had "led us out of darkness and into the light". Many of us were shocked she would have the audacity to allude he in some way had saved America the way Christ saved the world.

Here is a more telling perspective:

"Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve - their allies are Taghut. They take them out of the light into darknesses. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein."
The Quran, Al-Baqarah 2:257

Obama: Son of Islam?

Raymond Ibrahim says many in the media are indignant with Reverend Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.  Invited on “Morning Joe” last Tuesday to discuss Christian persecution, the hosts turned the focus to interrogating Graham on whether he thought Barack Obama was Christian or not.  Though the Reverend concluded that Obama “has said he’s a Christian, so I just have to assume that he is,” he appeared skeptical, suggesting Obama’s policies disagree with Christian principles, and thus earning the full ire of much of the fourth estate.

Intrinsically trivial on many levels, this incident nevertheless brings several important points to the fore.

First, Graham was absolutely right to say that, “under Islamic law, the Muslim world sees Barack Obama as a Muslim, as a son of Islam”: according to Sharia, if one’s father is Muslim, one automatically becomes Muslim.  In fact, the reason behind last week’s church attack in Egypt, when thousands of Muslims tried to torch a church and kill its pastor, is that a Christian girl fled her father after he converted to Islam: she did not want to be Muslim, and was rumored to be hiding in the church.  (This would not be the first time in recent months that churches were attacked on similar rumors.)

Because of this automatic passage of Islam from father to son—with the death penalty for those seeking to apostatize, the condemned Iranian pastor being just the most visible example—and because Obama attended a madrassa (a Muslim religious school) during his youth in Indonesia, many Muslims are convinced that Obama is a “secret” Muslim. In a Forbes article, “My Muslim President Obama: Why members of the faith see him as one of the flock,” writer Asma Gull Hasan elaborates:

[S]ince Election Day, I have been part of more and more conversations with Muslims in which it was either offhandedly agreed that Obama is Muslim or enthusiastically blurted out. In commenting on our new president, “I have to support my fellow Muslim brother,” would slip out of my mouth before I had a chance to think twice. “Well, I know he’s not really Muslim,” I would quickly add. But if the person I was talking to was Muslim, they would say, “yes he is.” …. Most of the Muslims I know (me included) can’t seem to accept that Obama is not Muslim. Of the few Muslims I polled who said that Obama is not Muslim, even they conceded that he had ties to Islam…. The rationalistic, Western side of me knows that Obama has denied being Muslim, that his father was non-practicing, that he doesn’t attend a mosque. Many Muslims simply say back, “my father’s not a strict Muslim either, and I haven’t been to a mosque in years.” Obama even told The New York Times he could recite the adhan, the Islamic call to prayer, which the vast majority of Muslims, I would guess, do not know well enough to recite. [Read the entire article, which is more eye-opening than the author probably intended.]

Another reason why many Muslims believe Obama is Muslim (a reason Ms. Hasan’s article understandably omits) is that, under the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya, Muslims are permitted—in certain contexts even encouraged—to deny being Muslim, if so doing secures them or Islam an advantage. Accordingly, Islamic history is full of stories of Muslims denying and publicly cursing Islam, even pretending to be Christian, whenever it was strategic.

In other words, if an American president was a secret Muslim, and if he was lying about it, and even if he was secretly working to subvert the U.S. to Islam’s advantage —not only would that be justified by Islamic doctrines of loyalty and deception, but it would have ample precedents, stretching back to the dawn of Islam. Such as when Muhammad commanded a convert from an adversarial tribe to conceal his new Muslim identity and go back to his tribe—which he cajoled with a perfidious “You are my stock and my family, the dearest of men to me”—only to betray them to Islam’s invading armies.

Graham further upset “progressive” sensitivities by saying “All I know is under Obama, President Obama, the Muslims of the world, he seems to be more concerned about them than the Christians that are being murdered in the Muslim countries,” adding that “Islam has gotten a free pass under Obama.”

Yet who can deny this? Whether by expunging any reference to Islam in U.S. security documents, or enabling Muslim persecution of Christians, or ordering NASA to make Muslims “feel good” about themselves, or bowing to the anti-Christian Saudi king—the President has made his partiality for Islam very clear: Islam is undoubtedly getting a “free pass” under Obama.

What Franklin Graham’s critics fail to understand is that, when it comes to Obama’s religious identity, the Reverend probably has Jesus’ dictum in mind: “By their fruits shall ye know them”—that is, pro-Islamic actions speak louder than Christian words.

Obama's Marxist faith is a legitimate campaign issue

Investor's Business Daily says Normally a president's faith is a personal, not political, matter and should be left alone. But Obama's faith dictates his political agenda, and therefore is fair game as a campaign issue.

GOP presidential front-runner Rick Santorum did not go "well over the line," as the White House howled, when he questioned Obama's faith during a recent speech. He didn't go far enough.

Santorum said Obama practices a "phony theology" not based on the Bible. He said it's tied to his agenda and led by "radicals" like the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Both are true statements. But there's more.

What he also could have said, but stopped short of saying, is that Obama's faith -- Black Liberation Theology (BLT) -- is actually a front for Marxism and communism. That makes it not only a legitimate topic of discussion, but a critical issue worth investigating.

If only the mainstream media would. Thanks to their refusal, Pew recently found 43% of Americans don't know what Obama's religion is. As we said in a series that ran on these pages in the run-up to the 2008 election, it's important they find out.

BLT, in fact, is the Rosetta stone for understanding Obama and his agenda, decoding his rhetoric, and divining where he plans to take this country. Here is a primer:

• The doctrine is an explicitly Marxist interpretation of the Bible whose aim is to stir up class and race hatred.

• BLT combines the teachings of Christ with those of Marx to justify the overthrow of the capitalist system.

• It does not believe the Bible is inerrant. Hence, it can be, as Obama put it, "modified to accommodate modern life."

• A core tenet holds that Christ was a black revolutionary oppressed and "lynched" by white Roman colonists, and that he delivered a liberating message of social and political change. He was not for all but only for the poor and oppressed -- a liberator, not a personal redeemer.

• BLT ignores the epistles of Paul and the other apostles since they accept the institution of slavery that existed at the time.

• It also rejects heaven as "pie in the sky" and instead advocates changing the world in the here and now, something that Obama has said he found "very attractive."

• As professor James Cone, the father of BLT, once explained it, "Black theology seeks to prepare all nonwhites for revolutionary action."

• "Together," Cone wrote in his memoir, "black religion and Marxist philosophy may show us the way to build a completely new society."

• Cone's book, "Black Theology & Black Power," was required reading for parishioners of Obama's church in Chicago. Trinity United Church of Christ, in fact, is the BLT Vatican of BLT in America -- and Obama was steeped in this doctrine for 20 years.

• Obama in his memoir defended the doctrine as sensible, and has called it "the best education I ever had."

• Cone, now a professor in New York, says he sees nothing in Obama's agenda, actions or speech "that contradicts Black Liberation Theology" -- he's merely sanded over the "radical edge to it."

Four years ago, Obama quit his church and threw his crackpot preacher under the bus to get elected. But he has yet to find another church. Nor has he disavowed any part of BLT. The few in the media who've quizzed him about it have been stiff-armed.

"Obama declined requests for an interview or to respond to written questions about his thoughts on Jesus, Cone or Black Liberation Theology," McClatchy Newspapers reported in March 2008, just months after we first raised the issue here.

Obama's pseudo-faith, which has little to do with spirituality, cannot be separated from his politics -- they're one and the same. His theology is more relevant to the national debate than that of any other presidential candidate in American history.

Here is the solution:a)his white half is an atheistChristian, that is a pseudo Christian who is like a shapechanger and can be whatever is needful in the room he is in and whatever the  other people in the room think he is.b)his black half is an amalgam of MalcolmX, Frank M. Davis, MLK, Rev. Wright, ValGar, and every black athlete he has tried to imitate. With a mix like that, how could anyone doubt that he is muslim? All things to all people, and remember to keep saying 'death to the infidel' no matter who he means.

The facts speak for themselves! Who are you going to believe, Obama or your lying eyes? As a Murtad or Apostate he can do anything he wants in the name of his hidden agenda which is to bring down the infidels for the glory of Allah.

"He seems more concerned about Muslims than Christians murdered by Muslims"

Evangelist Franklin Graham called Barack Obama's religious views into question on Tuesday, stating that he does not know for sure if Obama is a Christian.

Graham also said he could not be sure that Obama was not a Muslim.

"All I know is under Obama, President Obama, the Muslims of the world, he seems to be more concerned about them than the Christians that are being murdered in the Muslim countries," he said.

He continued, "Islam sees him as a son of Islam... I can't say categorically that [Obama is not Muslim] because Islam has gotten a free pass under Obama."

Opinion

Yesterday, Rick Santorum's spokeswoman retracted a comment Santorum made, saying, "He was not questioning the president's character, he wasn't questioning the president's religion."

Since then, I have had several emails asking me my opinion of whether Barack Obama is a Muslim, or not.  My personal view is that he is more Muslim than Christian, but being the ObamaMessiah, he's really above all that religious nonsense.

[ObamaHaloSmall]

But, what does the evidence say?

Islam is patralineal.  Barack Obama's grandfather was a Muslim.  His father was a Muslim,  According to Islamic theologians, and The New York Times, Barack Obama is either a Muslim, or an apostate Muslim.

The Times reports, "His [Obama] conversion, however, was a crime in Muslim eyes; it is 'irtidad' or 'ridda,' usually translated from the Arabic as 'apostasy,' but with connotations of rebellion and treason.  Indeed, it is the worst of all crimes that a Muslim can commit, worse than murder (which the victim’s family may choose to forgive)."

According to Obama, his religious education as a child was clearly in Islam.

On page 142 of his autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the Quran and describes the public school as "a Muslim school."

"In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies."

Tine Hahiyary, one of Obama's teachers and the principal of the school from 1971 through 1989, said that Barry actively took part in the Islamic religious lessons during his time at the school.  His teacher was named Maimunah and she lived in the Puncak area, the Cianjur Regency.

"I remembered that he had studied 'mengaji' (recitation of the Quran)," Tine said.

An American Expat in Southeast Asia writes: "The actual usage of the word 'mengaji' in Indonesian and Malaysian societies means the study of learning to recite the Quran in the Arabic language rather than the native tongue.  "Mengagi" is a word and a term that is accorded the highest value and status in the mindset of fundamentalist societies here in Southeast Asia.  To put it quite simply, 'mengaji classes' are not something that a non practicing or so-called moderate Muslim family would ever send their child to.  To put this in a Christian context, this is something above and beyond simply enrolling your child in Sunday school classes."

Maya Soetoro-NG, Obama's sister was quoted in The New York Times, saying, "My whole family was Muslim, and most of the people I knew were Muslim."

I assume Maya thinks of Barack Obama as a member of her family.

But, here is the smoking gun -- in an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent."

The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the  Shahada:

"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... "

According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim.  This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim's complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam.

Obama knows this from his Quranic studies -- and he knows the New York Times will publish this fact and it will be seen throughout the Islamic world.

Regardless of what Obama says his religion is, what message was he sending the world's 1.2 billion Muslims?

But Team Obama says Barack Obama is a "committed Christian," even though his public affirmation of his Muslim faith and other related accounts were published in The New York Times.

So it's pretty clear that "the newspaper of record" is convinced that Obama was, or is, Muslim.

But Team Obama still insists that Barack Obama is a "committed Christian."  But is their assertion one of fact or one of political expediency?

As an adult, Obama's religious experience was hardly mainstream Christianity.  The only form of Christianity he's ever been around is the angry Marxist Black Liberation Theology preached to him by his "religious mentor," the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright.

Wright is a leftist black nationalist preacher, who preaches African-American unity through antipathy toward whites.  He dabbled in Islam, and received his master's degree from the University of Chicago’s Divinity School with a focus on Islam in West Africa during the 19th Century -- when the trans-Atlantic Slave Trade was at its zenith.

Wright sought to build his church on the black "Theology of Liberation," the Marxist ideology introduced in 1968 by Rev. James Cone of New York.  It emphasizes Africa's contribution to Christianity rather than that of mainstream theologians.

Black Liberation Theology embraces a black God.

Liberation Theology's god isn't the loving, forgiving, wise, and powerful God most Christians know.   Obama's god, the god of Trinity, is not in the business of bringing people together, instead he is a god that is totally exclusive to the black community.   White Americans need to realize that Obama's god is not here for understanding, or reconciliation.   Obama's god is here to participate in the destruction of the white race by any means possible.

Barack Obama's Jesus, a black man, was sent to this world by God to endure the pain and humiliation of black people in order to free them from the oppression of whites and transform them into liberating servants.   Trinity's Jesus is not the Jesus of the bible.   So when Obama says Rev. Wright, "introduced me to Jesus," he is speaking of a Jesus that belongs solely to the black community.  In the words of Rev. Wright's mentor and most prominent theologian in this religion, James Cone, "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community.  If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.  The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ...  Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy."

Many people doubt that Obama can believe this stuff, but Obama admits that the first thing that attracted him to Trinity was the "Black Value System."  A system based on James Cone's revelation that Jesus is for black people only, "In the New Testament, Jesus is not for all, but for the oppressed, the poor and unwanted of society, and against oppressors ...  Either God is for black people in their fight for liberation and against the white oppressors, or he is not."   Add to this his twenty year membership, marriage, and baptism of his daughters and you have a man that is up to his ears in hatred of white people.

America be warned, Obama's god is very similar to the god of jihad and terror.  Obama's faith and extreme Islam share a common thread: they both see America as an oppressor that god has decided to destroy.  As James Cone says, "What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal.  Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."

Pope Benedict XVI fought the infiltration of Marxists promoting Liberation Theology in the church. In "Liberation Theology" (2007) he wrote:

"...where the Marxist ideology of liberation had been consistently applied, a total lack of freedom had developed, whose horrors were now laid bare before the eyes of the entire world.  Wherever politics tries to be redemptive, it is promising too much. Where it wishes to do the work of God, it becomes not divine, but demonic."

So, it's up to the reader to decide whether Obama is a Muslim, a Chritian, or something else.

Personally, I believe Obama's religion is Marxism.  He's a Marxist who is empathetic towards Islam.

Christianity?  Oh that!  That's political.

Obama explained his relationship to Christianity himself.  In the paperback version of "The Audacity of Hope," in the chapter entitled "Faith," beginning on page 195, and ending on page 208, Obama tells us that he doesn’t really have any profound religious belief, but that in his early Chicago days he felt he needed to acquire some spiritual "street cred."
